- The BMW 735i... after spotting a collection of neglected cars from a shop window wile I was on Holiday in the West Country.. I decided to have a chat with the owner, one thing led to another and I ended up buying the best car there... well what was left of it anyway 😅

Please please please tell us there will be a restoration series on this car!!!
That’s what I’m saying aswel mate I love these!!
The biggest investment is sheet metal and alot of it and a professional mig/mag welding machine because this car is more rotten than the entire goverment.
That green plants and bushes are mirco climate where the humidity is always high, and the car never get a chance to dry, so i'm sure curious how this thing looks like
when it's stripped to the bare metal, or what's left of it.
Really looking forward to you restoring this wonderful car
Never understood how people can buy cars and then just leave them in a field just to get ruined and covered in moss and have plants grow through it
If your Dad's anything like mine he'll be standing there thinking "what load of junk has he bought this time".
haha i recognise this ...it still happens now and im 48 !
Awesome, the e23 is cool. The body looks a little rough, looks like it will be quite a project. Looking forward to seeing progress on the car. Should make for great series of videos.
Then about a week later he starts liking the car, but he tries hiding it 😂
If you are old enough to buy this kind of things, you also are old enough to live on your own and not bother your poor dad with your mental issues..
🤣🤣 Bad day where you are ? 🤪🤪
Speaking as a huge Beamer fan who has only ever owned BMW's in all the years I have been driving (although they were all 3 series from E30 to my current E92) it brought a tear to my eye seeing this beautiful old girl being rescued and given a second lease of life which she so rightly deserves. Colin sir, thankyou.
Me too brother, im smiling through tears, always wanted one of these beauties next to my e30s and E39 540 tourer
We share the same love my friend.
I’m glad the front spoiler made it, it was touch and go for a while there wasn’t it LOL
I was cringing watching that. Those Zender spoilers are way obsolete now.
It was our only option.. the tow eye had completely rotted off 😅
lower part seemed fairly rubbery so it bounces right back, luckily...
Glad you saved it, however I do feel sorry for the other cars that are waiting to be saved too
Sure wish I had such an opportunity to do such. Cant find any of these beauties in my country. Cant even import anything older than 8 years, it's a damn shame.
Your dad's awesome helping you out. My dad would say I was stupid
Makes you wanna cry these classic cars rotting away .
Just finished doing a full resto on one of these - 1980 735. Not for the feint hearted. Let me know if you need parts contacts or any advice…
Hi. I’m restoring E24. Most of the spares are the same. I need some info (a lot of info, haha).
M90. 1978-1980. My goodness the euro cars look. sooooo much better than the iS spec cars. Same goes for the Porsche 911 amd RUF doing it right.
One of the most beautiful BMWs ever! Especially as a sedan!
I agree best looking 4dr period!!
The bodywork looks like almost every panel is exploding with rust, I hope you are handy with a welder, this beauty is going to be a big job.
It’s is so heartwarming to see something salvaged in your videos. You specialise in showing us beautiful things slowly decaying - there is something SO emotional in that - but restoration; that’s new! Also - you did pick a car which is rather special too! Well done! It deserves a new life with an appreciative owner
Fair play, not too bad nick for 18 years outside. Nice find.
Good to see you. Wishing you good luck with the restoration. Watching the progress will be fun. Not too bad for 18 yrs outside. It could have been much worse. Thanks for sharing and stay safe.
That's a STUNNING silver Bengal/Ocicat at 1:41.
Brilliant find, well done!
I'm so excited to see how you progress with the restoration of this beauty....I can't wait for the next vid 🙂👍🏻
You'll have to do a restoration video on it now lol
Amazing, really looking forward to seeing you bring this car back to life. All the best!
Its great you're going to give it a second chance. Good luck Colin with the restoration. Good on your dad for his help xx
Could not help but smile seeing such a beautiful car being rescued and am sure the restoration process will be fascinating to watch. Well done....
I'm looking forward to seeing it getting a wash and interior strip down. Glad to hear there'll be updates on how your progressing best of luck.
What a car you've found I love it. I got a e38 750i from a lockup of my dad's and we've been putting it back together for the past year and a bit
Its nice to see more people taking on old cars, ive pretty much only done that myself for the past few years. Ive bought and maintained two early 70s triumph spitfires and have had extensive gearbox and clutch work done on my current 62 sunbeam rapier. We should be trying to re use cars more often, the main source of pollution comes from factories producing products like cars after all, not the cars themselves. You've just got yourself a new subscriber, I look forward to the restoration series.
Love these older BMW cars. Best of luck. Hope its not too bad after being stood so long. You must feel pleased about rescuing one of these cars after coming across so many. Please keep us updated. 😊 Cheers from Malta.
Well done for rescuing this beauty. Looking forward to seeing the restoration.
Good luck with your restoration Colin, definitely got your work cut out,but you have saved a classic car, love to see photos when it restored to its former glory thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! Love a good restoration
Got a Nova Sport myself that's been off the road since 1992! 52K miles on it. Can't wait to start it
Well done for saving it.Its a shame they've all be left there in such a state.Looking forward to seeing how you get on with restoring it.xx
Wow, am amazed at your bravery, taking this on will take much time and money, when finished ( in the future ) think of the dollar it be worth, well done mr beard and his dad for getting it out to save it 👏👏👏👏👏
I'm glad you rescued that BMW such a wonderful car.Amazing what you can find in North Devon! I can't wait to see you restore her to her former beauty and hear that engine running again.
I knew youd drag one out sooner or later! heh Nice to see one being saved!! Great job and a lovely new addition to the family. Look forward to seeing your progress with it man!
Can’t wait for the videos to come out on this hope you make good progress it will be great to see this beautiful car back on the road .👍
More car content man! I’ve always watched car channels for the person, not for the car, and you’re a cool guy. It’s nice seeing people showing off their hobbies and interests - and who can say no to a bit of boy time messing about with old cars? Plus, we get to know the car goes off to a good home and, no matter what car it is, seeing one left to rot is saddening.
I did look away when the Alpina spoiler flexed (there was no other way to get her out), well done for saving her!! Good luck with the restoration!! Lovely!!
Great to see classic cars getting the love they deserve hopefully you are making a restore video best of luck and stay safe
Only other car worth saving for me was the Saab good job the BBS spoiler was so flexible i had the same one on my 320 years ago looking forward to seeing this series.
Brilliant.. can't wait to see it brought back to life..👍
It’s awesome that you’re saving it bud. I’ve wanted one for many years, have fond memories of my uncles E32’s who is sadly no longer with us.
WOW!! What an awesome find! Hope you keep us up to date of the restoration

As a 13 year old my dad had brand new from showroom BMW 528i X plate 1982. Same colour as this 735i. I always remember the sticker across the bottom of the rear window that said THE ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE 😊

One of the few BMW's I like is the 635 CSi Coupe. This car looks like that , but in a 4 door. Nice to see your Dad. Cool car 4 sure. Good luck with it.
Congratulations on this ,I look forward to seeing more. You have a unique car bro👍
My dad had exactly the same model and colour, very comfortable and fast I remember, if only we had stored it, the very best of luck on your restoration project
Looking forward to seeing you restore that gem 💎
Looking forward to following your progress with the car.
Brilliant investment Colin lovely car great 👌 to see you on videos of restoration on the BMW,great video 👍😎
Great save, as an E28 owner it’s great to see another shark nose being saved. Doesn’t even look that rusty so hopefully the floors are okay and you can find some patch panels for the arches. Weird seeing the A36/A303 journey, living in Somerset I know those roads very well…
Nice find! Looking forward to the project!
What a great video. I also love the E23 - particularly in Opal Green, which I think is the best BMW colour from that era!
You’ve just gained a whole lot more respect from me mate! Saving a classic car
Excellent Car ❤️
But I'm still bumbed about the passing of RONNIE 😢
Congrats on being able to purchase that BMW, I’m from the U.S and am partial to American made cars, but I do like the older BMW’s and that was one of my favorites.
That's a proper BMW! I can see the potential, you picked a winner my friend.👍👍👍💛💛💛
