John Heisz - I Build It I’ve been looking forward to this build! Thanks for putting this together. Outstanding design and video as always!
Mr. Heisz, This is a fantastic build. I have your plans for the router lift and when I built it to your spec, it was awesome. I see the motor for your saw is belt driven. What if I am using the motor off of another saw? Would it be able to be added with your current spec or would it need modification?
yeaah, i agree
What happened to the old delta you had a while ago and planned going to fix up?
Can a repurposed circular saw be used with this system?
I'm learning so much about the anatomy of a table saw from this! So good!!
I have five table saws, I use four of them nearly every day. Watching John is a definite pleasure, now after seeing this I am tempted to build another table saw just to see if I can. The precision required and the detailed planning in his very instructional videos is to be admired. I am 75 and been working wood for over 60 of those years so I can say sawdust is probably in my blood, thank you John for the enjoyment of your videos.
I always enjoy following your approach to projects like this, John. Where many other woodworkers may struggle to make progress without a CNC. ;-) Looking forward to the next instalment.
This is easily my favorite build of yours! Awesome design.
I have never seen anything done like this before so I am learning loads of stuff... it's like you have been preparing us for this project. It is wonderful, thank you.
I understand the 4 years planning phase. You've obviously put a lot of thought into this saw design. Great video.
17 minutes of perfect woodworking !!!
I am beside myself. Mesmerizing ...... what a talented human being you are sir.
I am more of a Kydex bender than woodworker, so please pardon my amazement at the precision you get from your craft. Really enjoy watching your work.
Your best build yet, I will certainly use the idea of 1/8th steel bearing surfaces. I usually just use hard wood, but what you’ve built there is very skookum
Incredible thought and foresight that you've put into this, John. You are one of my favorite engineering-minded individuals putting out content.
Thanks John. Your experience and knowledge really shows through on this!
Ya know, it’s one thing to build this...it’s a whole other thing to design it. Impressive.
Thank you for sharing! This clearly is a very well planned project. At first I felt sceptical of the straightness of your steel plate cuts, but then I can see that you’ve strategically designed the placement of them such that they rely on the straightness of your wood more than anything. Great solution!
I look forward to seeing the rest of the build, specifically what you planned for motor placement.
Incredible build. I can't wait to see the completed saw!
Great video John, am looking forward to the rest of the build
This is engineer-design! Absolutely great.
If only my dad was still around he would love your video, from 1994-2006 my dad used to be a respectable and renound furniture buisnismen but then he had a stroke he passed away in 2018
Fantastic! I'm glad to see this come back alive. I know the mechanical structure of this was not a difficult build. I am a supporter of yours through patreon, and I absolutely find you to be brilliant! Thank you very much for sharing.
I've been looking forward to this build and as always you exceeded my expectations. Your woodworking knowledge and creativity is off the charts. Thanks for the these very inspiring videos.
Thank you for the effort you put into this! GOOD WORK!
Amazing and time consuming project. You really see how things work. Thanks
One smart cookie you are. Skill to do the work but way more to do the design.
Un placer verte trabajar con tanta precisión. Gracias John.
Love your channel
Love your work
Proud to be a petreon of this channel.
Keep em coming cus i can't wait!
Great start, really looking forward to watching this come together John
Excellent video and design. Thanks John.
Very good. Looking forward to seeing the final build.
Ah yes! The sound of that impact driver is so soothing. It lets us know things are going together. Nice work as always John.
Even though I am probably never going to build something this complex, I highly enjoy watching every second of this high-quality production. A lot of effort was put into this video and it shows. The ones that have thumbed down this video is really in the wrong channel or they are just trolling.. Thank you for another awesome video.
Epic is right. That was so entertaining and your design looks great. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next and am happy to be involved in a small way via Patreon. Scott
Great stuff, thanks for continue to post these build projects
Show de bola! Um dos melhores projetos que já vi. Parabéns e sucesso!
Nifty in every way, John! So precise and meticulous!
Beautiful work John!
Great work John! Thanks for always sharing your videos with us.👍😎JP
Incredible design and construction. Your videography really sets this above the bar. Excellent job for such a challenging project. Thanks.
Exactly why i am patreon, look closely at what is achieved here. Beautifull part ,not only how it looks but the precision that achieved with ordinary tools and straightforward design. No needless complex shapes or material or special tools, and adaptable . If you want a riving knife, you could easily change that with changing some dimensions without changing the design ! This is hard to find!
Can't wait for the next video. For all the 'down tumbers 'you have no Clou, keep tumbing down, it shows how little you know.
Fantastic work John.👌👍
What a great start to a cool build, looking forward to the rest.
Thanks Mike :)
The thought that went into this project clearly shows. I must admit that I got a little lost in places. I think I may need to watch it a couple of more times to fully comprehend. Thanks.
John, I'm watching your video from over 2-3 years. I'm glad to see that you started this project! To be honest this video, in my humble opinion is one of the best from all your work, keep it going mate!
This is a great process. Thanks for sharing with us!
Very very fine work 👍. Well done.
Well built! Thanks for the video.
Looks good John. Well thought out.
Perfect , congratulações john.
Impressionante o apreço aos detalhes!!! Parabéns. De Brasília, Brasil
OOhh boys, here we go! It's officially started! Can't wait for the rest, John. It's going to be awesome.
vous êtes un artiste.
Merci beaucoup.
Thank you
Impressive build! Great work man
Great work John
Wow! Really impressive. I really enjoy your videos across all channels. It will be cool to see this come together
Sweet mechanism! Impressive work!
борноо
You really are an artist. Great job.
Fantastic start of the build. Looking forward to the next video. It also amazes me how much work you put into it and compressed it down to 20 minutes in a video. I wonder what the full, uncut, unedited video would be like?
I love it!
Awesome work! 👍👊
Looking great!
Fantastic job dude
Fantastic John! Your projects are always top notch! I have your plans for the Ultimate Box Joint Jig and built it, really great!!!Thanks for sharing with us!!!! w.
Fantastic Video John!
Awesome. Very exciting!
Great video...finally. This is what we were waiting for!!
John, check out MDO and HDO plywood for projects like this. (And don't let the "MD*" trick you into thinking of glued-together saw dust.)
These designations are high strength plywood made usually of Fir. They have a smooth mat "kraft" finish. MDO is often used by sign painters. HDO is more heavy duty with a waterproof glue often used to make silky smooth concrete forms.
Extreme Precision Is Critical
This is some next level content!
Is it weird that I find this one of the most exciting things I’ve seen in a long while?
Super réalisation très ingénieuse bravo salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Impressive planning.
Love your videos!! Finally signed up as a member, first time I signed up as a member and this is the best channel on you tube in my eyes. Thanks for all the work and looking forward to more on table saw build!!
Thank you!
@@JohnHeisz Out of curiosity. With all the tools you've built(awesomely built by the way) with wood, do they not expand and shrink due to moisture with seasonal change?
@@JohnHeisz looking to purchasing your plans to build this baby.
Good job, great idea 👍
Very Impressive, John!
"..this one is absolutely an epic Senor John....looking forward on the next episode....from Angeles City,Philippines.....!"
Intricate build, John. Nice!
Billy
Geniale!!! Bravissimo.
Complimenti.
Amazing!
I've seen other table saws made of wood, but the ones I've seen were lacking a decent trunion.
That arbor press was awesome
Nice touch using steel on the wear surfaces. I will be watching these videos for sure.
Mark
This is why I keep poking around on yt. Another great video John! Thank you
I love this videos where you need a table saw to build the table saw you want.
Ciao John, I don't speak english very well... so I have written in italian language
progetto veramente geniale, ti seguo da un sacco di tempo, mi piacciono molto le cose che fai..
ciao dalla Sardegna ( Italy)
What an uplifting video
That's an impressive design.
Wow John! As usual, you have presented a very well thought out and unique approach to the design for your table saw lift mechanism. One suggestion for these more complicated designs would be to have an have you provide an overview of the final mechanism and its functionality before going into the build. As viewer, it’s hard to follow along with each step in the build process without having a complete understanding of how all the parts will function together in the mechanism. I believe this would be valuable time spent to provide your valuable insights in the design process...always my favorite parts of your videos. Just food for thought.
Those of us in the UK who want to be able to use dado sets will probably be watching this series very keenly!
Administers new tablesaws are going to be dado compatible.
Good job.
Its a goddamn work of art, John!
Cool bit of engineering!
wow! some next level stuff
This is WAY above my skill level, but i realy like watching these build video's by John.
John, all your projects are EPIC, but this is the most EPIC of them all! I can't wait to get the plans and build my own. I've just about worn out my Rigid 10" table saw so have been shopping around for a new model. Heck with that noise, I'm building yours. Fantastic design and fantastic engineering all the way! Thanks so much! All the best,Bob in Seattle
Thank you for the video.
Wonderful
Sei il migliore!
This is awesome
Thanks for sharing...
nice job 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Wow, that is awesome! You're definitely gonna need to find a coarse threaded rod of some sort for lifting.
Great work John.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
l never get why anyone gives a thumbs down, why not just stop watching and sod off, oh it just occurred to me they're inadiqates.
