How To Make Wooden Wheels: Making wooden wheels from 3/4 inch wood using drill press / belt sander and Wen lathe, this technique I found to work Pretty good.

I think you can skip the belt sander since the lathe is the next step....it’s a lot easier to smooth down with a spindle gouge and sanding would also be a piece of cake on the lathe.

You’re doing good the one thing I do different is I drill the hole saw down to where the bit comes through the wood flip it over an finish drilling from the other side that way I have the wheel just parsley sticking out an can pull it out with my fingers an I always do all my sanding on my lathe but what you’re doing looks great thanks for sharing
