  • President Xi Jinping toured Shanghai's tech hub, Zhangjiang, where he watched a demonstration of the GR-1, a general-purpose humanoid robot developed by Chinese startup Fourier Intelligence, during his recent inspection in the city last month.
    Weighing 55 kilograms, standing at 1.65 meters, and equipped with 40 joints, GR-1 showcases a top walking speed of 5 km/h and a 50-kilogram load-bearing capacity, positioning itself as a leader in the domestic industry.
    Gu Jie, Fourier Intelligence's CEO, emphasized the significance of the robot's lower limbs, showcasing multiple degrees of movement in the hip and knee joints, along with nimble upper limb design of seven joints.
    The company hopes the AI-backed robot can be adapted to various scenarios, with potential applications in rehabilitation and beyond. In terms of cost-efficiency for commercial mass production, GR-1, surpasses hydraulic rivals. The company aims for mass production of 500 to 1000 humanoid robots next year.

    General purpose robots are the way to go, because they will be able to do just about any task you give it. These robots if used correctly can free humanity, end poverty, end wars/conflicts, and more.

    • @mudshovel289
      @mudshovel289 Před 6 měsíci +2

      End poverty? How do you figure that? They’ll actually eliminate a lot of jobs. And whoever owns them will charge money for them to be used. Obviously. Even if it’s the government and they don’t want to make a profit, you think machines won’t need replacement parts? Where does that money come from? See, you didn’t think about any of this.

    • @juki0h391
      @juki0h391 Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@mudshovel289 I'm not saying these robots should replace all jobs, but where they can they must. A tax can be collected from the labor of these robots and then be redistributed though a Universal Basic Income. Just enough money where you aren't starving to death or anything like that. If you want more, then you will have to work. Our whole entire economic, political and social system will have to change with new technologies emerging in the future. It really depends on the government, will the leaders want this change or not. So, not all countries will probably be on board with this. I don't see the US being on board with this, because the elite class likes the way things are. China though I can see this happening, along with other countries. Everything is privatized in the US, so these companies or rather capitalists won't willingly go along with this, because they only care about one thing profit, they would not share their bounty with others. China on the other hand, the CPC is God and can do whatever it wants, so if they tell companies you are doing this, they have to obey. If more countries get on board with this, then the US may be forced to change over time, as well. It's like when China wanted to be communist in the very beginning of 1949, but they realized later they couldn't do this because the rest of the world was capitalist. So, they had to change and adapt to what the world was. So will the US if countries jump on board with the idea of robots. I'm not a expert on this subject, but I do know that technology has made people's lives better. Your average person today lives better than Kings did hundreds of years ago. Your average person maybe 100 years from now will live better than a billionaire today, who knows.

    °•°• I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. But be careful of AI, for it is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart (which comes from obeying God's Word). Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died physically) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures and last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, true love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as patience and faith (in the finished work of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, rather than in what man has done such as science, technology and organizations which won't last forever). To avoid sin and error which leads to the death of our body and also our spirit in hell fire, we should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God will let us face AI on our own and it will cast the truth down to the ground, it will be the cause of so much destruction like never seen before, it will deceive many and take many captive in order to enslave them into worshipping it and abiding in lawlessness. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is taken from the book of John 5:31-44, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. Let us watch and pray... God bless you as you share this message to others.

      That was FAR too much to bother reading.
      But if I get the gist of it (based on the first two lines) your explanation for everything is that ‘magic’ did it.
      No, god is not real and if jesus ever even DID exist, then he was an illiterate loony who was executed for sedition.
      So magic sky people and criminals are what we should put our faith in?
      Nope, I will trust in science, technology and humanity to deliver a utopian future and potentially - ETERNAL LIFE.
      All that superstitious nonsense has been holding us back for far too long.
