@@chloebramos4070 it's a new feature for single sims to have a baby on their own or just with someone they know in general. Was part of the infant update.

"Lucy, don't swear in front of the kid" is the EXACT same thing I've said many times when I play 😂😂

I'd actually love to see a full playthrough of this family, including raising up their kids through teenhood and whatnot
I learned from watching James Turner and lilsimsie that it's easier if you do it from the infants perspective (feeding, bathing, etc.)

I think its cool and makes sense that there are different movies because movies that are in theater haven't fully come out yet so the movies that come with the other pack have already come out and these ones haven't yet they are just "in theater".

I’ll admit to being curious how Growing Together would effect this family. I’m glad you played them again! It’s probably a good thing that you just made these three sims in CAS because can you imagine the chaos if they each had parents and the game tried to have them come over for a stay!?! I haven’t bought the pack yet because I have a family where the parents of one of my sims are both remarried to other sims so there’s three pairs of grandparents in that save file’s main family and that’s already been chaotic to play prior to the expansion pack (I seriously don’t know what I was thinking when I decided to do that). Although I get the feeling Elliot would get along with the new Kyle character from the expansion pack.
I hadn’t even realized that those are new movies, but I agree with you about them. Though I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by it.
I enjoy the videos with this throuple family. It’s a very different way to play the game and introduces its own challenges and rewards to playing this way. I think it’s great that you’ve been able to manage them to still have strong romantic relationships with each other AND take care of infants, have jobs, etc! I give you kudos for trying to let them have a date night, but besides both not liking the movie, the game really doesn’t like to let parents go on date nights alone (at least that’s what I’ve observed with others playing the new expansion pack). I mean, it is kinda realistic. Most of my friends who have kids pretty much didn’t have date nights until their kids were school age and any events or activities they were attending usually needed to include stuff for infants and toddlers, something some of my fellow kidless friends sometimes forgot about. You’re right about a lot parenting today just putting a tablet in front of a kid and have them watch Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, Bluey, etc. I think the Sims team needs to make a Wabbit tablet version that sits up for infants to watch. When I worked at a steakhouse I noticed lots of parents had such things for their kids that they’d sit on the highchair or they had a device that attached it to the carrying seat. Toddlers had Wabbit tablet type things they watched and many kids had cell phones they watched stuff on. Heck, even the teens were on their phones messaging friends while sitting with their family at the table. And the adults and elders at the table had those fitbit or Apple watches on and would be checking them. Which is why I giggle anytime I see that meme going around about kids not going outside enough due to technology. Sure at the restaurant I saw this, but in my neighborhood the kids still ride their bikes, walk the dogs, play basketball, skateboard/roller skate, or play in their yards. Of course my street isn’t a busy street whereas some of my friends kids play in the backyard, but it isn’t safe to play out front due to traffic (in one friend’s case they built a new school building to relocate that school less than a block away from her house so now there’s tons of traffic Monday through Friday with parents dropping off kids in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon; likewise another friend lives in a neighborhood where a church not only expanded it literally bought the street between the major street the church is on and the section of street her house is on. That street is now blocked off and people going to and from the church the four days a week it has services all have to go around passed her house to enter the church’s parking lot…to say she’s upset by the changes is an understatement).

I completely understand how you feel. I usually find it frustrating after major updates to play the game so I have gotten to where I’ll sometimes intentionally play other games for a bit while waiting for the inevitable bug fixes update that follows major updates to the game.
I think it's a little cheeky! I love little rabbit hole things like the movie theatre, but I also wish it was implemented better!
I agree... I hate the Sims after an update. However, they did fix 'read toddler to sleep', I can finally do that in my game after a year!!!!!!!!!! And I figured out Infants to shut them up... 1. don't leave the house lol 2. NEVER go into CAS or Change Sim at the wardrode because it resets 'high chair' progress. 3. If you have 2 parents it's easier lol
The food preferences resetting is so anjoying! I had tried almost all foods and I went into CAS and it was all gone. At least the related milestones were there.
I've noticed that sometimes it works better if you get the infant to ask for bath/food/sleep etc, for some reason that doesn't make the parents glitch
You can add the polyamorous trait with WW just in case to stave off jealousy and make it more authentic. But also maybe have each mother ‘adopt as care dependent’ since they can’t officially adopt. You can also have them as fiancés and spouses. For example the two gfs are married, but engaged to the bf, within game settings.
Edit: and the science baby idea for the gfs is really good.

@@Daiska_Plays there's also wonderful whims which is the pg version, but (in my experience) it's a pain to get it to work correctly. It kept making it impossible for my sims to get pregnant when I was doing a modified 100 baby challenge about a year or 2 ago
@@musamaka9848 yeah it doesn't play nice if MC is also installed. I gave up running both because of conflicts with ptrgnancy.

Edited: I am wondering if you have tried to control the actions for the infants THROUGH the infants yet? It seems to work better for me and some other simmers I watch =). Just go to infant and ask to be put to bed, or fed, etc... just like toddlers!!!

Glitching infants is what I've had since the new update. I can't find the mode or CC that is causing it. I really hope it is one of the fixes that gets fixed asap.
2:38 there actually is a base game tablet that you can use to train every toddler skill!
Infants/toddlers have to have diaper changed and bath to be clean if you don't change the diaper the bath won't work completely I've noticed anyways..
It's like giving your kid a bath and then putting the poop diaper back on. 🤢

I have a throuple family in my game too, but it was kind of accidental. The game generated two different townie guys with the exact same first and last names, AND MCCC had them living together. So naturally, Nina Caliente moved in with them and the three are very happily raising two kids xD
Babies and toddlers in the sims remind me everyday why I don't want kids 😅
if you make the infants calm then get the self soother quirk then they are MUCH quieter

My first experience of sims having a babies was in Sims 4 and it was so bad 😂
They would take kids out of the crib put them on a floor lift them up put them of the floor again… i had to take full control of their every move when it comes to interacting with newborn and infants. Otherwise poor kids can’t get normal sleep.
Now kids walking but my sims won’t interact with them unless I told them to 😂

I hate how much they make the infants cry. Infants do not cry 23 hours a day. They changed the baby cry too, and it's now even more horrible and gurgling. I don't want my sims to have babies anymore. I started having my sims adopt toddlers.

I don’t play with sound on but I watch other simmers and it’s so hard to watch when the babies just cry the entire time. It’s so annoying!
