We're all here for the same reason. This song is good, but it's not just that. It means something deeper to us because of the people who left us. It's the most saddening feeling. Mine left about 10 months ago from today, October 2nd 2021. It just sucks so much. We might die never having made up with that person. I want everyone in here to know that right now, if you're here for that reason, I love you because you're hurt. This song really channels that feeling so well, maybe too well. I hope we all have great lives from here on out.
I really needed to read that thank you so much. I am in such a weird emotional state right now after the shit that just happened and it really helps when random people remind you that others have been through the same and care. I love you too man
Thank you friend it’s comforting to know that people can still care even though we’re perfect strangers. God bless you hope to see you wondering the wastes one day 👍🏽
I started playing 76 around the time. One of my friends I have known for years had a falling out with, so every time this song played it just hit different.
Started playing this game a few days ago, I had just gotten out of a toxic friendship with someone who gas lit the shit out of me, manipulated me, love bombed me, and somehow took the little self esteem I had, and left me in a state of complete emotional distress. When this song came on for the first time I fucking lost it and fell to the ground sobbing. Sometimes you just need a good cry and this song is a masterpiece for that reason. Shit hits completely different.
@shuswjdndnfnfbfnfvegeheg1930 Man, I'm so sorry. Some people in this world can just be complete assholes. I played Fallout 76 again after a breakup and was hooked on it for a while. Okay so since I've seen noone say this.. This song makes me just straight up cry . It's the rising and falling of the melody . Almost like the listener is hopeless, On this inevitable path to becoming old and dying a sad and lonely death. With this are the good and bad memories , all of which are gone to time in the end. Just like a person passing into and out of our lives (like the song talks about) , our memories fade into and out of existence as you age into the inescapably tight grip death holds on everyone of us..
I went through exactly what this songs story tells, listening to it is like reviewing my memories of my breakup a few months back. But Henry Kings vocals are very soothing to me, so i’m conflicted haha
Always found myself being at ease in the game and working on my camp during this song. For some reason it always shows up when I worked on it. So this song in a sense. Reminds me of home c:
I think this song is meant to represent the Vault 76 dwellers. The "You Will Emerge" videos emphasized the threat dwellers would face from fellow emerged dwellers in the Wasteland (almost every video features former dwellers fighting and killing other dwellers.) Bethesda counted on PVP being a bigger aspect of the game, and I think were surprised by the amount of pushback it got upon being announced, and a year after it's announcement and release, Todd expressed surprise that players were generally helpful and friendly towards one another. So, this song is supposed to represent what they thought it would be like-people leaving Vault 76 as friends and family, only to turn against each other, start looking out for themselves, and start fighting and killing each other once they were faced with the harsh realities of the post-nuclear wasteland.
Griefing was more prevalent in the early months. I even got griefed a few times. Nowadays more than not I try my best to help other wastelanders, from giving some supplies, to building whole sets of power armor for.
@@no-fd6mt PvP in Fallout was a bad idea, period. The setting may lend itself to it, but the mentality of its' fans does not. Fallout is about exploring and going on quests, not seeing who has the most broken legendary. If you didn't have to opt in to PvP, it would be unplayable.
tbh I wouldnt even say Fallout 76 is a bad game, i just think the story is slow to progress and tends to relapse a bit, but its an online multiplayer story game, so i can understand why.
