It feels like ever since the new guy who took over after Hirano's position will do a great job with how he did judging by the big 7th anniversary update and how the upcoming dlc is looking so far.
i just recently started playing the game again after a year or two of not playing and i still have a bit of fun making a new cac and playing with friends and grinding. but once i’ve pretty much finished doing that all that’s left is pvp which is still a lot of fun but it’s littered with so many connection errors and other issues. now there’s, really nothing left to do except wait for the new dlc which i’m hype for but they can still do so much more with this game that even isn’t necessarily that big that would expand it (mainly more with customization)
Xenoverse 2 is a fun game to revisit once in a while if nothing else, but yeah it's not in that "daily play for months on end" mode anymore and hasn't been in a while.
I will say, I think Xenoverse 3 should have more elaborate what-ifs. It feels like they just drop us into a single fight with a small twist and then say "time's fixed, let's do it again tomorrow". Give me the long term results of a time mishap, show me how bad it gets beyond "the heroes lose this fight now". Make me do REAL cleanup.
Completely agree! They need to really dive into those crazy timelines and give us some chain reactions to things.
Funnily enough Dragon Ball Hero’s is more along the lines of what Xenoverse COULD be.
But I like your point! Xeno 3 would most definitely take the series the farthest It’s ever gone.

I LOVE XENOVERSE. I beat xenoverse 2 before i even watched dragon ball in general. But dang it was a good game. I remember thinking the game was flawless because of the customization and everything. Ofc i was 12 at the time. But to me, the game was flawless. The xenoverse series could have infinte potential with the "what if " scenarios. The concept of making a dragon ball game and training under ur favorite characters is just AWESOME. Now im older rhe game is ight, i just wish people wouldnt pvp the way they do lol. Skill isssue on my end
I understand man the game hit different for me too, I still love the game and the concept is fun too but after all this time it just feels like they can do more…
A new game definitely would let them reset and take Xenoverse to the next level.
PVP will always be chaotic too but I love it at the same time lol.
If Xenoverse 3 is a thing that will happen i think the setting would be involving the Super Hero adaptation. im all for the DLC support but i am also for brand new timeline to explore as well. I'd say a Xenoverse 3 wouldn't happen till at least several years after sparkling Zero had its time to shine with fans.
I agree, Xenoverse can essentially go as crazy as they want creating a story because they control timelines and have Fu running around, but they stay not to far off the path from the canon unlike DB Hero’s.
But yeah the release of Xeno 3 will def be years out now after Sparking Zero, but that isn’t all bad cause the consoles will be much more powerful.
I love DBX2. I honestly wanted the PVE to be more challenging. E.g. more PQs, Expert Missions, raids, etc. Especially after we got the Beast and Ultra Instinct. We got these new forms, now what? Of course, I'll get the DLCs for the time. However, I think another sequel is well over due.
Agreed my friend, Xenoverse 3 would be the perfect reset and hopefully would bring new things to the series like xeno 2 did for the 1st one.

I have every Platform as well, but I mainly stay on Xbox because my friends and I have used the ol box since middle school to this day.

Would love it if these next few chapters lead to an XV3. Usually, we only know about the Pak that we are seeing promoted and maybe that they will be another in its future. It's been a long time since they've been able to promise stuff into next year. Wouldn't be mad if 2025 was the last year, but if it led to a new title as well.
Xenoverse 2 it being ported to next gen consoles by the way.
And I think that makes sense, only because most players are already on the next gen (Series X|S, and PS5) so it’s a good move.
But I don’t expect Xenoverse 2 to get the GTA V treatment for future consoles. Even GTA understands that a new game would benefit them the most for the long haul at this point.
Did they ever fix Online mode?
If your talking about the netcode then I’m not entirely sure…. The online battles I’ve played most recently were pretty smooth though.

Are you saying that the dlcs are not worth enough?
Not at all my friend, I think the DLC is worth it for sure. I just believe that most day 1/first year release players feel the same burnout... I still love the game I'm just not the biggest fan of the state its in.
But the fact that the game still gets attention is good for Xeno as a whole.
