DOES the AquaClear Hang on Back Refugium WORK? (Modded)

Even though it didn't work the way I wanted it to, it was a successful mod. Instead of growing cheato algae I grew green hair algae and ulva. I just let it sit empty basically and stuff started to colonize it and I think randomly adding live rock was able to help with that. I run this for about 9 hours and in addition to helping control phosphates it looks pretty cool on the tank. I think this is a great addition to a sumpless reef and I recommend others to try it, though results will probably vary.
