  • Hello guys and welcome once again to a new video.
I saw a huge interest in the past period for my videos regarding coffee machines. I assume this is because a lot of us are using more and more our machines in this period and eventually they break down.
That’s why I thought it will be a cool idea to share my repair experience and show you the most common Dolce gusto machines defects and how to fix them.

Are you referint to the Box looking capacitor? If yes, you have to open your machine and see the exact value. It is usually between 220 and 600 nF.

    Thanks man! Great work.
When my Dolce Gusto was blinking red, I read on the web that un-powering the machine and powering it up again would work. And it did.
When we think about descaling a Philips Senseo, it is absolutely wrong to use vinegar. This will damage the rubber and pipes.
Only use the prescribed descaler liquid.

I have the old KP160 model. I’ve followed everything recommended with unblocking with the pin but it just won’t work. It makes noise like it’s trying to pump but doesn’t take any water from the tank or pump anything out. Totally bricked. Then it flashes the descaling warning.
I read somewhere that it could be the solonoid valve that’s preventing this. But I just can’t find any replacements for such an old model 😞 let alone any that are cheap.

    • @droneboxjg
      @droneboxjg Před rokem

Had the same problem. It's due to a build-up of coffee grains and dried milk in the head just behind where the pod tray slides in. This stops the tray seating properly, which then stops the lever going down when the tray is in. Unplug the device, remove the water reservoir and then clean out the gunk with a damp dishcloth - mind you don't prick yourself on the needle! After a couple of cleans, insert/removal/re-insert of the pod tray you should find that the lever starts to drop properly again.

It seems on settings of 3+ (delonghi piccolo), that happens more. If the coffee is shorter, it will probably be okay.

Hi Adrian! I have a Dolce Gusto machine that I forgot about. It has been sitting unused for years. I took out the filter and cleaned it, the hole was just a little bit dirty. The motor is working (I can hear it) but no water is running through the machine. What else can I do? I tried to hold the start button but it never turned yellow. Please help!

I thing you have an air lock in the pump. Fill the water tank all the way to full. Remove the diffuser an let the unit run for 1 minute than stop it let it 2 minutes sit for the pump to cool down. Than try again untill the water will come thru. Add vinegar in the water for discaling.

You have an air lock. Fill the tank at full pull the lever to hot or cold water. Let it do that for half a minute. Then repeat. Eventually the water will flow.

Hello, I have a dolce gusto esperta 2. I went to use my machine after 6 months and the light turns green, but there is no pumping sound and no water comes out when I press either hot or cold button to brew. It seems like the pump does not work at all. I owned my machine for 5 years and have never descaled it. Is it too late to descale?

I have an Esperta 2 where the pump doesn't make the normal sound anymore. It has a buzzing noise and water is barely dripping. I think it ran out of water while someone was trying to make a coffee. I tried everything but it just keeps buzzing on both hot and cold brew options. Any ideas? Or is it time for a new one? They are very expensive and hard to find in the United States since they've been discontinued years ago and the 110v models are rare. Thanks.
    P.S. I also speak Romanian.

Salut Adi. I will answer in english maybe this will be useful for others. Based on your described simptomes i presume is the pump spring got broken. I don't have a video on it because I do not have a unit with this fault to do it. Search on YT for pump repair and if I remember correctly there was one showing exactly this. It is a easy fix if you manage to remove the pump from the machine. Mult noroc!

I have a Dolce Gusto device. The model is type 455T. The SKU is
5513290351/12819-S900202. The issue that I am having is that when I try to brew anything, the machine sounds as if it is trying to work, however after a few moments it stops and the power button begins to flash red and green along with the bar display flashing green as well. This occurs whether I try to brew hot or cold items. I have made sure that the water tank was full. I have used the cleaning needle to clean the injector. I do not know what else could be the issue. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your anticipated support with this. Have a great day.

Hi. Red and green means no water is reaching the pump. Therefore you have either a air pocket of the pump is not making vacum. Ope. The unit and force some water into the hose before the pump. You may jump start it.

If I hold it to one side, it will make a coffee.
I’ve tried everything to fit it, except for descaling. I need to buy the descaling product/solution.
It that the reason why the lever won’t stay to either hot or cold.?
I haven’t used the machine for a while and I haven’t used it often, maybe made 20 coffees so far.
    Can anyone recommend a solution.
