About 4 years back, I was at a restaurant with my family enjoying dinner. After the dinner was done, while leaving, we met Ranbir Kapoor at the door. He was just entering the restaurant. My sister recognised him and took his name which turned his head towards us. My father appreciated his acting skills and said he was a fan of his work. Ranbir stood patiently at the door smiling and replying to our questions. I could not believe that he was giving us a mini interview. Such a big star. Just after 2-3 minutes of interaction about him, his father's movies and about the restaurant, he said Jai Shree Krishna to us and wished us well. We responded. I was just taken aback by the guy's down to earth nature.

My friend’s sister was returning from New York with her year old son. It was a direct flight and a long and tedious one at that, plus with a crying baby, she was hassled by the time they landed in Mumbai. At the baggage conveyor, people were jostling and she was finding it extremely hard to handle a toddler and look for her bag when she felt a tap on her shoulder. A young man had brought her a trolley and asked her if she could spot her bag on the conveyor, he’d unload it and put it on the trolley for her. After doing that for her, she realised that that young man was Ranbir Kapoor. She asked him for a picture, he happily obliged by holding her baby in his arm and putting the other arm around her. What a man, RK!

Ranbir is an amazing actor and works extremely hard for his role and this is visible if you see his movies. Yes, he got into the industry from nepotism, but you can't deny that he is pure talent. One thing that he's successfully managed is keeping the mystique of stardom alive. Whether it's being absent on social media, rarely making appearances in front of the electronic media, or being evasive in general in the public eye. Which is no mean feat in a time when stars have made themselves so accessible to the public with a 24*7 social media presence and PR overkills. To not hog the limelight constantly and still keep yourself so relevant and interesting is really nothing short of great. In a way his style of stardom is anachronistic. It belongs to the golden era of Hindi cinema, the 50s, 60s and 70s to be precise.

It's because his past, and his relationship with katrina kaif. His family didn't give any prove to Ranbir and Katrina. Ppl hating him, cause he seem didn't have any effort to their relationship. When he was young he also cheated on Deepika padukone for Katrina kaif. But that's all was past. Now He's so mature and manner. I love him as he is.

He did this interview not for promoting any film but for his followers because he is not on social media👍 ... Thats why he is such a great actor 👌

Jagga Jasoos was admirable. Sadly it didn’t work out with the audience at large. But hopefully these two will work.

This guy is superstar... i was sleeping and found out is video came .. i woke up and listened to him every single word. Cuz he means something to me. Thanks Rajeev for bringing him. We miss him so much. I can watch his movies on loop. If i don’t listen his songs his songs in a day i cant sleep.
Its not a loss of Ranbir but its loss of Bollywood if his movies are not coming frequently. He is gem ❤️

Probably the only actor who accepts he is privileged.. makes him so real & natural. So many actors/actresses needs to learn this.

Wonderful interview. Am not a fan of Ranbir, but he comes across as aware of his privileges and passionate about cinema. He is one of few actors whose interviews I watch from beginning to end , without cringing. Thanks Rajeev for this one

I think even if he doesn't talk about it, the audience will jeer him. Some people come and change the scenario unnecessarily overnight. Most comments address Kapoor Jr as a deserving nepo kid. Gone are days when we used to look at him as the worthy successor of his star family. While star kids always had a following, it was those that knew to win the masses that made it. It's the same thing even today but the current generation is so brainwashed that they cannot have a conversation without nepotism and poor SSR's death. Why don't these people go and act or carry out the investigation themselves?

Tbh I was not a Ranbir fan until I saw Rockstar this year... I did a complete 180 from not liking Ranbir to becoming his fan after watching Rockstar....And I admit it..... He has that "Star" essence in him which is very rare to be seen in actors nowadays... They may be good actors but they ain't star material....I am much awaited for Brahmastra.

He really looks so good now! He is happy now! He used to look too tired and lifeless.. barely smiling ....maybe it was because his father wasn't well. I can see the charm coming back! RK is gonna come back soooo strong! ❤️ I hope he takes his position back #1 wins lots and lots of awards! 🌼 ILY RK 🥺🌸
