Australia played very well and I'm happy to see that more and more teams have become competitive in international soccer. No longer are there just three or four elite teams and while I don't like to see my team lose but I am happy at the rise of women's international soccer.
The Matilda's are excellent. This was such a great game but the commentary was slightly annoying at times.

Matildas are good,improved a lot. Coach your back line is still not secure. Your defense should be like a car wiper.
Surely Gustavsson should do a Rangnick and "balance" his Anchor {= Defensive Midfield, Defenders & Goalkeeper} before unleashing the Power of Kerr via a more creative Midfield springing their Blitzkrieg counter-attack.

Can't understand why you would leave players sat on the bench instead of subbing them in at around 60 mins to give them a better chance , it's almost as if Jill wanted them to fail to get beat , she f.cked up 2017/2018 . Pathetic yes bring in younger players , but at a certain point you have to know that there not player well
oh a moron is speaking lmfao. jill has said multiple times that she doesn’t really care about friendlies like that. friendlies were where she broke new players in and built them up to where they needed to be. you can’t keep having the same old ass players doing everything when young new talent is always blossoming. if she had listened to critics like you back then, we wouldn’t have won the world cup at all. those years were the years our team finally came together and got in the grind of things. you have to experiment and not just do what’s safe because it wins. now what will you do if those players get injured, choose to retire to start a family, what would you do? can’t keep relying on the same group of people when you have a whole army who one day can and will do the same thing. you think tobin, megan, alex, carli, wambach, hamm, etc. got to where they are in their careers by coaches playing it safe? they had to be thrown in the deep end and told to swim. they had to fuck up in battles to go and win the war. 2 years later and we’ve won another world cup under her reign. jill knee what she was doing and the women had faith in her. had faith in their abilities as a team to rise to the occasion and they DID. you know NOTHING. to blatantly say like a moron that the same players should stay in the game as a safety net rather than let the others keep going until they figure it out is so ignorant. they lost 4 times this year, and jill believed in her team. in 2017 against brazil where they were just about to lose, at the 80th minute and it was 3-1, jill kept the same group in except crystal who got injured halfway through the game. she kept alyssa in even tho she fucked up twice, she kept the back and front line in even tho she could’ve switched them out for fresher legs and different strategies and because of that, they broke through in the 80th minute with christen press opening the game back up and scoring a goal. within ten minutes they care back with julie ertz scoring the game winning goal. megan rapinoe assisting in 3 and scoring one. because of those experiments, and willingness to face backlash is why they are so strong. it’s why they won the worldcup even as the whole world was against them, nitpicking every little thing they did. jill ellis did a damn good job no matter what you think and they all think the same. when she decided to retire and leave, they had nothing but kind words to say about her work ethnic unlike when pia left. jill ellis took the necessary steps. jill ellis took the road of uncertainty to get to the mountain of success. shut the hell up. you’re so ignorant.

the trio of Horan, Mewis and Long are just too fucking slow.. no push, slow push going forward... on the other hand, we get rid of these three and the USWNT has no aerial game.
