  • Looking for the ultimate way to serve beer, wine, and cocktails? Look no further than a keezer. A keezer is a converted freezer that can be customized to your needs.
    Our keezer build will have a beer, wine, and manhattan on tap. We utilized a 7.1 cu. ft. freezer for our build, as well as an Inkbird temperature controller to control the freezer’s temperature.

    Correction at 3:49: You need 4 Air Line Jumpers total for this particular build. Cheers!

    Nice tutorial, I am hoping to build one of these soon. I would like to have some stella artois and blue moon in mine

    Thanks! Nice video!
    I’ll use my keezer for a nitro coffee cold brew keg and carbonated water, so two corny kegs and two tanks.

    I plan on going with two 1/2 kegs, of of Founders KBS, and one of Bells Oberon!

    Very nice, what's the best temperature differential on the ink bird?

    Nice build. Do you need to do anything to ensure a good seal between the lid and the wood frame?

    • @KegWorks
      @KegWorks  Před rokem

      The original seal on the lid was enough for us, but it would be a good idea to check for any air leaks.

    Instead of putting the faucets on the collar, could I run the beer lines out of the keezer a few feet, into a tower and faucet? Provided they were insulated the maintain beer temperature, and sealed well around the hole in the collar.

    • @KegWorks
      @KegWorks  Před rokem

      Yes that would be possible! Depending on how far you need to run the lines, you might want to look at adding a short draw glycol pump.

    Isn't wood a far better insulator than foam? That's just what I was taught back in the day.

    How thick was the foam insulation on the inside of the collar?

    • @KegWorks
      @KegWorks  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Jason! The foam insulation we used was 1 inch thick.

    Is nitrogen necessary? what is it used for besides the CO2 cylinder for tapping?

    • @kayoticks
      @kayoticks Před rokem +1

      Nitro is used as the gas for pushing the wine and cocktail because it doesn't dissolve into solution. If you use CO2 it would carbonate them, which is fine for the beer but, not what you want for the others unless you want to be pouring sparkling wine and bubbly Manhattans.
      Incidentally this is why stouts often use a CO2/Nitro mix. You dial up the pressure and it gets the beer lightly carbonated, and is then pushed through a restrictor plate on a stout tap which gives you that dense creamy foam and lowers the carbonation in the beer itself.
