- We sew easy, but very stylish patchwork blocks from just two colors of fabric.
Dive into this straightforward yet captivating patchwork design. Perfect for quilts, table runners.
We cut 9 + 9 squares 4-1/2 inches of contrasting colors.
Trim the half square triangles to 2-1/2 inches.
Strips 2-1/2 inches wide in contrasting colors.
We cut the 6 strips, each 10 inches long
2 strips, each 8 inches long
2 strips, each 5 inches long
2 strips, each 2 inches long
The size of the finished table runner is 40 inches* 14 inches.

❤❤ An elegant table runner. Think I’ll make a two-sided one instead of just putting the usual backing of one overall fabric. This would be pretty in holiday/seasonal colors such as Christmas on the front, Easter on the back. Thank you for sharing. Your video was well-filmed. The overhead filming with close-ups plus the cutting/sewing dimensions gave us all what we needed to know. No words necessary and THANK YOU FOR NO MUSIC-at least during the demonstrations. This is a great beginner project for those diving into quilting. I’ve been quilting for over 40 years and still get inspiration from videos like this one. 😊

On cutting the triangles, I use the Clearly Perfect Slotted Trimmer. That way I cut, trim off tabs, AND square up all in one step. It works great for me 🎉❤
