Erin, thank you for your candor in the struggles with walking through the dementia journey. You really did a great job putting it into words. Praying for you and your mom.

Our mother just passed away this past September at 87. What an amazing life she had, we were blessed indeed. Your mom reminds me of my mom who had dementia for the last ten or so years. Your friend Tippy was spot-on with her advice. I would like to add another person for anyone who has a loved one with dementia to seek out and her name is Teepa Snow. Dementia is a difficult disease and we need resources. Teepa's knowledge and wisdom were a huge asset to our family as my mom's dementia progressed. The foundational truth for the dignity of life is at the core of Teepa's methods which is called, Positive Approach to Care. My hope is that others are blessed by her content as well. PS. I came to your channel for another topic but this video series caught my eye and here I am. God is so good and I'm glad to be here. God bless you all! ❤

My grandmother had Alzheimer’s just as it was being recognized as a disease. My mother, now 95, has fronto-temporal dementia that became evident in her late 70’s. My precious dad died 2 yrs ago and I thought she’d follow him rapidly, but she’s still here. I’m grateful that she still recognizes me, but that’s pretty much it; she doesn’t remember him at all. They were married 72 yrs. I’ve realized she’s still here for a reason that only the Lord knows. Erin, thank you and I walk with you. Praise God from whom all blessings flow

I lost my dad to brain cancer two years ago. Very similar road. Thank you for your vulnerability, Erin! So important that we share the good, bad and the ugly.
