    I had a Givi Airflow on my second Burgman. Best screen you can get. Hands down. I wanted one for the Sym Maxsym 600 that replaced it, but unfortunately Givi don't do one that fits. One thing mentioned in the video that I did have for the Maxsym was a seat cushion, though not the one featured. It made a big difference to comfort on longer rides. Well worth having.

    Great video and great bike. My 400 is much the same. I'm currently upgrading the box and fitting the E135 this week. I've got most of the things you have excepting the cruise control as I rarely ride the motorways here in the UK.
    One thing I do have that I didn't see is a PowerHub2 Power Distribution Module. It controls the 12v power distribution for accessories. Things like the GPS and cameras are powered directly from the battery and the power is triggered by the ignition so there's no chance of battery drain when the bike engine isn't running.
    Keep up the good work. Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up!

    • @Igizeh
      @Igizeh Před 3 lety

      Hello Mick! Thanks for feedback and enjoy your upgrades! I didn't follow power hub route, as Garmin harness is specific which I believe do not drain battery, and USB port have SAE connector which I keep disconnected all the time (I rarely use USB). For camera I used harness only once during long trip to alps, but it didn't drain battery badly overnight and I used to ride every day. Once I returned back I dismounted it. So yeah, if you use any accessories frequently, PowerHub is really good thing and worth installing.

    У меня вопрос - заметно, что вы не считаете копейки и вместе с тем используете для путешествий 400куб, а не 650. Можно узнать - почему? Задумываюсь сейчас о бурге. 650ка привлекает динамикой и безкомпромисностью, но боюсь, что больший вес и габариты будут мешать в городе, где процентов на 70-80 и предполагается использование скутера.

    • @Igizeh
      @Igizeh Před 3 lety +5

      Добрый день! Я тоже стоял в своё время перед таким же выбором. Помимо разницы цены за новый скутер в ±30% между 400 и 650, у меня сыграли роль следующие пару факторов:
      1) Вес, как вы верно заметили. Сам я не сильный, потому мне важно было чтобы я сам смог катать байк по парковке и смог удержать его в междурядье как с женой, так и с женой и грузом. В этом плане я не прогадал и 400 прям под мой вес.
      2) Багажник! 62 литра под седлом, абсолютный рекордсмен среди всех скутеров. Это прям киллерфича, которую к сожалению пустили под нож в модели 2018 года :( Багажник + кофр = 109 литров убирает необходимость в боковых кофрах
      3) Расход топлива. Если в Молдове эта разница не существенна в деньгах, то в путешествиях на 6000 км через Европу экономия на бензине видна. На трассе при 90-100 км/ч с женой и полным багажом я выводил на 3.5 л / 100 км. Плюс бОльший бак даёт 350 км стабильно между заправками
      4) Наличие бОльшего числа афтемаркет аксессуаров на 400, чем на 650 - особенно критично в плане стекла и сцепления. Почему сцепление? В Кишинёве очень узкое междурядье, и если 400 и 650 почти одинаковые по габаритам, то по весу 650 будет тяжелее на пешеходной скорости держать и лавировать между зеркалами. Также с центробежным сцеплением мне кажется легче держать скутер на околонулевых скоростях, 650 не уверен что может стабильно держаться до 10 км/ч без рывков. Это может быть не проблема для городов где междурядье шире
      После 5+ лет владения могу добавить: по весу и габаритам угадал. Мощности под мой вес и жены тоже хватает (Я 70 + 55 жена). При скоростном лимите в городе 50+10 и на трассе 90+10 - мне хватает вполне. Единственное когда мне хотелось бы мощнее - это автобаны с лимитом в 130, но я на них попадаю 2-4 раза в год. Ради этого иметь бОльшую кубатуру не перекрывает с плюсами которые даёт 400 каждый день. Скутер едет вдвоём и быстрее (поднимал до 160 при обгонах при полной загрузке), но это уже на пределе возможностей.
      Но если бы я был крупнее и сильнее, скажем в районе 100 кг, то это была бы другая история и я бы наверное смотрел в сторону 650.
      90-100 в путешествиях - лучшая скорость чтобы успеть среагировать на неожиданности локальных европейских дорог (выезд трактора с поля / объезд ямы / дикое животное / внезапный разворот машины на заправку), так и успеть рассмотреть виды по которым едешь, а не телепортироваться из точки А в Б.
      Что не нравится в 400: обслуживать стальной ремень + шестеренки думаю проще, чем постоянно следить за простым ремнем и щеками, плюс мириться с тем что с износом деталей характеристики падают. Но по деньгам и то и то выходит примерно одинаково, если скутер покупается не на один сезон.
      400 подъедает масло при высоких оборотах / жарком климате. Особенно Мотюль. Может это решается другим маслом, но всё равно за уровнем надо периодически следить.
      Но по большому счёту в итоге что 400 что 650 будут радовать, оба скутера имеют просто громадное количество владельцев по всему миру и недостатка информации по ним нет.

Would be nice!:) Cheers, and love your videos on touring...come to Canada, you would love the Rockie mountains here!:) Love the seat cover, front lights, and the LED lights on the trunk. Also the cruise control! Brilliant!...I think all of this can go on the Yamaha if I get that bike. It only has a single disk break in front, so a better unit would probably be a smart upgrade. The only other thing I might add to the front would be the GPS device...perhaps a battery one so it does not drain the bike? Can recharge it later...not sure. I like to see the controls!LOL

But GPS, Denali D2 LED lights, Airhawk seat are universal, so highly likely they will fit most scooters. But better to double check dimensions of units on owners forum before buying. Screen, exhaust, cruise control are model-specific, but might be for Yamaha as well.

      Hello Kostas. Unfortunately I have no codes, my dealer looked up for me per their catalog from manufacture. But I believe it was Braking S3 series with codes S38XXX www.braking.com/pub/media/catalog/1-2-3_s3_schede.jpg
      You need to keep in mind that all disks are suitable for ABS. Hope it helps
