  • In today's video, I replace the brake cylinder that pushed out on the shoes which contact the brake drum in order to stop the truck. One of my cylinders were leaking and I was loosing brake fluid which is very dangerous to be on the road. I only recorded me replacing the one side, however, the process is exactly the same of the opposite side except everything is mirrored. I hope this video was helpful to you. Enjoy the video.

Gotta change them out every 10 year + in the midwest. The bleeder valve threads rust. Cheaper than buying new valves.

Been like an hour and I can not for the life of me get the brake line threaded back on

Sometimes the rust is too bad to be able to rethread in. You might have to buy a new break line. Or you might be able to take a tap and dye set and rethread the threads if they're not too far gone.

It was my first time doing that job so I was learning along the way. We all make mistakes.

Correct! Here's some help. The brake adjusting cable goes on before the springs.
