full credit to you ,this is superb,as are all that you do,to bring everyone some joy, thanking you
Thank you Rita 😊
I've only just found your CZcams channel, and am enjoying the building scenics, as this is an area I know I am weak in. Electrics, wiring and interlocking, no problem, but scenery, I haven't got a clue. I've learnt so much already from these first two videos, so looking forward to catching up with the rest of the series.
Thank you for watching. I started the hobby in 2019 so a relative newbie with lots to learn!
Eventually I’ll venture onto a diorama after a possible move.. excellent videos for tutorials on scenery.. thanks
Thanks Ed and good luck with the move.
Not only is your work superb, you've got a tranquil voice as well :-) Rgds, Joachim
Thank you so much Joachim 😊
VERY impressed with your thoroughness and attention to detail AND willingness to share, in an easy to follow way, the steps required to achieve that magnificent final outcome. I shall hopefully watch the next episode tomorrow evening, BUT for now, it's back to Headingley for Day 5!
Thanks Mark, I enjoyed this part of the build (it all goes downhill after this!!)
Another excellent video, also watching it is a great relaxing end to the week!
Thank you! 😊
Nicely done, Andy. That resin pour went really smooth. Loved the bit on seafoam gardening, very instructional. Looking forward to the next installment.
All the best to you.
Cheers.
Thank you! 👍🏻
It's looking beautiful, and very helpful video.
Thanks Brad 👍🏻
Thanks another great video much appreciated all the best Carl in Pembrokeshire 👍
Thank you so much Carl, I really appreciate it 😊
Amazing, such a transformation, really enjoying following this.
Thanks very much David, I’m glad you are enjoying it 😁
Looks absolutely fantastic!
Thanks David!
Wonderful work. You have given me some ideas for the small lake / river on my layout(s). Your videos are a joy to watch. Thank you for making them.
Thanks very much Brian. Good luck with your river.
Thanks for uploading this. It’s giving me ideas and inspiring me to get building
You’re welcome and thanks for watching. Good luck with your build 👍🏻
Excellent video, with very impressive results.
Thanks Phil
that is coming along very nicely great video
Thanks Anthony
Wow, two quality tutorials in one, model railway / diorama making, and mini-horticulture! Thanks again, for a very inspiring tutorial.
Thanks very much Dave! 😊
After 40 years, I still can’t get scenery to look as good as that
Thank you Vince. I’m sure your scenery looks fantastic but as modellers, we all tend to be very self critical.
Nice job , the river is superb
Thanks Jack
amazing to see the progress.
Thank you 👍🏻
Terrific as always 🎉
Thank you! 👍🏻
Looks amazing, Thank you.
Thank you 😊
Absolutely love it, well done! I think chuck a tiny bit of poly fibre here and there under the trees to break up the woodland floor and it would break up the horizon line when viewing from low down.
Thanks Ed 👍🏻
Bravo!
Thanks Mitchell!
OMG again you made a wonderful video of a spectacular diorama. I wonder, are you more a modeler or a photographer. Either way they are both fantastic. When you photograph them I swear they look like a real shot. I will admit that I am right there with you on photos. My goal in life when younger was to be a photo journalist but life took hold and that was that. I do however have a bit of training in wielding a camera around. LOL Have a great day and week.
Tim
Thanks very much Tim. I don’t know anything about photography but just manage to get lucky with some of the angles!! Photography must be a nice hobby so I hope you get some time you get back into it.
Fantastic. 👏👏👏
Thanks Rod! 😊
Andy, that is brilliant mate, you make it look nice and simple which I guess in many ways it is. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I’ve bought some sea foam seeds and I’m going to have a go at growing them I’ll see how I get on!
Looking forward to the next episode, cheers for now, John
Thanks very much John. I look forward to seeing how you get on with the seafoam as gardening isn’t my strong point!!
well, as much as I don’t mind gardening these seem a little finicky in terms of how to keep them, but fingers crossed we’ll see Andy🤞🏼
Great video Andy. Always makes me nervous watching resin pours. Got several to do on my layout as I haven’t gone for it yet 😅
Thanks Dan. I know exactly what you mean - it’s always a bit nerve wracking!! Good luck with your resin pour 👍🏻
Another masterclass in scenic modelling! Looks so realistic. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much Alex
New to your channel - fabulous work and I enjoy your presentation style and informative commentary!
Thanks Patrick, much appreciated
The perfect way to end a Sunday evening! Clear explanation of what's going on, soothing music that's nicely in the background and some useful tips. And as always, a very realistic result at the end.
Thanks Ian 😊
Loving this series
Thank you very much Christopher
Fantastic work, looks great.
Thank you 👍🏻
Another splendid diorama, the work on the vegetation and the water effects are just awesome!
Thanks Phil! 😀
Thank you for the video, great work so far! Quite an enjoyable watch.
Thank you 😊
Top notch magic again.... Well done. Have you ever tried clear Acrylic 3mm sheet as water (with painted underside). You can still `Mod Podge' the surface. I saw millions of pounds worth of resin there...Lol.....All the best
Thanks Martin. I haven’t tried the acrylic sheet before but it has to be cheaper than this method!! 😂
The speaker's storytelling abilities are truly captivating. 📖
Thank you
The transformation from Ep01 to Ep02 is mind blowing. Superb realism. Bravo 👏
Thank you! 😊
Great video and tutorial of this new diarhama! You're just a natural at doing this. I'm amazed everytime I watch your videos! Your attention to detail is always Spot On! Thanks again for sharing your videos with us along with your PRICELESS time and effort! Cheers from Delmar, Delaware USA!
Thank you Shawn 😊
This is turning out great so far! I love watching it evolve. Keep up the excellent work 😁
Thanks very much Chris 😁
Magnificent work Sir !
Thank you! 😁
@@robinsweet7170 I joined RMweb earlier today! I need to find out how it works but that's a great idea - thanks 🙂
@@DartsideScenics So I saw and I've started following you.😀
@@robinsweet7170 thanks Robin. I have followed you (I think!). I need to spend some time on there to find my way around.
You're such a wonderful fresh breath of air! I love your presentation, your style of communication, and how cool all those guitars are! Look at them all! I assume you're using someone's background audio, which is copyright protected...if so... I say....play & share some of your own music! Although, now that i think of it...I can't recall if I've heard this b4... I'd love to know if we are listening to YOU & your own guitar playing! The dioramas LOOKS FANTASTIC & COMIN ALONG WONDERFULLY!!!!
LORRIE
HOUSTON TEXAS, USA
Thanks Lorrie. Yes, it is my music in the background. I’m hoping to get some time in the future to record better versions.
Wow, I am amazed by how easy you make this seem. It's incredible to see the scene come alive like this!
Thanks Thomas 😁
¡Hola buenas tardes! Some excellent scenic engineering and plenty of tips and clear explanations for other modellers to use in developing their own scenic skills. After watching you older seafoam tree growing video, this year I plan to go down the self-cultivating road - wish me luck! Stay safe and well. Un saludo. Gary
Thanks Gary! Good luck with growing the seafoam! 👍🏻
Not only modelling but also gardening! Great that you're growing your own trees. I've also used a few dried seed heads from my garden for trees on my model railroad. The layout is coming along nicely!
Thank you! 👍🏻
Very nice indeed, the resin looks outstanding.
Thank you!
Stunning! Not really much more to say Andy. ❤️
Thanks very much Craig! 😊
Hi Andy, another one of your masterpieces comes to life ! Yet again, a perfect landscape in model form. Really nice work, I'll be following your model railway journey.
I had some great success growing seafoam in 2021, I still have a huge box of it left ready for future projects. All the best.........Andy
Thanks very much Andy. Well done on the seafoam - I’m hoping to do a thorough job this year and grow as much as possible!!
nice job mate! I cant wait for the full and final result. I've always loved the SDR as it was the railway I first visited after lockdown. Such a beauty. Hope you have fun with this layout
Thank you. I agree, the SDR is fantastic!
This is so amazing how perfect the scene your creating is so dead on realistic of the prototype scene you've chosen!
Thanks Lorrie
Nice video 👍
Thanks Daniel.
This is another great work of art! Well done! Can you do diorama of Runkel Castle and Alte Lahnbrücke (Limburg)? Or somethign special the Weilburger Schifffahrtstunnel or he Diorama of a bucket-wheel excavator. Or a diorama under earth. A cave or doing Mining Diorama?
Thank you! I had a look at those locations and they would all make great dioramas. A mining diorama is something I have wanted to do for a while, most likely a Cornish tin mine.
@@DartsideScenics i subscribed. Yes, with the English Channel in the background would be great! Have you ever tought about a Diorama with a smal lake or a river freezed? Ice? That would be no match for you i am sure. I asume you have got a large room where you store all you fnished diorama works. I have other lots of ideas! Trajan's Bridge, was possibly one of the longest bridge in the roman empire. If not the longest bridge. Caesar's bridges across the Rhine, made just out of wood. Or aqueducts like Pont du Gard. Aqueduct of Segovia. Aqueduct of Valens and Aqua Alexandrina. And something special, a ruined medieval bridge which is today jus tin half, the Pont Saint-Bénézet.
@@aka99 Wow, loads of great ideas! I have a long list of dioramas I would like to make but at the moment I am putting everything into making this layout.
@@DartsideScenics of course. will it be your largest diorama then so far?
@@aka99 Yes, it will be approximately 50ft (or 15 meters) when it's finished and all joined up!
i grow my own trees with the seafoam
Awesome 🌳
Looks superb. Do we call you Monty Don now?
Thanks Andrew! I'm happy with that - I've been called a lot worse!
Great stuff - have you considered picking up twigs in autumn for use as trees ?
Thanks David. Yes, thyme is my favourite and as my gardening is fairly poor, there are usually lots of twigs to choose from!
