A company in America called ACE makes and excellent pineapple cider, they also make a habanero pineapple cider that is also amazing. Ill try this one day thanks for the tutorial
Congrats on the fizz! Yet another to try Opened my last two 500ml bottles from what I started at start of June (plain apple) and they were great, unlike a month ago. Seems that two months total might be a sweet spot 🙂
Oh.. I really should tried that ^^ Though, I did drink that was similar to Pineapple but other fruits in there as well. You know, you'll could add more favour on the bottle (Something form Cocktail syrups) if you want to add more Pineapple-y taste.
bit weak for you stu lol....but not bad wi sugar wot wo in the juices...always good when ya open bottle and hear that sound, av had quite a few over years that failed the fizz test ....cracking brew as always...cheers 🍺👍🏻
The smile said it all mate. Just poured the Licorice and blackcurrant down the drain fail never mind tried don’t try it lol. Well done on the fizzzzzzz
Thanks, I have a large packet of this but have avoided using it due to a few people on both home brew and distilling forums saying that the end result with this yeast often tastes 'off'. How does it compare for you taste-wise?
@@MossHomeandGarden it maybe tasted off to them people because maybe they used it in a big barrel to ferment the 23 litres it says to use it in. On the packet, ive done that before and the cider is very cloudy and yeasty so that would give it and off taste if they drank it as soon as the air lock stopped, its best to sython it into bottles then let it settle mate, or just do wat i do and use a table spoon per gallo, the last stuff i made a table spoon was too much and it was over flowing through the air lock 😬 so maybe try just a tea spoon depending on the starting gravity lol
@@TheDrunkCook111 OK, the next turbo I put on (probably not for at least a month) I'll open the also-tec yeast and give it a try...if I don't like it, it will go into my bread making kit! Cheers!!
I suggest you degass the cider before bottling it. The fermentation gases trapped in the cider don't taste too good. I suspect doing this extra step would improve your ciders. I have not tried pinnaple cider yet, might be something I should add to the list of things to do ;)
Hi Calendyr, thanks for the suggestion. Firstly, how would I go about degassing? Secondly, would this mean that my bottled cider would be flat? Thirdly, the pineapple cider isn’t my favourite flavour, with hindsight I’ll probably not make it again, but I’m interested to know the answers to my first and second questions (I’m still learning the ways). Thanks.
@@MossHomeandGarden The way I degass is to rake the wine to a pitcher and use brewer"s spoon to stir the wine/cider/mead for about 5 minutes. That will remove the vast majority of the trapped gases. You can always carbonate again in the bottle like you did in your video.
Little life hack for u if u dont already know mate if u get a knife and put a hole in the bottom of ur apple juice or what ever it is it comes out loads fast not that it matters 😂😂

@@aaronweyl2272 Pineapple, it can make some strong and odd flavours unfortunately.
@@MossHomeandGarden Pineapple?
I thought Pineapple Cider were tasty.
@@aaronweyl2272 It can go either way.
Try alcho-tech turbo yeast, u can add a table spoon to a gallon and it finishes in 2-3 days
