ALLIANCE absolutely breaks THIS CARD from EX5…

  • Alliance is an interesting mechanic out of EX4 Alternative Being. The Alliance Deck revolves around the Terriermon and Lopmon lines, which allow you to quickly digivolve into dual-colour Green Digimon when using the Alliance mechanic. This engine transforms Alliance from a gimmick into an engine for dual-colour Green Digimon. Alliance has seen success alongside its intended lines of Cherubimon and MegaGargomon, as well as niche success with Imperialdramon. Alliance also has a ton of potential in EX5 Animal Colosseum, where the Lemon archetype gets a wave of new support, including powerful Boss Monsters like BanchoLeomon and HeavyLeomon. Combined with the Indomitable keyword, Alliance has the potential to absolutely break HeavyLeomon and turn it into a fast-digivolving, easily-recurrable board breaker. And Alliance will only get more powerful as the Terriermon and Rapidmon lines get new support with the upcoming release of the Double Typhoon Advanced Deck Set.

      @@kevinski-tcgbeen playing a list that’s linked in with Leopardmon to provide a suitable board presence and blocker for mitigation, making use of the Wendigomon side a bit more, then additional usage of Bt13 Examon ( now with Imperial Ace being legal, Jogress becomes an actual option to then run the older ex03 Exa, but both have their benefits to being ran). Then making using of Taiga to double buff the board and to give further evo reductions on your climbs

      Hey glad you're keen to try it out. I did love what they laid out for Leomon in EX5, but I wasn't sold on the deck as-is. But smashing the two builds together gives them both some real depth.
      And HeavyLeomon is such an absolute unit that it's been popping up in generic black de-digivolution decks, so you know this card is legit and will stick around for a while.

      @@kevinski-tcg True true. I feel like the Dinosaur support is all over the place. If there was a better Red/Green Lv5 that could connect the Tyranno and Saur stuff, that would help a lot.

    So not me but on the discord of project drasil, a player was tinkering with alliance a lot to the point of experimenting with mother alliance, the funny meme strat. He later developed a unique boss monster line up of the Three Great Angels sorta, BT14 Seraph, EX4 Yellow Cherub, and Falldown Mode (the one that isn’t an 3 great angels). • @kevinski-tcg
      @kevinski-tcg  Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@Kamikazepirates1 I'm curious to see if that does it. Honestly, Examon falling off has always been a huge surprise to me because of how much it dominates the board.
      The question is gonna be whether a ten memory investment will be worth it. You slam the Groundramon for 7 and then warp into Wingdramon for 3. Your opponent will have a lot of room to respond to the Examon.
      But, like my boy Machinedramon, if you catch them at the right time with that big play, there's probably no coming back from it.
      I'm hoping Examon himself dips in price just a bit more, because I'd love to attempt something without his main lines someday...

    • @Kamikazepirates1
      @Kamikazepirates1 Před 8 měsíci +2

      @@kevinski-tcg I still play it at my locals and online, and I have a fairly good win rate. However, there are decks in the format that can catch it out. I've added a 2x Sourai and an Ice Wall and relies on its pace. In my proxy games, I found the great thing about promo Dracomon is when you evolve to a level 4 (often not passing your turn as its for 2), you get the warp for free. So it does reduce it, and usually allows for turn 1/2 Exa which is going to help. Question is - what else is out there?
      I've tested the Imperial Ace, the training boosts, kaiser nails, Ken and Davis tamers - and I find this meta pace is key. Anyways, that's my ted talk haha

      @kevinski-tcg  Před 8 měsíci

      Yeah, it's still pretty accessible since you can Alliance turbo into it and then climb one step further into HeavyLeomon. You'll need to sacrifice some Level 5 slots, but with the G-P line, that's probably okay.

      Hmm, Gran Del Sol is a nice security bomb to replace Heaven's Judgment. And as for X-Antibody, I think it's best to just play more of the regular Leopardmon. You'll only get one extra use out of HeavyLeomon, but on the other hand, you can still climb to Leopardmon X easily enough.

    • @kevinski-tcg
      @kevinski-tcg  Před 7 měsíci

      Yeah, that card is lowkey a sleeper. People just realized that it can basically solo the Anubismon matchup.
      The synergy with Machinedramon's support is also bonkers, but I do find the Blitz/Rush option to be a bit janky since you need to tuck X-Antibody to give it the source needed for the attack.
      Still, people keep experimenting, and I've seen some cool HeavyLeomon De-Digivolution Control Lists.

    • @Zubagon
      @Zubagon Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@kevinski-tcgDoesn't Heavy Assault give all your Lv6s Rush, and then the sources are required for Blitz? So you could have HeavyLeo with a stack get deleted, played, and then he just HAS Rush. No extra sources required.
      Now, putting X-Anitbody or Zubamon underneath would let you replay him AGAIN with Rush, but honestly a 0-Cost Option to get potentially 2 extra attacks off (or more if you can source him up) with little to no setup doesn't seem super janky to me. But that's just me.
