    Great work! What is the appropriate scale to use with this chords ?

      D major for the A section. But I think of it as D| D | Em | A7| Em |A7| D| A7 and solo in terms of chord tones or arpeggios. The melody has D and B over the D chord. The B is the 6 in a Dmaj6 so that sounds nice. The melody has an A and F# over the Em A7 chords so for the Em you can use Esus4 or sus2 ideas. F# gives A6 sounds so that is nice there.
      For the B section I think of it as D7| D7|G| G|E7|E7|A7|A7 or perhaps Am| D7|D7| G|E7|E7|A7|A7. You could think G maj for the first half. I like E9 and A9 sounds on the second half. You could use pentatonics scales of E and A.
