I cannot believe after all of what this season hopefuls and the national team have gone through that people are groaning over select members who they "can't stand". Strong teams are NOT built by mean toxic energy.
I'm extra mother-bearing this #Paris2024 group too since we've seen far too many fall since Core Hydration, including Gabrielle and Konnor. People don't have to be thrilled that their select wasn't chosen, but disparaging another gymnast who did make the team will not be tolerated on this channel. I am all about the love. If anyone wants to bring the numbers to defend their select, let's go.
There will be no backhanded insults or rehashes of past, trolling, or attention seeking for the sunken place villagers to rest. Not here. I created this for those who want to see the phoenix rise not crash and burn into the bough.
To "feel" that your favorite was "owed" and provide not a comprehensive tech support is emotional choosing. I had an idea too, as many of us. But I said if certain things happen, then the following would occur. And it did. I also said that I would be in complete agreement with the team because I trusted that the committee would do the right thing and defend their reasons for doing so.
This team is strong. The slots were 5/2/2. The misfortune for several kicked the door wide open and thus made the selection less taxing, and more straight forward given the strategic upgrades from seasoned veterans, and their performances locked. With wiggle room granted, that didn't promise us anything. No matter who they put on the team the committee would be able to defend it.
There may come quads where the talent is so sparse that they may ghost a team but form single event specialists. That isn't this quad. Do not assume because the selection committee looks different that they'll relax and pick soft participants. They have to answer to someone.
I am indeed ready for Paris. Are you ready for it?
With you on this ALL THE WAY! Yes I am ready for it and I will be supporting this team and EVERY MEMBER on it.
When you consider how many injuries, illnesses and hardships each of those young women have had to battle to get to this point, seeing Simone, Suni, Jordan, Jade, Hezly, Jocelyn and Leanne standing there fills my heart with so much joy. I'm still devastated for Shilese, Skye and Kayla, but this is an amazing team and they're going to do us proud in Paris.

Can we take a moment to compliment the commentators too? Sam P was good at explaining how a block on vault works and the mistakes they made were explained nicely. I like the combo of Terry, Sam and John for commentating. ❤

This is going to be a great team, but man I’m gutted for Shilese and the others who got injured. Shilese had a real shot at an AA medal in Paris. I’m hoping she will keep going for 2028, but I suspect her body won’t let her. On the other hand.im excited for Jordan to get another shot, and for Hezly who i didnt expect to be there! Poor Leanne, alternate again though.
I want them healthy and strong, whatever road they decide. They are rockstars and they are very marketable enterprises. Strike while the iron is hot.
I'm not surprised that Leanne is an alternate yet again. She's a great athlete but from watching her over the years, she can be a little inconsistent and I'm sure the judges wouldn't want to risk it.

I cannot complain. The team looks as I predicted. #5 was always the question because I trust Simone, Suni, Jordan, and Jade.

It would hve been great to have shilese there, as for blakely ..its so sad that this is the second time.on trials that she gets injured. The stars are not aligned for her. Even connor McCain..this trial.is so.stressful.

Absolutely insane to think that the U.S. have still (by far) the highest chances of winning team gold even after 3 (!!!) top gymnasts had to pull out due to injuries. Amazing team.
YEP! I watched the Brazilian Team Trials and it was obvious that it was not really a Trial because everybody knew that Rebeca, Flavia, Jade, Lorraine, Julia and Pedro would make up the team essentially and as such none of them at least as far as I could tell competed across all the apparatuses. Simone as dominant as she is and has been, would not have been able to do that and be assured that she will make the team. So deep is the US.
gobsmacked still after all of these months at the amount of talent...some of these ladies should accept that college offer, and don't put if off for four years unless they are crowning senior level

She was my choice, but her numbers didn't come in when and where needed. She's going to Paris, get the gear, just won't get near a medal unless she's replacing a team member.
I figured they would announce Hezley last; the drama was kind of over after that. LOL
@@rollingacreseducation4547 I thought they would announce Simone first because everyone knew she was automatically going to Paris. The last one announced 100% should have been Hezley. I don't think I would have breathed between the 4th and 5th name called at all!
