I think a big thing that's not being talked about enough. On the business and interest side from the influencer. People watch into 2024 Thinking that nintendo was going to reveal the switch successor in the first quarter. Now, it seems more and more likely that it's not going to be revealed to the fourth quarter, maybe even 1st Quarter of 2025. That becomes a problem when all you do is talk about nintendo first party proper games. It does come down to a lack of adapting. Especially since the leaker environment has cooled a bit. Not to mention sony and microsoft are taking it easy as well.
I'd say the lack of interest isn't impacting only Nintendo fans/CZcamsrs. I feel everything's been flat across the board. A weird year in general, to be honest. I'm sure more exciting times are ahead.
We can also include Emio. It’s indeed much more niche, but it’s also the newest entry in the Famicom Detective Club series in around 30 years. That’s quite something.
In my opinion the entire atmosphere of Nintendo's hype being low is due to there being no EPD developed games currently revealed. Yeah we've got a fair number of games coming out, some of which will be multi-million sellers. But they will never be as big as the games made by Nintendo of Japan in their EPD teams. The last 7 years we've had usually multiple games from EPD to really look forward to while the other teams are keeping the lineup consistent. This is the first time in a long time that we have no look at any of Nintendo's upcoming main AAA games. And that's all going to change of course once we do see the Switch 2 and we see Nintendo's next gen games that truly operate at the huge budget PS4-Pro level. Anyways wake me up when the switch 2 is revealed 😴

I think it's smart for Nintendo to outsource more of their first party games rather than just all let EPD develop their games. Many have thuse word misconception of a company must buy vg devs in order to make games for them, which is not true at all.
12:20 ...not quite.. there is still Pokemon Legends ZA which is a big one... there's also some mildly interesting third party stuff for Switch this holiday like Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Horizon Lego Adventures.. I also think more is going to get announced for Switch for next year... like maybe a new 2D Kirby game, a Fire Emblem remake.. there is still plenty of options when it comes to software to keep the Switch kicking even after Switch 2 releases, as I believe the system will continue to get support in 2025... Mario's 40th anniversary is next year as well, I expect a 40th anniversary Mario direct in March of next year... maybe Super Mario Galaxy 2 HD gets announced as a standalone release for base Switch and a new 3D entry is shown off as the killer app launch game for Switch 2... either way... Switch at minimum will pass up the DS next year to become Nintendo's best selling gaming device of all time... PS2 I believe is still in it's sights as well...

There are many reasons for the downturn in interest, many of which were explained by you, but ultimately, it's not a surprise it's coinciding with the twilight years of the switch. I also believe that this is the calm before the storm. Nintendo is preparing for the next generation, and even though everyone is waiting for the eventual announcement of the successor, I still believe that there are still a few more Switch titles that will be announced and released before then!
The first half of the year was really slow imo however the lineup coming up is really exciting but that’s just me. Overall it’s been a light year for Nintendo so I agree and switch2 has to be around the corner soon

Nintendo focused on handheld and niche games this year. Sony barely brought up anything new and exciting and Microsoft is restructuring and shutting smaller studios. It's not a great year for gaming, and the issue is how to keep the youtube algorithm happy when there's not a hype cycle in 2024. Feels like a transitional year. IMO this year might have been better to do a backlog dive and or look back to games people missed out. Maybe dig up a sleeper hit and with some luck-built excitement. Sort of like Among Us, became more well known a year or two after it came out.
I just wish Nintendo would physically rerelease some of those old Metroid Mangas he're in the US we're Metroid is actually popular, like they did with most of the Zelda Mangas, I mean surely the Metroid series has both sold and is popular enough for that by now hasn't it?

Many are turning to Super Chats to make any decent money. Although, I did look up the channels you named and I'm not really seeing a big slow down year-over-year. Down from "E3" hype season... yeah...So its likely a seasonal thing. Interestingly, the channels you happened to mention all just so happen to be channels I've left because I didn't like their more recent content. So there's also something of a quality factor involved. (edit: More specifically, they've all started childish gimmicks in order to trick the algorithm and its just not working the way they hoped.)

We've seen epic AAA games like stellar blade, black monkey wukong, silent hill 2, monster hunter wilds, tekken8, methapor refantazio, expeditions 33, gta6, ff16, kojima walking simulator 2, astrobot the mario killer and many others while Nintendo games are looking like they were made during Wii era. Graphics matter the most in this new gen era of gaming and it's freaking Sad people hate Nintendo kiddie games so much.
