Interesting ! I'm trying to solve a problem on my 940 AC. Compressor switches on and off every 10 s despite charging (may be not enough charging though), but also I hear some whistling in the cabin everytime the compressor switches on (any idea of the problem ?). What I don't get in your video, is how come the evaporator just comes out by simply pulling on it, do you not need to disconnect from the circuit somewhere ? (not shown in the video) ?

Step 2 at the beginning of the video is disconnect evap lines. Since you are unsure of the amount of freon in the system I would recommend recovering and pulling a vacuum, if the leak test passes fill to the correct amount and go from there.

How did you undo the pipes on the engine bay side? Mine are seized and won't come loose.

How did you find out it was the evaporator that was the problem with the a/c? Is that the common issue on these cars?

It had a small leak, I don't know how common it is.
