I got the chance to go to the Fontaine pop-up museum in New York City! It was so much fun and SO cool to see all the thought, care and attention that was put into Fontaine. If you get a chance to go, you should!

This is genuinely such a cool way to show off concept art and art assets in general.
fr, hoyo is one of the few companies that constantly shows respect and gives all their artists a spotlight!
Ooh, a 25% face reveal, wasn't expecting that!
But more importantly, I'm so jealous you got invited to this Ashikai, congrats! Everything looks so cool and I'm so glad it's coming online too, thanks for the sneak peek!! I'm mostly excited for this being a 'walk through' concept book complete with labels and how different designs developed over time. That's so cool!

Wish it had come to my country. It’s really cool to see how Fontaine was brought to life. Amazing how close to the art the in game areas look.
Kinda funny that you released this blog after I came from visiting the same exhibition here in Tokyo. For me to say I was geeking out while being there is an understatement. I'm glad I got to experience the same thing as you did! Sadly, the Tokyo one didn't have Katheryne to greet us... but I'm not complaining. 😊
After seeing the concept arts too, as a both animator and digital artist, this made me grow a new appreciation for their hard work considering they have 3 games at work and 1 more to come like wow 🤯

That's so friggin' cool. I wasn't free to go physically, so news of this coming on-line is great. Hoyo really does a lot to keep fans engaged. It's wonderful.

i went to the expo three times this week (to buy more merch & collect the cards) but its so beautiful inside and was a really lovely event!! i hope they do more things like this in the future
Smol Lyney and Lynette is something I didn't know I needed to see. Amazing.
Honorable mention is the concept of Lynette's skill where she is in her E and fully in shadow, it looks so cool!
Just went to the expo and will go back again on sunday! It was rlly interesting to look at everything up close like that especially for someone studying art and all that. I just wish they would release concept artbooks that are like this...

8:33 it's called a deskpad, yes its humongous and it covers most of your desk. I personally like it so I don't really have to move the mat too much in cases where I rearrange my set up.

have to say the art for 4.0 is so adorable. the mammels under water is the cutest thing ever. I almost hate to attack the blubber ones. I want to capture them almost if the Serenitea pot had a pool for them. Same with the rays
Big mousepad is probably a desk mat, meant for beeg gaming hours. Also useful as a playmat for various TCGs like Magic the Gathering

I think it's very cool that this game puts this much money into outside-the-game art incentive, like expositions, concerts.
I also think the good video-game music theorists of CZcams are taking too long to post about Fontaine spectacular music, maybe they're giving it a thorough analysis

Hey watched your kokomi video, didnt wana post this there, as its more about fontaine, but... i FOUND CHILDES WHALE. and kokomi apparently swims to the primordial sea in her trailer.
There is no free entrance for Tokyo but I was lucky enough to get a ticket for the last day after two rounds of ballots which was packed as well. It was really nice here too and I enjoyed it despite the crowd. 😊😊😊
