The story behind: In this Alt Universe, the Champions are Guardians selected by destiny, for thier courage, to protect the galaxies. There are a lot of teams of Star Guardians (one lead by Lux, one by Ahri etc.) When you are chosen for this, you receive incredible power and magic in order to keep the balance.
As it goes, Zoe decided to use that power in her own interest and spread chaos in the world. Turning against her teammates, Zoe KILLED Xayah and Rakan and then used her magic to corrupt them and turn them against the others. Tho apparently Rakan wasn’t completey lost, but he decided to stay by his love to protect her and wait for the right moment to make a move. (As you can see, every time Rakan tries to stop the corruption in Xayah, he loses a bit more of himself). On the other hand, Xayah turned against her old friends and blamed them for letting her die.
Neeko was in team with them, but managed to escape Zoe through her camouflage. At this point she tries to help her friends.
The thing is they didn’t give us many info about previous lores. Most of them were more like “but what if?”. Now they focused more on creating stories and videos on them. Star Guardian is one that received a lot of art work. You can also check Odyssey (on youtube, another lore with video-where champions are space travellers) or K/DA (this has videos, stories, even facts and interview made like a magazine-where champions are pop stars).
but the real twist is that none of them read the star guardian contract to the end and the first star is just using them in order to reverse entropy by harvesting their emotional trauma.

@@igobykit7398 He did´t survived, he died in the first fight against Zoe, then Xayah died too and Neeko was left there due to being too weak, Ahri had to flee with Miss Fortune and Zoe brought back to life Xayah and Rakan and uses Xayahs anger and resentment to keep her under her leash, meanwhile Rakan didn´t summit to the darkness but decided to stay for Xayah, hence why he is there. As of how the story goes now, he es presumed dead after sacrificing himself to cure Xayahs curse and save the city of Valoran. We now have to wait for the next part of the storie :3

Xayah and Rakan deserve better, they are literally one of the best pairs in all of League. Rakan deserves better overall, he’s so amazing to Xayah. Xayah love the man damnit.

I’m sure there’s some sort of musical science that better explains why it feels that way, but that’s the part that gets me to tear up the most out of the video. It feels powerful despite the situation; Neeko’s desperate attempt to use the last bit of her power to shatter Zoe’s corrupted labryinth is something to be noted!

I love xayah and rakan's whole relationship is absolute. At first it seems she doesn't care since mid battle there is no second thought for rakan to protect her and after he does both at the begining and near the end she just pushes past to continue the battle and he follows up, she doesn't thank or acknowledge what he did cause they been together so long its just understood she's grateful. And on the opposite end when he attacks her in the confusion there's not a shred of hatred or anger at him cause she instantly understands he did it to protect what looked like her injured and just moves past to continue to fight cause its understood he's sorry and she forgave him. She is so caught up in her sadness and anger and wanting revenge on the stars nothing else matters to her and yet when rakan is in legitimate danger at the end she is able to snap out of it and go back to protect him showing how no matter how much she wants revenge it's not even close to her feelings for him and the thought of losing him over it.

Neeko still viewing Xayah and Rakan as her allies since she can shift into them, Rakan, the healer and protector of the group being the clearest in her mind when she imagines them together because though he is now trying to kill her, he once helped keep her safe, Rakan sacrificing himself to Xayah only for her to be so corrupt and lost in the darkness that she can hardly recognize it, Zoe doing all of this out of betrayal and hurt, Neeko’s face lighting up when she sees Ahri and Xayah and Rakan’s faces when they see Ahri, the person they blame for their own deaths and corruptions… THIS IS SO DRAMATIC! I am going to cry

Look Morgana had always been evil. She COULD be a guardian but i don't think it's possible but then again, she doesn't have much lore. Since Harp birthed the first nemesis who trapped her familiar causing zoe to go rampage and Gwen and syndra getting affected. However Morgana's lore does mention that she finds justice and goodness immutable. So she mightve been a part of the first star since soraka did mention...she remembered the time when the first star was a whole. And yes the statue is Morgana ... pleading for something? Chained? Blinded? She must've lost her way swearing to kill what she created. And maybe Janna knows something about it... perhaps she is one of Zoe's teammates alongside the confirmed teammates syndra and Gwen and harp(who birthed fiddlesticks after Fallin to the dark side). And don't forget the fact that where the battle took place between neeko and zoe ...it was actually a museum/ a court hall relating to some past events.
4 freaking years have been passed and this one still one of my favorite cinematic of all time.
Rakan only got corrupted because he wants to be with Xayah...
And it seems like he's draining the dark energy from Xayah to save her from the corruption until Ahri gets there...
But that's just a theory... A FilmTheory

I really like the internal conflict Rakan has. If you notice, not once did he attack neeko even when he ulted and had the chance to, it seems as if hes only 'evil' because of his loyalty to Xayah
I think zoe took control of xayah but she couldnt do it yo rakan but yet he joined them to save xayah ad try to protect neeko
I feel like Rakan is like James from Team Rocket. Not really a “bad guy” but he will protect who he cares about and I love it

@@ericksonsimeon6415 Zoe is evil for a few reasons, Its a fun dynamic between Lux and Zoe yeah but it's lost cause they don't seem at all connected. But if they gave Zoe a normal star guardian skin it would be pretty close to original Zoe in effects, making her a dark star guardian gives a nice contrast to her original look. She is also the aspect of twilight, based around change and chaos. Wherever she goes either good or bad things happen at her whim, so being a villainous sort of character works well (Plus she did rip someone's heart out with her bare hand in a flavour story too so.. yeah. Zoe nutz)
