    If people honestly have a size issue, honestly the FMS travel great with the included case and they are really capable rigs. If they want the smaller 1/24, get the Axial Deadbolt at $124 throw on a brass diff cover for a few extra bucks and you've got a much more capable rig than the Element.

    I have a couple of Hobby Plus cr24, and they're decent enough for what they are, but they are so far behind my Scx24. I got them for like 30 bucks a piece from a banggood sale though, so at that price they were fine. With the upgrade electronics kit it's a lot better than stock, but again, nowhere near the Scx24.

    After dropping the furitek trans and system in my enduro24, beadlocks and tires, i love it 10x more over my FMS and scx. plus, I have less in it after upgrades! Powerhobby makes a bunch of brass parts for it as well. Mine has brass axle housings. In stock form I absolutely hated it. But since upgrading, it's become by far my favorite small scale

      You got a furitek system, rims, tires, etc in the enduro and it still costs less than an scx?
      That is surprising being that the enduro is only $40 less than an scx or fcx.

      @@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors My fcx and scx are both modded with furitek systems and other upgrades. And yes, the Enduro cost less than both before and after upgrades. And honestly, stock to stock, there isn't a huge difference between the Enduro or my FCX24 as far as performance wise on my course. The tires on the Enduro are a whole lot better than the fcx24. Don't get me wrong, the fcx is better, but it's not $70 better. I got my Enduro24 on sale last year. It was definitely worth $80 to me.

    Great notice for people looking at these Element brand cars, I hope it keeps someone from buying these. I was on the fence of buying one of these or a SCX24 and just keep waiting, the FCX24 was released soon after and when I saw how much everyone liked them I bought one. I'm really glad I got my FCX24, it's my first crawler and I just use it casually when I'm bored but it's so good out of the box (mine isn't stock any longer) compared to the Element especially .

    I have a ton of CR-24 for 30 - 50 bucks new. Well worth the money. Ordered 2 more for 29 4 days ago. Have 2 RGTs (=Element), worse than CR-24, front motor btw makes it IMPOSSIBLE to mount most scale bodies in those. CR-24 is perfect for Mini-Z scale bodies. People who say or write Enduro24 (= RGT) is good for scale projects do not know nothing and talk nonsense, CR-24 is the way to go. Many parts are compatible with FCX24.
    CR-24 have nice beadlocks which can be upgraded easily, RGT/Enduro has glued tires.

    • @donaldsneffe

      @@2fmrc First: I agree, I would not buy the Element for 100 bucks today (however, bought my first CR-24 as Amewi AMXRock for 100 bucks 4 years ago).
      You are so focussed on "crawl, crawl, crawl", sometimes compare apples with pears, letting those 1s trucks run on your SCX24 course...
      CR-24, however, is much better than RGT (Element), in performance and for using it as a base for a scale body. Better than SCX24 (and for sure FCX24). There is a reason why those are so popular (for 4 years now?).
      30 - 50 bucks, perfect. Even the small radio can be used with a 10 bucks receiver.
      Nobody will ever tell it crawls well on 1s.
      But it has frame mounted servo and motor in center... so perfect for a small scale body, absoultely perfect (wheelbase matches Mini-Z 4x4 bodies etc.).
      SCX24 and FCX24: Servo on axle, what is not scale at all. FCX24 additionally super wide, strange dimentions, so nothing for a scale truck. And with extended wheelbase? Better use a Hobby Plus CR-18 for start.
      I suggest you take your CR-24, get a nice scale hardbody (Mini-Z 4x4), do a nice paint job, mount a ton of LEDs, check a nice lightcontroller, paint and modify the beadlock wheels or use small upgrade tires on 1.0 metal beadlicks, ... buy metal shafts of metal cross-members for plastic shafts, ... make a simple custom interior, a driver figure... and you will have a super nice small scale truck. Not a crawler, a scale truck.

    • @2fmrc
      @2fmrc  Před rokem +1

      @@donaldsneffe yeah I don’t get that much into trail trucks that the servo location matters to me. I know it does to some so it’ll work for some I’m sure. These trucks are made CHEAP though for sure and that’s what gets me. That’s why I dog them with releases like this. No matter what it’s being used for, scale trailing or crawling. It should be better. They can’t include bearings or some decent screws? If they are aimed at “scale” guys then they should give the thing a decent body and some accessories. Maybe an esc that will actually crawl without sounding like nails on a chalkboard. Then maybe I’ll give them some credit. Instead element just tries to find another cheap body they can toss on it for another grab at some money. I don’t have a problem with the cr24 because most of the time it’s offered at a price I feel is good for it. I personally wouldn’t give over $20-30 for one but they can usually be found for $75 or so new and that is a decent buy for the type of build you’re talking about. I had a mini z also and they are wayyyy overpriced for what they are lol. Same type of junk screws with aaa batteries to run it. I’ll take the good looking new bright from wal mart over one of those things and save $150 lol. They do look good though & the body is the only thing worth using on them. I’m just not giving element any credit on this one. It’s junk & all they wanna do is grab some quick cash off the popularity of the 1/24s. If they really wanted to offer a decent truck they’d design their own.
      As far as doing anything with my cr24…. It’ll just be my loaner for any kids that come to the house and wanna drive one. I’m not really interested in putting all that work into a truck to trail with. I like the scale trucks but something like the scx24 bronco is good enough for me and is way better straight out of the box with a good esc etc. Even a much better body than any of these. Plus it can actually run on my course. They all have their place in the hobby. Different offerings for different styles but they could do much better with some of their choices of parts if they actually cared.

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe Před rokem

      @@2fmrc i think the FCX24 ist the very first of those smaller (1/18) trucks by FMS/RocHobby/EazyRC which comes with all ball bearings and hex screws. All others (BTW: Katana, LC80, Atlas 6x6 do have Hobby Plus CR-18 axles, which are nearly identical to the CR-24 axles, only longer end-piece, and identical central transmission) come with bushings and PH-screws...
      The FCX24 is the first one which goes in their "1/12 line" (Willy, Jimny, Beetle, Kübelwagen, and now the new Toyota FJ45) with ball bearings and 2-speed transmission. The receiver unit of the FCX24 is identical to the one of the 1/12 Jimny. For what it is and compared to the other FMS/RocHobby/EazyRC 1/18 trucks the FCX24 is sold way too cheap.
      But they obviously did it to be in the price range of the SCX24, and that's probably why they also call it "24" and not 1/18, as the Atlas 6x6. Target was clearly the SCX24 market.

I know they were on eBay for a bit. I like how it fits basically any wheelbase you put on it but the slick rails always let my trucks slide off the rails at times so it’s not the best solution really. These below are pretty good. Once you set them for your wheelbase you can glue the tabs in place if you don’t want them to come out. Or they are totally adjustable and hold the trucks well. The axles just fit in their slots well and don’t move. You can also get them customized! Lately I’ve just been using those foam blocks my dad found that are a perfect fit lol.
