That old siding is way better than the vinyl. We were going to take ours off but decided the fix it and paint it. Nice job getting all that crap out of there. Good luck man.
It would be if it was installed well but it wasn’t. They also installed it over old mineral board siding (aka asbestos siding) which is crumbling and building up behind the aluminum and making big bellies in it in spots and popping the nails. It needs to all get stripped and redone. Didn’t want vinyl but I don’t know if I’ll have the funds for hardie board siding like I want.
