I feel that all the material things are a waste after understanding Surah Takasur. All the jewellery money clothes they look like sand.May Allah give me wisdom to now understand Surah Asar.
I was neglecting and being lazy about Islam but now I been hit with a failure and I am instantly humbled but anything that make you closer to ALLAH is a blessing May be always keep me this way even if He grant me the whole world and everything in it Ameen

Yes going towards Islam ,people view it as going on downtrodden road. Hijab is looked down . But you know what when you go close to Islam , the fragrance of good deeds overpowers everything and you are no longer bothered with what people thinks. SubhanAllah. It liberates you from the fear of not getting acknowledged.

I remember one time I started going to masjid every fajr someone asked me what happened? U started to come to masjid early in the morning 😅😅 it’s like I need their approval to go to masjid
I told a Muslim friend I was thinking of starting my day by praying Fajr at the mosque and he was like, oh it's ok, as a woman you don't have to do that. As If I'd be grateful for the excuse! 😅

Let's just change the way we view their question: what happened? = why do you need to ×× (their approval)
Rather "why what happened? Something amazing" should be how you respond who knows if you answer in a nice manner you will give dawwah to the questioner and he or she may go for fajr with you InshaAllah

Absolutely, first of all those who want to practice Islam the very step is to saying thinking WHAT PEOPLE WILL SAY. if you stop thinking this.. half of the problems have already gone. We have the freedom to practice what we want. Then why we wanna restrict ourselves just because of people... PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS GONNA SAY SOMETHING. No matter what we do. yha, its not like i want to show of what, but ustadz,
my circle as worker company with friends thats its like normal to play gamble online, play girls, drinking, online debt escape, abandon prayer.. almost all is muslim, but when i try to establish my line,, its like just me who still try to practice religion is stranger one, not socialize, coward,
luckily i have my motto
" If doing sins is common way as civilian, then its just ok for me being stranger "
I think it will be better to change your circle or keep your distance or rather stay alone for it is better to be alone than to be in bad company and it is better to be in company of good than to be alone. As you've said Alhamdulillah you do have a motto but shaidan has different tactics too, sometimes you wouldn't even know when you will fall to his trap, having that kind of circle will be easy for him to make you into falling his trap. May Allah see you through and keep you firm. Ameen

As a qualified Language teacher and a scholar of developing Language skills such as reading comprehension, discourse analyses and research skills and an experienced Language teacher, I would like to comment that the Chapter Al ASR has not been properly explained as God has said in the Arabic words and their nice arrangement of words in the verses. It says, “The times are a witness (to the fact that)( و العصر)”(1) “ Indeed the humans are at a great loss۔( خسر” (2) “ Except Those who believe ( in the Quran in which God has give good and useful instruction to be followed in life) and who do good deeds ( according to God’s instructions) and advise others to believe in the truth (Al Haq)(of the Quran) and advise others to persevere and continue to do good deeds and to avoid doing evil deeds ( Bi Sabr) ( as instructed in the Quran).(3).” But unfortunately, most of the the Muslims ( the obedient servants of God) are observed not to follow these instructions, which should have been followed and acted upon obediently and faithfully in order to attract more people to believe in the Quran and do good deeds continuously.

But unfortunately better quality and more quantity aren’t only materialistic and “Kamaliyyat”. If you wish to have decent place to live, edible and healthy food, honest healthcare and a well-established education for your self or your children - all of these are consuming both the Muslim and non-muslim mentality. So there’s also the argument of direction and intent, if by all that “obsession” I seek to be a better believer, is it a win?
