Someday, I buy a 2024 BMW 5-series sedan.
For me, the BIGGEST deal-breaker is the loss of physical HVAC/climate controls; I just can't fathom taking my eyes off the road to fiddle with the climate controls on the screen. I'm glad I bought my 2023, the G30, in its final year with the physical buttons.

What a ridiculous statement. So I guess you never turn the music station, look at your phone, or check the navigation in your current car? It takes all of 3 seconds to adjust any HVAC controls. Grow up.

A perfect BMW sedan doesn't use mostly plastic engine parts and is much more reliable, for starters.
The performance of the 4 cylinder is impressive! The B58 is a must for me though...

I don’t know why people say this is a poor design. The car is very nice in my opinion. It’s different and doesn’t follow the style of the E-class. I love both this 5 series and the E class and I don’t agree the merc looks better. It’s just different

Are the slats just painted on the front grill? The top especially looks that way.
At those prices the 5 series should have the 6-cylinder engine as standard. Stick with the 3 series.

I might be in the minority but I like the look of this new car a lot. The other one was so generic. It was not special. This has presence. Same with the 7 Series. I also like the iX. The X5 is a very handsome vehicle with very well balanced proportions but the iX is unique and not ugly at all. What I am not happy about is the new interiors. I have loved BMW interiors since the 1970s. I don't mind the screen but I would integrate the screens into the car more and perhaps the controls on a vertical screen to almost mimic the driver focus on old. Then give the passenger their own controls

I'm not so sure on the rear of the vehicle. Or the front-end end I'm going to have to see the vehicle in person. However I will say the interior is wayy better

2024 BMW 530i xDrive M Sport Package Sedan!
This is a hit and miss which overall makes me like the last gen more. This looks like it got more plastic which is a turn off for a car that's over 60k and not having exposed exhaust is also a turn off. Idk I do like the ambient lighting and new screen but that's about it tbh
nah the base previous 5 series already had a bunch of plastic.
BMW is able to manufacture all drivetrains on one production line. They can easily and affordably adjust the trim mix easily.

Too much focus on trying to be sleek resulting in a cheap look. The answer isn’t to just throw a big screen in it and call it luxury. There’s no design, just no soul. Prior gen is better aesthetically as expected.
The exterior design is slowly growing on me. At first I thought it was too boxy like a Volvo s90 but now ok

I do like the front but the side profile and rear doesn’t look right for some reason…the side profile looks very odd like a Japanese sedan

This is a great looking sedan. Very clean lines, both interior and exterior and a classic front grille. Congratulations, BMW!

That big, black lip-like below the grill doesn’t flow. It should be smaller and sit lower. Overall, it’s not a design that many will be attracted to at that price point in my opinion. Better options available.

You are blocking the best parts of your rolling shots with that big red banner. There has to be another way to do that without blocking the entire car while it's rolling.

The side profile looks a lot like a current gen Corolla IMO.That said,I love the traditional looking front end! What the hell were they thinking designing the 7 series?! Yuck 🤮 I’ll take this over the 7 series or the E class any day! I’d also go with the turbo inline six to keep it traditional..
It doesn't look anything like a corolla, it looks like a traditional 5 series, the looks of the car are growing on me, I'm liking it more, the more I see it.
7 series still looks better nonetheless, its overall proportions look better than the overstyled 5 series, and oh not to mention the ugly rear and front overhang of the 5 pisses me off, coming from a G30 owner and 2 gens of S classes

@@conoconnor4375 well its like comparing the 2 series coupe (G42) to the 3 series (G20), like the 2 series, the 5 series is massive overstyling although it has the normal grill, and 7 series has the Rolls Royce kinda presence especially the boxy front profile predominantly the headlights and the grille design as well, also to say the least the new S class doesn't look any better, better in a sense thats boring and bland like a Tesla then that is

nah man 7 series proportionally is better looking, a split headlights and big grille tells you its a 7 series, this 5 series looks like a mashup of a Accord front end with a BMW grille and Camry rear end, hard pass for me, G30 elegance is hard to beat

“Ultimate Driving Machine” more like “Ultimate Tech Machine”. I’m never selling my 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sports Wagon, with the wonderful 6 speed Manual. If I do end up needing to sell, I’ll be buying a Porsche. BMW has lost its way..
Tons of high gloss black plastic, cheap looking un integrated screens, different colored back middle headrest, and horrible exterior styling are just some of this cars faults
I’d say the 3 series is one of the only modern BMW’s I still like

Disagree with you on that, I've test driven an m-sport 520i and the interior is actually very high quality, it's as good if not slightly better than the previous one.
The hood is so thick near the windshield. The rear trunk is too slanted, the overall profile is awful. It looks bad compared to the current 5 series. The nose is worse than the current M3/M4 deaign, which I started to like. The interior is fine, just need to ditch that glossy piano black
What a weird ass looking 5-Series. Too tall and bulky from the front, almost FWD proportions which are just a total sin for a 5-Series. It only looks good if you look at the top half of the car. The only thing has going for it is that it's mildly less ugly on the road.
Guys, your videos are great, but the driving scenes are totally BLOCKED the red box you're putting up when listing the features of the car. Find a different way to list the features while not blocking the running footage of the car.

Already issues with the electronic… don’t like the sharp corners or the screens. I use to love the 5 series. I think all these Evs need to do more because they are all almost the same. The refinement and ultimate driving machine to me it’s gone! I don’t care for the games it is about performance luxury and really don’t see it. I will stick to the old 2104 5 m series

Dashboard and CID are NOT 5 series at all. No difference between other BMW models
I got out the flaming hot sauce to watch this video. People gotta start taking these review cars on roads where the majority of Americans live, it's called the northeast and Midwest. Their are pot holes and no new cats do well with potholes anymore, they ride like junk, but my old 86 Caprice didn't suck. So what's up with cars.

Don't you mean a "big dose of sh*t" ? It's the worst looking BMW ever made, lacking any sporty or elegant lines. And the high rear end is atrocious. Was it designed in China for the Chinese market.
