May 2924 More than just a layout tour visited Bob O"Neal's amazing HO display layout of his hometown of Homestead, PA. featuring US Steel's Iron Mill. The layout is a dedication to Bob's steelworker family of 3 generations. While functional is was never intended to run as a typical model layout. Bob stated the project in 2001 with the goal to have it ready for the 2004 MNRA convention in Seattle which he did. All the motive power is DCC using Lenz system components. Bob recounting the history of the town and mill was wonderfully presented to the group attending. We could have spent more than out 2 hour visit. Thanks Bob.
