Growing up in London in my youth all the chip shops had Rock Salmon, Flake, Rock eel or my favourite name Sweet William.
Was my favourite to eat, afraid now do not see it in the chippy’s now.

Caveman Fisher I grew up in Hounslow, moved to west Berkshire when I changed job & got married age 24.
It was still on sale in chip shops in Portsmouth and Hayling Island lady time I was there (about a year ago). I used to catch and eat loads of it, massively under rated. Great stuff! 👍

You guys do not have to worry about getting enough food from the market because the sea is your market. Take care and stay healthy during these trying times. Everything except supermarkets, banks, essential offices are closed in NY. So many hundreds of people losing their jobs. No sporting events. Very serious. That dogfish looks absolutely delish. You may wish to try it with siracha mixed with sourcream. I like a 2 part cream 1part siracha. The cream lightens the heat so it doesn't burn up my tender taste buds.

I get told everything will eat anything so just a little confused on what bait to use. I told my wife that I’ll goin to ask u about bait. Thank u if u get back to me would be amazing. Helen M Dw the videos on the channel were we target different fish you will see you use different bait dude it’s hard to put it all into one video but it all depends what your targeting to be fair , good rule of thumb is big fish like ray conger Huss are all fish eaters so mackerel or squid is a good choice of bait an we use 6/0 hooks or bigger for eels , as for flatfish red mullet an smaller species an flapper rig with 1/0 hooks will work perfect with any worm bait or Peeler crab , best advice I can give you is to think up what you want to catch an watch videos an look up the best methods of catching that species an you will build up a knolage of what works 👍 thanks for watching

dog fish make some good fish cakes but if im frying it i skin them soak them in strong salt water over night i see you noticed my butter with fat comment last year that stops the butter burning nice to see me get a kind of mention in the vid as chefs and fishermen you never stop learning catch em up smash

That looks a cracking adventure! Also looks like a slight modification to the entryways on the bicycle wheel lobster pots? Sure they were black originally. Why do you not get shore crabs in your drop nets? I get one or two nearly every time but usually a bit too small for eating

Just a note of interest, your Rapala "bait" knife is nicer than any of the kitchen knives I've seen your use to clean seafood. You really ought to trade out knives, and use the Rapala to clean your abalone and fish.....it looks a lot sharper than the kitchen knives you hack stuff apart with....
