Also, the pay on the job posting was a little lower than I wanted, but i did’t mind. Anyway, today I got a call from HR giving me the official job offer! AND the base pay is higher than it said on the job post. I got my start date as well. I’m just so thrilled. I did walk away from a very toxic cycle in caregiving - people don't talk about the abuse that caregivers deal with - & I made a very firm decision during the middle of this month/Pisces season that I am DONE, because I'd been doing it for about 5 years & there was constant stress & toxic home environments with elderly individuals & caretaking arrangments, people that were very mentally & emotionally unstable.
