For this video, I uncovered some interesting information about a number of LED grow lights available on the market. I'm not trying to cause any trouble but I do think the information I uncovered is important and definitely isn't fair to any unknowing growers who might not realize they are being scammed!

Do you have any of the information Samsung sent you to prove what you’re saying. You didn’t provide any real information other than just your word. I mean without the actual test results you say you got you could’ve said anything you want about any brand you want.

Look at the spec sheets for both diodes. They are identical. The h is simply branded for the horticultural market.

@@wizzz88 Lol no, it's a process called binning. Computer chips work the same exact way. During production, some chips perform better than others. They all get organized in bins in order of efficiency. The best ones go to Tv's, ipads and computer monitors. The lesser performing chips go to grow lights and other electronics. Over time, the manufacturing process improves and they release chips like the evo or H series. Technically, they're all the same chip but the evo's etc perform much better than the first iteration lm301b's. Again, it's like computer cpu's. Some become i7's some become i5's and the price difference can be hundreds of dollars but theyre technically all the same chip. Furthermore, it's not uncommon for companies like alienware, Asus, MSI etc do their own binning when it comes to higher end GPU's. It's not false advertising at all. Basically, do some research before you start sharing your perspective.

I bet this was made by someone that works for spiderfarmer/mars hydro same company.
Regardless of branding of the diode, the PAR output is valid and well above what is necessary for a successful grow. I'm not sure why it matters what specific diode they use so long as PAR is there

I know one thing everything I got that's actually infinity is to the best equiptment I've owned,not only that but I had a problem with a inline fan that I had for about a year and they replacement immediately at no charge.

Have you contacted any of these companies for comment on your findings? Are the lights you sent samsung brand new unopened box? I would imagaine Samsung wouldn't be happy about this if this is accurate. Hope to see these companies comment here!!
Where is the proof?and you’re telling me Samsung these all these test for you for free?makes no sense at all. And if you have the money to throw at 4 different lights at one time to get tested you then you can afford to be buying the best on the market that are used at these big warehouses. I think this is fake.

Yea I don't think this is real. The diodes have product IDs on the back. A cheap soldering iron to desolder them would've been easier, cheaper and given concrete evidence.
U can return things you know, so if what me and I was trying to also make content by these lights, and knowing that I could return the item, and on top of that if samsung actually tested it and it came back as it was not the correct diode that again would be grounds for a free return. Just saying.
He just showed you in detail the proof.
Successful companies like Samsung will gladly test products sold by companies that they are partnered with so some random company doesn't give Samsung a bad rep by lying to their customers.
It's called caring about and respecting the people that spend their hard earned money on their products.
Unless YOU have any proof whatsoever to debunk this video then you're just blowing smoke and being too lazy to do what this man did by DOING THE RESEARCH. 🤡
@@calmerthanyou6180Samsung do not partner with grow light manufacturers. Grow light manufacturers just purchase Samsung branded diodes, often not even from Samsung directly. Samsung would not conduct testing even if you offered to paid them, it’s just not a service they offer. simply send an email to their customer support if in doubt. It always helps to do some actual research, rather than just pretend to :)
Your info is not true
If you use a lot more diodes per watt of 281B vs fewer 301B/H (same diode, different Bins), then the "not a particularly high quality diode" outperforms even the 301H. They use exactly the same technology, it's just a different form factor, and they perform closer than you'd imagine chip for chip. 5% performance difference for a 40% cost difference.
The 301B and H are basically the same chip.unless it's the B Evo

Lm 281 b+ pro is one of the best leds in the market, the efficacy is almost the same than 301b but they can handle the double of the power up to 0.5w... Ideal for high penetration aplicatons as greenhouse lighting...
There are some good leds from hyphotonflux that still uses those chips! Maybe ill get one

Mars hydro or Spider Farmer. Don't waste your money with Vivosun you will regret the purchase. Ask someone who has Vivosun that are not sponsored by Vivosun. I am on a budget i went with Vivosun and all of my electronic equipment from Vivosun are failing. Incorrect reading incorrect functioning. I got what i paid for. Lesson learned. I can't leave my tent unattended.
Shane at Migro has done efficiency tests on all these lights, so I'd got by that rather than fret about diodes on such cheap lights. They are virtually they same diode... just the newer one is more energy officiant, but they produce the same amount of light, so they are not aiming to deceive. AC inf started as a ventilation company are are the best in the business. their cloudline extraction fans and cloudray oscillating fans are the best you can get, matched with the smart controllers.... I don't think they have proven themselves with lighting yet. but the little magnetic strip lights they do a good for small areas and use as side lighting.
I went for a high spec bar light from lunitek that's 2.9 energy officiant, I can also take bars out of it to save energy and add them as the grow expends across my 4x4ency tests on all these lights, so I'd got by that rather than fret about diodes on such cheap lights.
How was the Lumatek for flower?
@@deanlockwood6071 Great. In winter I run it with co2 and in summer without. so 1000+ and 800 PPFD on 20hr cycle running auto's. Tight node spacing in veg, so if you want taller plants, then lift the light and make them reach. I take bars off mine in veg as I don't need to cover the whole floor area and add the bars as they spead out.. I phoned Lumatek supports to check and they said it's fine and each remaining bar will still work at the 100w at full power.
@@TexasGrown1978 Thew hydro farm is just a fan. nothing special about it. You are also wrong about the ACI being the same as the others, ...It's no...t as it has better quality bearings and DOES have a higher CFM as was shown in a review on YT some time ago.
Migros test results are a great way to compare lights for sure!! AC infinity's fans are great for the price and the fact that they include a great controller for less than the cost of a higher end fan by itself. I think they are the best choice for exhaust or intake fans especially when its running at a lower speed most of the time, however for a scrubbing application where the fan is running wide open 24/7 pulling air through a carbon filter with 2.5" bed depth like a CAN or kootenay I thing you are better off with a heavy duty fan like a Ruck (a Maxfan is just a rebranded Ruck fan for 2x the price) or a Hyperfan.
Their oscillating fans aren't the best. I've had 2 S6's start making knocking noise after a few months of use. AC has acknowledged this & fixed the issue so I'll give them that. I'm waiting for 2 replacements (they're replacing them fyi if you guys have one) because of the issue. I'll know in another 6 months if the new ones are better, lol.
called samsung and they said they do NOT test products for customers like this and never have. call them yourself
Mr cannucks used the ac infinity and had no problems. He grew some gas.
He's a pro and has every part of the grow dialed in.its not the light it's everything and it is still an okay light.he will probably yield more than you whit a lesser light.
I had no problems with AC Infinity
its about false advertising, not if the light can flower cannabis. i can grow with a fluorescent bulb, but i want the best LED's to grow the best flower, cant do that if they lie to us.

Figures i was thinking of getting the Ac infinity 3x3 to start me off. I feel like i just took 3 steps backwards. Was looking forward to that controller. kinda hoping i can get a wifi setup so phone will help me.

I could not pass it down got the 3x3 kit for $550 getting good results on my first grow. tossed in Auto pots really feels automated system now just open the tent 2x a day and its looking good. I dont have co2
I'm on my 2nd grow using the S24 2x4 ionboard from them & it works just fine.

Just get the kit with out the light and buy another light if you don't trust the AC light
I'd suggest not going with Mars Hydro if you're looking for anything other than a small light. There so many issues with the FC4800 to the FC8000. The lights can go out and the power supplies go out pretty often. The worst part is that you could grow an autoflower from seed to harvest before you get your new power supply sent. I'm going through that right now. They offered to through in a 6 inch refurbished fan for my not being about to grow for 3 months!....

Even from the beginning, it's based on an assumed "fact" that Samsung diodes are the best on the market. You then go on to invent a ranking of their diodes based on... I guess nothing...
I mean LM301 is even Samsung's "mid power" range, so I'm not sure why you're claiming that they are the highest end.
You even include physically smaller LEDs in the same "range" as Samsung's larger diodes, that's what 2835 denotes.
Making accusations like this is a huge legal risk, and will probably kill Mars Hydro if they ever face litigation. It's very clear from your reddit history that you are either employed, or sponsored by Mars Hydro.

I use a mars hydro fc-e4800 and i have definitely seen a huge difference with the philizon w1500 i was using before

Everyone go look at the reviews on AC Infinity's products and customer support. If I could find out for sure you are indeed sponsored by a competitor I wouldn't buy a tie wrap from them.
you tested their older models of these lights they got upgraded with 301h samsung using the same light and switched diodes in later productions, you are kind of lying lol
Thw only thing that matters is the accuracy of their par maps. They may alao have disclaimers that say diodes may be subject to change depending on availability. There have been supply chain issues that you seem to be unaware of. Check for disclaimers, then update the video. You haven't presented any useful information. Get a light meter to check the lights performance, if the light performs as claimed, why be a cork sniffer about diodes. Those are the cheapest lights made by any of those manufacturers anyway, they all have much better lights for only a few bucks more.
False information. The AC Infinity IonFrame use Samsung EVO mint diodes. Source. I can physically see the diodes on the light bar.

They were exactly the same when the 301h was first released, but currently the 301h has an antisulpherization coating to prevent corrosion in horticultural applications, and the lm301b does not. The spectrum should be the same between lm301h and lm301b, although the lm301H evo has a much different spectrum from pretty much every other white diode on the market because of its 437nm base vs 450nm like everything else. Jury is still out on how big of a difference that actually makes, samsung found it improved growth on testing with lettuce but...

now it makes sense . they have exact copies of one another . way to small of a footprint for both companies, reguardless of who makes the diode .
Sucks because I had 2 spiderfarmer lights but I just bought a new light thinking I was upgrading and come to find out the new ac infinity light doesn't have the newest diodes like the say
This video is BS and clickbait. The 301B and the 301H are the same diode. The H is just for Horticulture designation. I just got over a 1 LB yield out of 1 autoflower plant with that acinfinity light.

Bizzare,,, I do know I have both the IONGRID and IONLIGHT from AC Infinity and they most certainly put out different light at same power level looking visually at them. So either this video is fake, or the IONLIGHT does not have 301B as advertised, or China manufacturing is cheating and putting in cheaper diodes than ACInfinity requested of the manufacturers

After leaving a review on Amazon regarding the price change of their light years ago, they contacted me offering to send me a free light and refund me for the original light if I change my review. That’s all you need to know about spider farmer.
no offense 007 but you are expecting aston martin performance from their entry level scaled down pedal powered toy car, mars hydro and spider farmer are the same company but the spider farmer is not at the same level in performance and are @ 45% more expensive , i know a few guys that went down your road and they paid almost the same money as me but they never advanced past the HPS 400w and 600w level they were at already , my upgrade from hps elevated me from 2x 600 w hps to 2x 800w actual draw equivalent to 3x 1000w hps , and because they are dimmable the actual power draw is 200w for the grow and then 400w for early bloom and full power for last 3 weeks , you will struggle to yeild 4 oz per plant whereas i regularly yield 15 to 17 oz per plant every 3 months 4 times per year.
Why would samsung do that for you? For free no less... This was just a bad attempt to break 200 followers with something " controversial " . Also in my opinion why would samsung agree with to be apart of some scandal and then give you proof,

My Guess is this guy sent samsung the IONLIGHT with 301B instead of their newer IONGRID that uses the 301H. Becaues I have both products from AC Infinity and they are definately different visually at the same power level.
Man I’m surprised you didn’t include Horticulture Lighting Group. Can you do a video on HLG 100 Rspec or HLG 150 Rspec FR? They claim LM301H too but they have a better rep than the others and are the goto for grow lights.

And I find it extremely hard to believe that he's looking for a budget light but then decides to buy four different lights and pay for shipping to send them to samsung? Not to mention I highly doubt Samsung would test these lights for free LOL complete bulshit... I have a 4X tent with three plants that each year did over a pound and a half with a Vivosun light lol. Honestly I think the overall efficiency and output of the light are much more important that what specific diodes they are using, any of the diodes listed can acheive solid outputs and efficiency #s as long as the manufacturer is using enough of them. But those companies still shouldent be lying about the diodes they are using...

@@MrE1981 The best way I have found to pick lights is looking at the DLC hort listings, you can set filters for efficiency and output and it will show you the lights that meet those requirements, just the numbers no marketing or anything. You would be surprised how many big name companies are fudging their specs on their websites but the DLC listings are just the test results.

Hello, can you do something like the video for oscillating (clip on) fans because alot off companies say that their fans are so great. But when checking reviews some do say they are great but others say thay stop working after a few weeks. So it's so confusing because I live somewhere in the EU and getting stuff from the US is to expensive and you need to look hard to get great fans.
My AC Cloudray S6 Fan’s working great over 1 Year without Problems. Only one thing to do not! Don’t Touch or Adjusting the Angle when they run and Oscillates . Otherwise you damaged the gear in the motor and they oscillate not.

So you just rely on some random person who made a CZcams video to make your decision for you? Because before I bought mine, I did research, on my own, and out of the many reviews I read, I bought the ac infinity… this is the first video I’ve seen that says anything negative
AC Infinity should sue you for slander, because that’s what this is.
I have both ACINFINITY 301B and 301H lights, there is no doubt the LED's put out different light. the H are most certainly brighter at the same percentage level including max 100%. No maybe the 301B are fake, so they are look different, but why would they do that, it makes no sense to me.
Very interesting , the manual for my ionboard (not grid) s22 specifically says ‘built using genuine Samsung lm301h’ , I don’t really want to send it to Samsung to check though !

@@horacefisher299 I have and IONBOARD S24 and IONGRID S22, the first advertizes the 301B and latter advertizes 301H. Now my experience is the two lights LED are defintely different the IONGRID S22 certainly are brighter at the same power levels including 100%. I had great luck with both those lights and have them both in the same 2x4 tent. However I am really disgusted if they are lying to us, makes me wonder what crap the IONBOARD has instead of the 301B, because I know they are different.

If you’re looking for a good consumer grade light I’d suggest checking out bestva...was really impressed with my buddy’s grow and he has the pro version for $450 or so I think. Should do this with some bigger lights like growers choice etc.

Great video.l always purchase higher price great quality lights like lumatek zeus 600w pro 2.9, and my previous light the telos 10 pro.l trust them.maybe you could try them next if you could get a sponsor.very good info.thank you for that.
I've got that light. you can run it on just one bar and add them as the grow spreads out across your tent. I rang Lumatek and checked with them first and all good, so saving a fortune on energy.for several weeks
HPS is the only lighting for Flowering and Fruiting plants and ALL PROFESSIONALS use them.

He hasn't exposed anything about the AC infinite light, as the two diodes are virtually the same, with the only difference being the energy efficiency to produce the same amount of light. Old stock/new stock. All this video proves is a little knowledge is a dangerous thing
I have had great luck with AC Infinity products so far but not so with Vivosun, there stuff is no good, judging from their PH tester which was total junk and not accurate at all. In fact it was all over the place, and their is no way to get more stuff to calibrate it.
Spiderfarmer always the best and grows the best.
At least Spider Farmer wasn't lying so there is hope!

My se7000 is on its 2nd driver and 1 light stand ,the worst customer service U will come across, just pray U don't get a lemon, very sneaky as well changing the meanwell driver with out telling anyone,if they were a better driver they would of advertised it.
Spider Famer is doo doo compared to AC Infinity.

I have both their ionboard and their newer iongrid lights. The two most certinaly have different color spectrums visually, so my guess they have to be 301B and 301H respectively. I do not have their newest ionframe to compare the color spectrum to. I also noted that his email from Samsung, does not specifiy model number of AC-Infity so not validity their. I also noticed on the vivosun he is using Amazon descriptions not the companies description, Amazon sellers can put what ever they want in their description, that does not mean vivosun itself was claiming 301H, so that is wonky wish wash bs too, although I have never owned a vivosun light. Either way my two acinfinity lights could be different only because they are still different diodes and both are misadvertised, so now that I spewed my junk because I love acinfinity products I realized I really don't have anything new to add and I would like to here from acinfinity too. I need to call them tomorrow anyway, so maybe I will ask them about this. Another thought is that maybe the manufacturer swapped the diodes out to make a bigger profit, and acinfinity was duped by their manufacturer. the saga continues...
