i got a single prong inzer belt for 4 bucks at a garage sale and its in mint condition. im inlove with it :)
nice!
you lucky piece of shit
I bought mine in 1999 I believe, same color. For me, the best advantages are 1) it is really easy to get a tight fit and 2) you can flip the lever between sets to get your breath. Overall, you get an extremely tight fit and you don't spend all day reefing on the tag end of a normal belt.
I broke the lever this year and for a few bucks shipping, Inzer sent me a new lever and screws. Great service on a 14 year old product.
After all of these years, it hasn't lost any stiffness or effectiveness, they really are a lifetime product.
Agreed! I see people struggle with prongs to get tight enough (usually have to have another person help), not to mention the pain of getting it off again.
Thanks man! It's really great that you reply to all the questions you get. You're very helpful and I am grateful for your time!
They wait till the dragons are at least 15 years old before they harvest the leather to make sure its the right thickness. Inzer dragons for 10 mm. For 13 mm belts they have to hunt the rare Terror Blight dragons. Ben Rice the Weight Wizard plays a big part in tracking them down.
You don't hunt ben rice, he hunts you.
Thanks Brandon! I've reallly been considering this belt. This was a big help when I get the extra cash I'm getting the royal blue as well!
Brandon, I am glad I came upon your channel! You are awesome and I REALLY love all your lifting videos. All the motivation one needs to get pushing the weights! Keep up the excellent work.
Great review Brandon! A lot more thorough than most, and a real in depth look at your personal experience with it, really enjoyed the video! Absolutely advocate 13mm Lever.
I got the same one Brandon. I've used it for about 6 weeks and it's getting more comfortable. It is very secure! Awesome video!
I've been looking to get one these belts. Thanks for the review Brandon.
Just got my LIME GREEN Inzer in the mail today! Only took 6 days. Thanks for the review!
Hey Brandon!
I heard from other channels that the 10mm is preferred for competitive power lifters because that's the size allowed in competition.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
I love what you did with the intro!
Your reviews are always helpful. Thanks man.!
Excellent review, you cover all of the important things about this belt.
Hi Brandon, thanks for the response. Not the prongs into the belt, but on the other side where the metal contacts metal when I close the belt. It just would not catch or lock into place... Not sure if it needs to be broken in
My inzer belt is on the way! Can't wait. Great videos by the way, keep it up.
I just bought my belt and I am so excited. I also got the Royal Blue. Such a awesome look it has. Brandon Campbell should be start wearing belt when when squat above out body. I'd like to hear your opinion on this matter.
I'm 6'4" 220 with a similar waist. I went with the medium and it's been perfect for me.
It's worth it's weight in GOLD....love mine!!! Nice review...Keep up the good work B!!!
haha I like how you casually added that "that's what she said" joke
Thank you, was debating on a good belt to buy. You sold me on this one
It's solid, but I prefer Pioneer these days.
this was really helpful! Thank you Brandon.
Ahh finally thks! I'm glad its a possitive review im suposed to get mine this week ! Thank you
Well done on the review. This purchase and the rehbands are musts in any repertoire
Josh just bought me an inzer! I love it soooo much, my new babyyyy. I got stuck when I first tried on my belt lol. Good review Brandon!
Awesome Brandon, I'm really considering investing in one now, seems like the belt of a lifetime!
Very helpful! Thanks again Brandon!
This belt is helpful when working with heavy loads. Progressive overload means continuing to up the weight ;)
This is a medium and I've since moved in several notches. Perfect size for me.
Love the review man!! I have a 10mm in red and have loved it to far!
Great review! Helped me a lot when purchasing my inzer :)
Glad to hear!
Just put an Inzer on order earlier today. I know the only thing that is for sure to break one in is wear/time, but when I always got a new baseball glove growing up, it would help to speed up the breaking in process if you baked it in the oven. Do you have any thoughts on this with the belt? Btw your vids are always helpful and keep me entertained.
Hey Brandon I just ordered the lever from Inzer. I ordered black so I'm hoping for somewhat speedy delivery. Did you find that you had to follow up with the company and call them to confirm that your order was being processed? thanks
Just bought the Inzer 13mm black from House of Pain. I really wanted the Navy Blue bit didn't want to way 6 weeks or however long! Got 2nd Day Air for a Total of $118.00, can't wait to get it.
I bought a 10mm Inzer Lever belt a few months ago. For some reason it kills my lower ribs when I squat with it. I have to wear two shirts because it rubs right on top of my hip bone and again my lower ribs. I can't even use it for dead lifting. I end up using my old flimsy belt when I do deads because it restricts my flexibility too much and I can't get into proper position. Did you have any growing pains when breaking in the belt? I'm just wondering if eventually I'll get used to it.
Hmm, it should seat pretty well, although clasping/unclasping should be pretty easy. If you put it on and close it and do some body weight squats does it open?
Hey Brandon, I'm planning on getting for Christmas and being patient with the long holiday weight. I wear 32 waist size in jeans but my stomach waist is 33. I'm thinking of going with a large. What do you think? Thanks
Just received my belt Monday and used it for the first time during deadlift day on Tuesday. I had it too tight, but it added crazy intra-abdominal pressure, which is what I use it for. Loosened it one notch for hang power cleans today. We'll see how it goes.
How did it go bro? Don't leave us hanging.
@@burekskremicem That comment from 9 years ago? 🤣🤣🤣 I have a ton of videos with that belt from back then. Go check them out. Warning--I was in just my underwear a lot back then for some reason. 😆
@@ClarksvilleBarbellClub As long as you had fun and made gains :)
@@burekskremicem You know it! 😁
Thanks for watching dude!
Dude, I was just filling out a comment on how I ordered on immediately after I hit 315 last week. My $30 sports authority, velco belt ain't doing shit for over 300lbs. Good luck on the lift!
so you recommend taking time off training if we develop lower back pain that doesn't go away after a few days? should people with low back pain start using belts?
Hey Brandon have you checked out the Inzer PR belt? Its just like yours except you can adjust the tightness of the belt anytime you want. I think it goes for 140 dollars on their website.
I saw the title, looking forward to watching it!
Hey Brandon, love your stuff. I'm on Inzer's website looking at their fitting guide and there's nothing listed for measuring for the belts. What size did you end up going with? I'm 6'4", 210 and wear a 33-34 waist jeans. By that, I'm not sure whether to go with their medium (30-33") or large (34-38")
Have you tried the regular 9mm power lifting belts that typically go for about 70 dollars? If so is there a huge difference between that and this belt?
Right on, good choice!
Hey Brandon i was thinking of buying one with the lever but i am in between sizes. Medium is 30-33 but are there more holes than whatnit states in the website?
Nice Jason. What is the proper placement of weight belt on waist for maximum support? I feel like I put mine either to low our to high. What do u use as a guide?
Brandon Campbell Do you order a size a bit bigger than your actual waist size for more notches/ and or room to play with?
lately my back has been sore for doing 250lb deadlifts im thinking of investing one of these. Should i do it?
Thanks for the review Brandon. Im using a belt from Rogue Fitness, considering the Inzer belt but haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.
Thanks for risking your furniture by the way; what a nice table, must be made out of honduras mahogany ;)
brandon, you said you're a size 34 in pants which I am also, I plan on buying mines soon, so should I get a large or medium?I dont plan on bulking either or getting huge but stay lean. Also should i base it on the measurement of my waist or stomach region? thanks
Since im going to be joining a gym membership the only.time i should wear one of these is when im doing 1 rep maxes ? Cause honestly in going into the gym as a rookie and work my way up the weights for size and strength, im thinking of doing what Omarisuf showed where you.do.strength then size training
appreciate the kind words!
I will be participating in my first powerlifting meet this Fall.
Do you recommend the tapered belt over the non-tapered one?
Glad you like it! Wish I got mine sooner.
Whats the best position to put your belt on? i always wonder if im putting it in the correct position,
Great vid, was thinking about getting one of these
Love this belt, well worth the weight, got one b/c of your earlier video.
Awesome review, I need to get down with inzer ASAP
Hi Brandon, I just got the inzer 13mm belt, however, the buckle would NOT lock into place... everytime I put a little bit of pressure on it will open.... Any suggestions?
I've had my 10mm Inzer for 6 years now, and it's still in excellent condition. The downsides to the lever buckle is the metal of the lever is poorly finished with rough and sharp edges. Also, adjusting the size requires unscrewing 2 screws, which takes about 2 minutes.
appreciate the response.
you can buy the Pioneer PAL 2.0 adjustable lever and fit it to your Inzer belt.
Hey Brandon, would a different brand/company of lever belts be any good compared to inzer? I'm from Australia and the shipping alone for the Inzer belt is $120! I'm not that sure if its really worth to pay for that kind of shipping. I'm most likely going to get the australian brand lever belts as it would be cheaper. Just asking for your opinion thanks!
Trungabunga I think part of it is you're paying for a brand. I've seen similar 10mm or 13mm belts sell for around half the price and be just as nice. Although I must say I have no regrets with my purchase.
how many holes does it say there are on the site? I was in between sizes too and went with the smaller size.
Glad you like it!
When would you recommend someone start using a belt? I'm currently doing Wendler 5/3/1 but not using a belt.
Are you talking about the lever mechanism or the prongs that attach to the belt?
Thanks Steve!
Heavy to you and heavy to me is completely different so should i even wear a belt? or just keep training and increasing the weight till my weight numbers get up there?
Just ordered a purple one and a maroon/silver one!! I am so excited :)
awesome!
Does Inzer notify you when they ship your belt? It's almost been a week since I ordered mine.
Thanks for the review sir.
Beast, looking forward to it making appearances in your videos.
Thanks for the review Brandon! My brother and I just ordered ourselves one! (:
Great investment!
I just got the same belt (from another brand) but the problem I got is when I go low the bottom and top of the belt are irritating my hip and ribs (bones)
Is that normal in the beginning or am I just to small for such a high belt (I'm 5 foot 5, 5 foot 6)
How do I decide if I should get small or x-small? I'm reverse dieting now, but want it to fit when I'm leaning down too.
I find this one to be perfect for me and I've moved it in some notches since. These should be worn pretty tight.
Great video quality mate, top stuff oh and good review ;)
I got mine in a week! Seems like once they charge you, it will be shipped by then. Consider it that I got the black so it came pretty fast! This belt is awesome too, lol I didn't have problem taking it out etc. it's pretty comfortable.
Nice!!
Appreciate you commenting Josh, it's the least I can do.
Is the outside of the belt suede? You think this will get dirty if I get a lighter color??
So i just got my lever belt and i have been breaking it in the past 2 days. I got the 13 mm. I haven't lifted with it yet because when i latch the belt shut
It doesn't quite latch all the way. I don't think its the lever because the lever latches all the way down by its self when i don't have it hooked to the other side of the belt. do i need to break it in more?
Brandon Stephens does the belt not stay closed?
got exact same belt love it!!
Glad you think so!
Red, white, and blue. Couldn't resist.
I used to have one of those back in the day!
Sounds solid!
You're going to love the wrist straps when you get em
How does this fit on you ? I have a waist size of about 29 so idk whether I should go with medium or small.
Brandon, I have a question. My lever would not lock. I've noticed in your video that you can lock the lever, but then it spring back out after you dropped it. Is that normal?
There's no spring in mine
Hey Brandon, what do you say to people who say you should never wear a belt because it inhibits your core strength development (by acting as a crutch)?
For instance, Scott Herman just recently did a 505lb deadlift raw and said that no one should ever use a belt and should instead simply build their "internal weight belt". Also, I have seen a few people talking about doing stomach vacuums in order to build the core to the point where you don't need a belt.
Your thoughts?
~Khaleef
Inzer's site says to allow up to 6 weeks, if they have to assemble/make the item before they send it to you. When I ordered mine, I got it in black, and that was the only one they had in stock. If you ordered a different color, that may be the reason it took so long, as they still had to make it before sending it out :P
Sup Brandon haven't watched your vid in 3+ months!! I was curious, what's your fitness Goal? Like main goal To get ripped, strength or BB physique?
I usually do the same with all my equipment. Start on the cheaper end and upgrade over time.
Do the holes go to the exact measurements said on the website? Because the holes look more widespread than the measurements say. Is xsmall good for a 24-25 inch waist at the smallest part?
+Rika Rr I haven't measured to be honest.
I've only tried with bodyweight squats and it pops right open, very strange. Is it supposed to "lock" into place even when I dont wear it? Because it wont for me.
I saw that. I don't adjust my belt as is (some like different fits for DL or squats).
Where do you recommend wearing your belt? Over the belly button? Smallest part of your waist? I just received my belt a couple days ago and it hurts while I'm using it,does that go away eventually when its broken in? Thanks!!
I'd suggest trying it different locations to see where it's most comfortable. I wear mine right around my lower waist. Some take a while to break in.
I don't suggest using these as a way to bypass issues, I'd see if it's form related first!
Just going to be tough at first like I mentioned, just working them in and out will help!
I find I have a good amount of room. You have to remember that these belts are meant to be quite tight as is. However if you're concerned your waist gets bigger when bulking, a larger size might be more desirable.
