  • Hey everyone, before we get started, I just want to make something clear. I have a confession to make - I'm really bad at doing math in my head on the fly. In fact, in this video, I accidentally said that 9 times 6 equals 56. Obviously, that's not true. I blame my inability to count on my fingers and my lack of sleep from staying up all night binge-watching cat videos. But in all seriousness, I want to apologize for any confusion that may have caused. And to clarify, the actual math I should have done was 9 times 8 because I can't seem to count containers properly either. If you’ve read this far comment 9x6= (something completely false) to confuse future watchers! I know you all have my back!
So, if you have any tips or tricks for a mathematically challenged gardener like myself, please leave them in the comments below. And don't forget to hit that like and subscribe button for more videos on gardening, cooking, and my hilarious struggles with basic arithmetic!

Living in zone 3 on the Canadian Prairies presents unique challenges for homesteading and herbalism. The harsh climate, dry and nutrient-poor soil, and risk of drought are just a few of the obstacles we face. However, we have found ways to adapt, using new technologies, crop genetics, and gardening techniques. We also source plants from other regions and dry and store them for future use. We are excited to share these tips and techniques with you.
We are inspired by our grandfather, who taught us the value of determination and the importance of living in harmony with nature. His love for gardening and herbalism has stayed with us throughout our lives, and we are honored to carry on his legacy.

Oh wow, those are so many seeds per cell! I thought I was being clever by doing 2 or 3 hahaha, I'll have to try to do them more densely in the future! Also, I'm so happy to see your tulips growing! You may want to look into how to get the stems to be longer if selling to florists. Perhaps more light or more water? Maybe a bit longer of chill time?

Wow Cody, you're going to have lots of plants there. Look forward to watching them produce. 😊 Around what date do you normally put them out. Do you have a greenhouse?

I know. I take what I can get from the sun loving plants. They are doing better these years with warmer summers though.
