@@Declanmaceircc Actually it is a biblical comment, which I guess if you are Catholic might be considered Protestant, since Catholics are discouraged from reading the Bible and encouraged to only read the teachings of the mother church and her traditions. I do know some Catholics though who do read the Bible and would understand it as being a reference therefrom.

"Rome never changes" is not in the bible. Nor are Catholics discouraged from reading the bible, this is again a protestant misconception. The Bible was preserved by monks of the Catholic Church and translated by a member of the One Holy Roman Catholic and Apostolic Church, St Jerome. The belief in "Sola Scriptura" which most protestants hold to is not scriptural. I would ask any protestant to say where in the bible the bible tells us it is the sole source of God's revelation? I ask this as a rhetorical question because it does not make any such claim.
I am making a point of these things because it is my duty as a Catholic to defend the church, including, sadly, from the scandal that this pope is causing.

Not only learning dates, chronology and genres of literature used, but also anthropology, history, philology, and archeology that are directly Scripture centric and only scripture centric. And the only explanation I’ve have really gotten is that the people who see a serpent’s head are looking for it and therefore are stricken with pareidolia.
