- Taking inspiration from late 1940s to early 1960s "Space Age", we are proud to have developed the Geckota G-01 Dive Watch. This era of design is championed by buildings such as Eero Saarinen's legendary TWA Flight Center and John Lautner's Elrod House.
This is an amazing watch which is as always is only produced in very limited batches. Only 100 per version will be made in each production run and each watch is individually numbered
The hands and markers are a polished gold colour.
Water resistant to 300m / 30atm.
Solid 316L polished stainless steel case.
Individually numbered.
Screw-down signed 'G' two-tone crown with double O-ring seal.
Dial and hands feature Swiss Super-LumiNova luminescent paint.
Domed scratch resistant sapphire crystal with AR coating.
Calibre 35 mechanical movement.
14.5mm case thickness.
22mm lug width.
42mm (exc. crown) case diameter.

Still really enjoying my Red version. A truly unique and stunning addition to my collection.
The watch is gorgeous in picture and after seeing it on video, it's a must have. It arrived today in the post and it's is absolutly stunning! It looked like a beautiful gem in it's nice little quality watch box. How to not fall in love with it? The old-fashion-modern-quality-design is fascinating. I think this watch stands out, yes it's one of a kind.
I just purchased the P-01 and I love the watch. And the delivery is faster than anyone I've ever done business with. Am thoroughly satisfied and will buy another watch soon. Thank you Geckota!

Also like the blue and the grey dials; the red is beautiful, but I don't think it's for me.

Cushion shape watch cases usually play larger on the wrist. Hopefully, this is the case here?

What's the difference between this one and the newer Pioneer?
Is the gold insert in the watch crown going to fade away? Is it plated?
I just received the watch and it really is beautiful. It wears smaller than it's 42 mm though and knowing that i would have liked it perhaps a mm bigger. I'm gonna give it at least a couple of days on the wrist before i make my mind up though. The strap is just as beautiful but the buckle lets it down. There's just something unprecise and fidddly about the buckle that make it feel cheap. Maybe i'm nitpicking but another thing is the box. Forget the classy wooden box (featured in all online videos) packed in a thin outer cardboard box, now it comes in some sort of sturdy cardboard box with a matte cheap finish. The interior of the box also feels quite cheap and looks nothing like the box in all the marketing videos. As i said the watch it self along with the strap is beautiful and has a quality feel but the buckle and the box really lets it down.
Ok, as i said maybe i'm nitpicking as i'm really buying a watch and not a box. But (at least for me) i'm also buying the brand and when all the marketing material shows something else than what is delivered ......? Sure, its not a expensive watch but still, although proven reliable its equipped with quite a inexpensive and basic movement. And its a brand without big marketing costs. Considering this i think its a strange way to cut corners.
To sum it up. My initial feeling is that:
the watch it self deserves a 4 out of 5 stars
strap 3 out of 5 (because of the buckle)
and box 1 out of 5 (because the discrepancy from the marketing material)

would look great in a bronze brushed case, an upgraded movement and option to have custom text on the dial
