It’s both melodic and dissonant. It reminds me of the Deviant Process album from last year. This is at least my favorite album of the week. With more listens I’ll be able to say it’s AOTY. Great work guys
I’m sorry man, I would respectfully disagree. This was kind of boring with vocals not up to par. Shadow of intent - elegy far better and Ben vocals are godlike. This is just my opinion. Cheers
Awesome. So dexterous. Some of this sounds like Decrepit Birth, some sounds like Dani Filth on the mic, and overall a delicious and rich album. Congrats!!
Not a single track on here is skippable, the whole album is best listened in one shot. The way the different songs have their own feeling each time means that you really don't want to skip anything. If I was nitpicky I'd want the vocals just a bit more to the front of the mix because they're so good, but at the same time the way the album sounds is pretty damn good as it is.

Just got the CD. I'm not one for quick judgements. Music takes time to grow on one, the more complex the more time needed - but this is growing fast. Yes, I'll be immersing myself into this one!💀🤘

just insane material, love the atmospheric vibe of the band and album. The vocals at the end is absolute perfection. Instrumental are out of this world. 10/10 you guys made an AOTY right there. Should we expect some tabs eventually ? :D

why is the album called “Leiden”? Leiden is a city in the netherlands, just below Amsterdam….lived there for quite a few years and though it was okay, it was not thát special to name an album after it🤣
Leiden could be german and would be translated to ''suffering''. Maybe they mean that? Like the german word Dasein (New album from First Fragment) is something like (the) ''being'' in english :o

Lol we've gotten this a few times. German for "suffering" is what we were going for. Hence the chorus in the title track "You were born to suffer."
