  • This short video addresses physical rehabilitation of Iliotibial band syndrome (or runner's knee). This may involves leg structures including the Tensor Fascia Latae, the Gluteal muscles, knee ligaments and tendons and other associated leg structures.
    We explain the nature and causes of the condition and then guide you through a series of rehabilitation exercises. There exercises are intended to help reduce pain and other symptoms and also to help you in the long-term to make a better recovery
    The exercises are divided into two categories. Those that strengthen the affected muscles and those that help to stretch or mobilise joints, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Where appropriate we also include exercises that help to address posture, balance, and coordination.     The exercises are intended to facilitate in the rehabilitation of a condition following treatments such as Osteopathy, Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic procedures and for post-operative recovery.
