Stockwell 2 is already Bluetooth 5.0.
Really appreciate your review. Just got the Stockwell II myself. I really like it more than my Bose Revolve+
Looking online, I found that when I bought this like 2 years ago the only color available was black which shows up on Best Buy's website. Now there are 2 other colors (grey and indigo) which also show up on Best Buy's website. The black and grey versions does not mention which bluetooth version this speaker has but the indigo color say bluetooth 5.0. So possibly all colors have 5.0 or the indigo color is an upgraded version especially of the black color but possibly thr grey. Not 100% sure though so don't quote me on this.
Hey, Really appreciate your video. How is the speaker doing so far? Did the battery backup last well?
The speaker still sounds great! I didn't realize it doubled as a battery back up but the speaker lasts a pretty long time.
Great review, such a gorgeous little speaker!
When it goes on standby, is there any kind of sound signal when it does that?
Thanks! I love it as more of a stationary speaker or if I'm hanging out with friends in the backyard. Sounds amazing :).
Not that I know of.
I heard that the reverb on this make other songs sound bad? Is it true?
I personally haven't experienced this. Maybe if you don't change the bass and Treble knobs but with being able to adjust them it makes it very easy to tailor the sound kinda to whatever song you want
Hi! May I know how long the battery typically lasts for you? I noticed that I haven’t been getting the claimed 20 hours that they advertise. My EQ settings are vol 10 (I control the volume on my phone, usually at 50%) bass 7, treble 4. I noticed that after 5 hours of watching videos on my phone the battery indicator already shows that half has already been drained. Thanks in advance for your response!
Hi! I have mine set to about the same. My battery tends to last about 10-13 hours give or take. It just depends but I don't run my speaker constantly. But when I add up roughly the amount of time I use it, it would be about 10-13 hours. I know their claimed 20 hours is perfect conditions, volume probably at 50% with bass and treble at about 50% as well.
@@MatthewBaxter2010 Thanks very much for your reply! I was getting worried that there was something wrong with my battery 😅
Have you thought about getting the Emberton? Just because of its portability.
I have. I just love the fact that you can change the bass and treble on this speaker. Portability wise the Emberton is a lot smaller but from what I have heard it does have some downfalls and for only $50 more you can get a speaker that is more than double the size. The JBL Flip 5 for comparison (which is in the same category as the Emberton) and the Sony XB-23 currently $89.99 ($119.99 full price) and $59.99 ($99.99) respectively are cheaper and very competitive. Price for the Emberton is currently $99.99 or $149.99 at full price. But I've heard it sounds decent just not as portable cuz it Is made out of a denser and heavier plastic.
Yeah. It’s a brick basically. I did notice that Best Buy had it for $99 so I was slightly tempted. But like you mentioned, the lack of an EQ gave me pause. Also, I wish it came with some sorta strap or lanyard, which would increase it’s portability. Anyway, thanks for getting back so quickly.
Anytime! I hope this helps. Yeah it is like a small brick and doesn't have EQ adjustments or a strap. I would say check out the Sony XB-23 or the JBL Flip 5. Both are on sale for cheaper and sound very good. I have a review on both of them on my channel.
Can 2 or more Stockwell 2s be linked?
I don't think you can
