Good ol' Lucky Bags - a source of disappointment for young children since the 1970's! Today we cast an eye over four of them - two generic, one DC Comics flavoured and one consisting entirely of items to do with Celtic Football Club for some reason. What's in these things nowadays? (And six years ago as a couple of them are hideously out of date?) And how long does it take us to come to the conclusion that there's not much lucky about them really?
We get a crazy mish-mash of fake tattoos, crap stickers, rotten sweets and even weaponry! What a time to be alive.

I've never actually seen those chalk tablets go to rot. I figured they were the sort of junk that would last forever. Very educational video today.
Same I think I have a few still wrapped and they aren't physically rotten but probably taste gross by now.
It's the ones from that particular continent that rot..... if you happen to be on the left continent(Americas) ours don't rot because it's not natural sugar....... It's the highly synthetic stuff they got by studying bird saliva

虎 does indeed mean tiger. 拳 technically means fist, but it's also used in the name of various fighting styles, where it's sometimes translated as "boxing". Ie 醉拳, which is probably most commonly referred to as "Drunken Fist" in English, but sometimes as "Drunken Boxing" as well.
Feels weird to see 拳 on its own translated as "boxing" though.

@@johnnyc.3261 It's not really "incorrect", it's more that the character doesn't really mean "boxing" on its own, it can just be used in compound words where it makes sense to translate it as boxing.

The top is more special than it looks - its a tippe-top. It turns itself upside down and keeps spinning, when you spin it on a hard surface. It started turning upside down even on your cardboard. The physics of how it turns upside-down has been the subject of academic study.

When I was a child I really liked temporary tattoos so for me the first bag would have been the best. :) I am not sure why Ashens think that temporary tattoos are not for kids because it is very rare that an adult uses them. :D
Yeah. A fidget spinner of roughly that sort of low quality is at least half the costs worth already. With the crayons and felt tips, that's absolutely worth it alone.

I recently found marmalade that was two years out of date in a cupboard of ours. It was perfectly fine because it was sealed and all that sugar makes it impossible for most things to grow.

These kinds of things all over conventions in the States. However, they're usually massive boxes and cost far more than a dollar.
I have seen some CZcams reviews about those convention boxes. Usually those are really expensive boxes that include an action figure of a character that no-one likes and some cheap tat.
Not gonna lie, 8-year-old me would have loved all this stuff.

I'm still amazed by how popular Five nights at Freddy's is with children, considering the story and difficulty of the games. Its always seemed like a series children would hate.
Americans catch a lot of flack for all the chemicals in our food but at least our candy doesn't go mouldy after just one year out of date. The 20 year old candy in grandma's candy dish is still edible if you can remove a chunk from the fused mass.

Ok but do you really intend to eat sweets you’ve had sat in your garage for a year? Mouldy or not that is essentially only a habit that Ashens partakes in. Chemicals or no chemicals you’re supposed to eat them before that point, so I’d take no chemicals.

Remember "lucky bags" from my childhood. They were mostly made by local shops and filled with tat they could not sell otherwise. They were pure magic 🤣 They were ahead of their time though.. same bags for everybody.. no blue bags for boys or pink bags for girls (only genders back then) ..only white paper bags
"Sweet Cred" is most likely a play on "Street Cred," a largely American term referring to a reputation of legitimacy in a poverty-stricken area and/or blue collar crime.
Thats what I take it to mean too, OR "I got some sweet cred", as in my cred is "sweet".
I've seen a range of poundland sweets he's tried before called Sweet Cred though.

When i was a child, i was gifted a toy gun, it was a bit better than this one, it was black, and had a proper clip for the ammo, but the ammo was round like this one but from hard plastic, and they were red circles, and the gun could pack 20 of them in the clip, for a long long time, this was my most treasured treasure, that amazing gun, i would shoot everyone with it, and they didn't mind, because it wasn't sharp and pointy like the normal toy guns, and let us admit, it was the 80s, my kid brother had a rifle that shoots 1 bullet that was like 60 cm tall and would impale a small child , so this was a blessing next to that one...thanks ashens for reminding me of that toy gun....wish i remember how and when was the last time i used it and then moved on with life....

with the "sweet cred" lettering on the foam gun, the same lettering and logo can be seen in an older video in which he reviews 2 mini microwave pizzas, and also talks about marshmallow animals, which have the sweet cred lettering on them. so "sweet cred" seems to be a brand. and reading through comments, one user said that it should come with candy in the handle which further backs this up.
