- Journey 11 stories underground to explore one of eight deep-level shelters that exist below the streets of London.
Opened to the public in July 1944, Clapham South deep-level shelter has over a mile of subterranean passageways that reveal the extraordinary stories of those who sheltered here, from Londoners seeking refuge during the Second World War, to hopeful Caribbean migrants arriving on the Empire Windrush, and even thrifty visitors to the Festival of Britain.
This is a re release version where a problem person who started to come out on explores with us but then in a schitzo flipout deicded to start trolling and attacking myself and a number of other explorers and youtubers and making threats and false accusations so we have taken all the videos down with said person in and WILL NOT BE NAMING THEM. It then turns out that it is highy likely this person has been reponsible for thefts and arsons of explore sites and direct thtreats to destroy additional sites were given by this person which forced us to have to report all of this to the police We then re-edited these titles so that this person is blurred out and we do not hear any speech from them. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THIS PERSONS NAME IN THE COMMENTS otherwise COMMENTS WILL BE DELETED. We do not want to give oxygen to this person. Thanks for your understanding.

Matt, brilliant work. I used to live near the site and saw the entrance most days. Hope you are well. Best wishes, Paul in Lower Boddington
That's an amazing place, Would love to do a tour & watch that old war time video on the screen. Great job as usual Matt, All the best. 👍👍
you can its a museum, google hidden london.
@@redfoxxz1536 Cool, Tanx a lot but im From Dublin, Ireland.
Just come back from a little Nature Conservancy stroll, having had to say repeatedly, "You're in my shot." I can imagine you grumbling at the editor, get out of my shot! I will say selfishly, it was great to have your explore all to myself even though I'll always look for Angel grinning at me through the lens. Of all the explores I've watched, this location gave me the creeps. Too shiny. 😱👍
Thanks for another amazing video like always 👍but I didn't expect to see your old buddy the elevator technion but still an excellent video thanks
Good explore Matt. My condolences to you, for your friend Robert.
They block parts of the tunnels off so you're left with the visible part of the bunkers. That why, when explorers go visit they're happy that they've found, with what they've gone looking for. They get to make a nice video of it and don't go back. All the while the real hidden vault is behind the bricked up door ways, with more secret entrances.
please elaborate!
The bricked up door ways link to the London Underground 🚊 tube tunnels that’s all nothing else.
@@WILLZE and secret tunnels
Don’t be so mysterious, this is a museum, and you know it. Tours can be booked through Eventbrite.
That place is ace, but a bit scarey thought of why it's being kept so pristine and in working order, makes you think what our sly government are up to. That mercury plasma ball thing working is an amazing thing to see xx
Matt I do hope you wern't responsible for the damage to the doors and breaking in.
I have seen that place before on other videos, but I'm more than happy to watch another one because it's that cool of a place.
This was great to see mate I lived Battersea most my life and never new where that was and still dnt lol
Good work fella again.😉👍 Just to add makes u think for such an old place it still looks like fresh paint on the walls in places?.
Its amazing how good the condition is
Especially considering how old the place is
Awesome footage. Thanks a lot
He is still in the video at 47:20

Evening Matthew just wondered if you’re going to go back and do the other island in the Bristol channel
Yes for sure
I'm getting hungry where's the chow hall? That light bulb gadget must be really old? How would they feed people in those tunnels?
Crazy nuclear bunker that. Just goes to show you what's under our feet.
I really wish you would stop bringing people that you can't show their face. It's just because it ruins the video can't see what your filming at times. It gets very aggravating my friend. I know you're probably saying well don't watch it then LOL. Of course I'm going to watch. Just make it less aggravating right on dude love your work😂
Message understood but if they dont want their faces seen I have to respect that.
Great job getting rid of scumbag thugs and low life’s 🇬🇧🛸👍👍👍
Make sure the guy who wants to be blurred out is BEHIND you so that its not a 50% blur video.....
Is that the bunker that the Windrush passengers were billeted
Feels a bit wrong entering what is essentially a museum and is a commercial business rather than something that is abandoned
Nobody has been in there for 8 months... i think that qualifies as abandoned.
TheSecretVault No, closed due to Covid more like.
@@eliotmansfield Yes... It's just been revealed on Hidden London Hangouts S6 Ep8 that there was indeed somebody in the day before and it had been broken into, causing £5k damage to the door!
This isn't abandoned like you claim
Has been unused for years.
@@TheSecretVault it's run by the hidden London museum and so you broke in to get in there
Brilliant matt its very impressive
