- 1992 Honda NSR250R MC21 complete refurbishment. Stripped down to the last nut and bolt. One of the most amazing V twin two stroke super bikes. The only non original addition to the build are the Tyga exhausts and the airbox lid.

This was my first bike when I was 16 in Japan which is only 15 years ago. I bought it for $2000. I really wish I kept it😢
They are really awesome! I am in the process of restoring an MC28 to the same level that was done to this MC21. I hope you come across another one :)

Wow. I just picked one up here in the states. Runs perefect. Great "tutorial" kinda. That's all i need to tear it down and clean it up for show and ride.
This exact color scheme NSR was the first bike I bought after moving to Japan in 1999. I put JHA exhaust, carbon fiber reed valves, new CDI, steering damper, and intake & carburetor mods on it and the bike was a beast. I miss the sound and power of it but not the "I may die on this today" part...

Very nice looking restoration. One tiny nitpick... the subframe should be silver, for originality. Of course, if black was a conscious choice, then no problem at all. I notice the airbox lid is TYGA too.

What quite a few get wrong is that it not a 'V' but an 'L' twin.
Yeah, Honda have no idea what they're talking about! 🙄🙄
Just like Ducati. They are L Twins too. It's just a commonly accepted error.@@MrMairu555

The brake caliper appears to be in the wrong position. The Nissin mark should be visible from the outside to be normal

Beautiful work on an awesome machine, looks as good as when it came out of the factory. Any chance of rebuilding a Yamaha TZR250 reverse cylinder?
