Preach it Paul. We see so many people buying just massive fridges for 2 people on weekend trips. Less is more and the dual zone 50 is our absolute favorite fridge on the market.

For two people who will use the fridge year round and in colder climates during winter. Would you recommend the 52L or 50L dual? I know on previous videos you mentioned the dual zones don’t work well in cold climates.

I think that was for the 50L dual zone with a single temperature control. Not sure if that applies to the 50l dual control.

Would you rather have the Danfoss/Seacop or the NL compressor?

Great question. Most folks would pick the NL compressor simply because of the cost savings out the door. The Danfoss/Secop compressors bumped the price of the fridges significantly because of the amount of hands (that expect to be paid) that the Danfoss/Secop compressors pass through. We were able to bring the price down by about a third when they sourced their new compressor. National Luna also offers a significantly improved 8 year warranty on the compressor itself. We don't know of any fridge that offers that kind of compressor warranty. For the cost savings and a best in class warranty, we would choose the NL compressor. As far as the compressor goes, it's based on the Danfoss/Secop compressor and we have had very few issues with their proprietary compressors.

@@Equipt1 Thank you for answering 🙂. I think I would get the NL compressor too. I'm a truck driver. I have had a few Indel B truck fridges with Danfoss/Seacop, in Paccars. And out of the four trucks I had with Indel B fridges. Two sh*t the bed. My former boss said usually out of a lot of 30 Peterbilts. Over the four year service life he'd have to buy 9+ replacement fridges. And it was all compressor issues.
He moved on to Volvo trucks and they run Dometics. And he said years from 2011-2021, over 90+ trucks he's replaced 4 fridges. And those four was because the doors fell off. So I went with Dometic awhile ago. And they work. For my 12v needs.
I was just wondering if National Luna developed their own to circumvent the short comings of the Danfoss/Seacop compressors or what...🤷‍♂️
I'm seeing on the American side of the camping/overlanding crowd ICECO/Indel B pushing those Secop fridges hard.
Those National Luna fridges just look like quality. Engels do to. But the NL's are very nice looking and specced units.
Oh and the warranty is wonderful at 8 years.
