    • @Doogel20
      @Doogel20 Před rokem +1

      @Volleyball Source 2.0 12.5.2 "A player or a group of players of the serving team make(s) a screen by waving arms, jumping or moving sideways during the execution of the service, or by STANDING GROUPED, in order that both the service hit and the flight path of the ball are hidden until the ball reaches the vertical plane of the net." makes no reference to excluding jump serves from the rule but go off. 0:55 , 2:34 , 3:18 are perfect examples from FIVB diagram of what constitutes screening. But forget point of arguing whats letter of the law and isnt, they and we all know what they're doing. Just own it vs calling people pointing it out whiners.

    • @Moopse101
      @Moopse101 Před rokem +6

      @@Doogel20 I'm not really invested in this conversation either way, but the rule you just referenced states "...in order that both the service hit and the flight path of the ball are HIDDEN until the ball reaches the vertical plane of the net". These guys are making contact with the ball well above the height of the net and the players standing there. I would probably think that's why it's allowed for them to stand grouped like so.

    • @matts5799
      @matts5799 Před rokem

      @@Moopse101 I could be wrong but I believe vertical plane of the net is where the ball is crossing the net. Like when players get called for being over the net it's because they are breaking the vertical plane of the net.
