Hi Anders. I just started using Power Automate and found your videos. Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Great job organizing the flow of the lessons, just the right appropriate amount of details provided based on the lesson being taught. I'm "older" ie 51 years old and I remember the days before the internet and before CZcams . My company would have to pay $100's of dollars and a day out of the office for a local in person class or $1,000's of dollars and several days out of the office for an out of town class to get this level of instruction. Today all I have to do is search your classes on CZcams at whatever time I want and I'm set! If the price I have to pay are "Likes" and Subscribe it almost feels like highway robbery to me! I appreciate your work!

Hey S. Yes for sure. You can mark everything in the Microsoft Power Automate Desktop editor (all the actions or the actions you want) and then Ctrl+c. Afterward you can Ctrl+v it into e.g. Visual Studio Code and edit the code. Kind regards, Anders

Most of the webpages I've had to work with are more complex react based ones than this example where the fields names/id's change periodically. How do you deal with that in Power Automate? An advanced tutorial on this subject would be really appreciated!

@@andersjensenorg on my regular job, i used PAD for simpler workflows, involving only office suite apps. UiPath is the main go to tool, as our big clients are invested in the platform. on personal front, however, your last session with Allan sold me on OpenFlow/RPA + NodeRed. currently looking into that, as i do have SMB prospects (outside my regular job), looking into starting their automation journey. If i can take out hefty licensing prices out of discussion, this would be so much easier for me to push :)
That's so nice to hear, Nicu. In one of my previous companies, we/they used OpenRPA a lot. Perfect when you want to run multiple parallel robots and don't want to pay a king's ransom in licenses. I really hope you'll share something from the SMB journey somewhere (LinkedIn etc.). Have a great day ☺

I also see more and more enterprises mix uipath and blue prism with openiap, so they don't have to convert everything over night. This also gives room for re-creating many of the automations in a much more scalable way, over just "one 2 one" mapping uipath activities to OpenRPA activities, but bring in nodered much more.

Hi Anders, great video for the beginners like me, though I'm working on something that requires advance technique 😅 Wonder if PAD can capture loading status of the popup browser? 🤔 The webpage contains a link(button) to export the search result to Excel. When clicked, it popup a blank browser window and the Save As dialogue will be displayed when the file is generated and ready for download. The popup has no UI element at all.... 😔

Hi Anders. I am automating a website which has a collapsible row element. After the action of clicking on it and collapsing it when I go to the next step in Power automate the collapsible row auto-closes so I am not able to extract the data from the collapsed row since its closed. I keep getting error "Failed to save screenshot" Illegal characters in path. Here's my path "C:\Users\johnc\Desktop\test" . I used it in a variable called folder_path and saved it in the image file section as %folder_path%\screenshot.png . Please advise if you know the issue. Thank you!

Hi Anders . Please help me out.. I am trying to work on edge using multiple duplicate tabs.. how then do I use power automate to perform an action on a specific tab based on its index in the browser.. i have tried and PAD keeps on performing the actions on the first tab...I have a for each loop with two variables from excel. These varibles need to be input in different tabs in the web browser.. but remember those tabs have the same title and url..

Is it possible to launch an anti detector browser and use the instance of that browser to put as a browser variable? My anti detect is adspower, it is chromium based but in PAD, does not recognise it as a browser option

What if I want to store the password and then go to another web page - however, the username changes every single time? Can I automate it so that it copies the email address that I am reading in the EMAIL I am opening that contains the Username? For instance, I have a request in Outlook for a username/email address...then automate to that webpage where it copies this email address that changes every single time - and then it goes to a Backend program where I assign rights to this username?

Most of the webpages I've had to work with are more complex react based ones than this example where the fields names/id's change periodically. How do you deal with that in Power Automate? An advanced tutorial on this subject would be really appreciated!

@@andersjensenorg thank you Anders, I’ll check it out, and I managed to work it out by watching some good videos on regex in the end. Somewhat unintuitively, for web UI selection regex in PAD, you don’t use the start and ending \ and then it works fine.

@@andersjensenorg on my regular job, i used PAD for simpler workflows, involving only office suite apps. UiPath is the main go to tool, as our big clients are invested in the platform. on personal front, however, your last session with Allan sold me on OpenFlow/RPA + NodeRed. currently looking into that, as i do have SMB prospects (outside my regular job), looking into starting their automation journey. If i can take out hefty licensing prices out of discussion, this would be so much easier for me to push :)
That's so nice to hear, Nicu. In one of my previous companies, we/they used OpenRPA a lot. Perfect when you want to run multiple parallel robots and don't want to pay a king's ransom in licenses. I really hope you'll share something from the SMB journey somewhere (LinkedIn etc.). Have a great day ☺
@@gahshunker Thank you for taking the time to have a look at the openiap platform. I also see more and more enterprises mix uipath and blue prism with openiap, so they don't have to convert everything over night. This also gives room for re-creating many of the automations in a much more scalable way, over just "one 2 one" mapping uipath activities to OpenRPA activities, but bring in nodered much more.

Wonder if PAD can capture loading status of the popup browser? 🤔
The webpage contains a link(button) to export the search result to Excel. When clicked, it popup a blank browser window and the Save As dialogue will be displayed when the file is generated and ready for download. The popup has no UI element at all.... 😔

Hi Anders. I am automating a website which has a collapsible row element. After the action of clicking on it and collapsing it when I go to the next step in Power automate the collapsible row auto-closes so I am not able to extract the data from the collapsed row since its closed. Do you know of any solution for this?

I keep getting error "Failed to save screenshot" Illegal characters in path. Here's my path "C:\Users\johnc\Desktop\test" . I used it in a variable called folder_path and saved it in the image file section as %folder_path%\screenshot.png . Please advise if you know the issue. Thank you!

Hi Anders . Please help me out.. I am trying to work on edge using multiple duplicate tabs.. how then do I use power automate to perform an action on a specific tab based on its index in the browser.. i have tried and PAD keeps on performing the actions on the first tab...I have a for each loop with two variables from excel. These varibles need to be input in different tabs in the web browser.. but remember those tabs have the same title and url..

Is it possible to launch an anti detector browser and use the instance of that browser to put as a browser variable? My anti detect is adspower, it is chromium based but in PAD, does not recognise it as a browser option

What if I want to store the password and then go to another web page - however, the username changes every single time? Can I automate it so that it copies the email address that I am reading in the EMAIL I am opening that contains the Username? For instance, I have a request in Outlook for a username/email address...then automate to that webpage where it copies this email address that changes every single time - and then it goes to a Backend program where I assign rights to this username?
