    Why would it show an error where it should say brake when I am trying to do a regeneration for diesel particulate filter while standing?

      Mine was doing the same thing you have to enter the security ode every time. Has worked for me since.

    How do you enable the regen function. When your spot load measured is zero? What makes it go up to make it not error out during a regen?

    I just ordered my Hex V2 tool and downloaded the software. I'm wondering if this is going to raise the coolant temperature when I perform this fix?

      Just normal coolant temp should be seen
      Same as when it does a regen while driving

      Try in VCDS Options at User Interface and Identification to fill in all the Workshop fields. This is also needed to code for example a new injector

    What temp in celcius does the coolant need to be to force the regen, the car I’m in doesn’t have a temp gauge

      I’d have it at normal operating temp
      90c aprox

      Man wasn’t expecting quick reply, but I’m trying to do force regen and each time it gives me a green light and says abort. But I’m trying to do the regen to hopefully get the egr cleared out

    You Can Regenerations Be Done with a OBD2 Scan Tool (Snap on, Matco)

      Yes it’s available for pc
      If u google Ross tech or vcds you’ll find it
      I’m not sure if Snapon or Matco scan tools can do it I’ve never looked for the option on them

    PLEASE HELP!
    Using " Carista"
    Car is in limp mode.
    Took out my dpf last week, sent it off to a legit company to get it cleaned, soot levels stayed the same "57%" before and after cleaning.
    Can I still preform a stationary regeneration using carista? Or I've no more options?

    2) If DPF clogged due to high altitude driving (here in South America), does the oil need to be changed due to pollutants getting recycled?

    I took my 2015 passat into the dealer after it went onto limp mode. They tried a regeneration to no avail. They said there was too much soot and I would need a new Dpf at a cost of $3000. Is there any way around this besides a new dpf or dpf delete?

      Use caustic tfr. It can be done on the car or take it off and clean it. Will need to rinse well and give the car a good run at fairly high rpm for a while after.

    If I try, I can’t see the measure blocks (stays light gray) if I ask for the security code, he doesn’t give me any, if I try yours, it says “code accepted”, the I have to press the brake pedal and the accelerator, then it always abort “for safety reasons” in green….

      Your engine temp has to be @ 90 degree Celsius...

      @ER Automotive thanks for the quick reply. I was wondering because while on the highway today it threw a p0101 p0102 and p2463 excessive soot. As soon as I clear they come right back. I'm at a loss at the moment.

      Does the car have any warranty left ?
      As the warranty was extended
      If so I’d just take it to the dealer and let them deal with it
      If not see if u can force the regen by either use of vcds or driving on highway under the conditions to get the car to automatically do the regen

      @ER Automotive no warranty left. Just got around 125000 on it. Supposedly the dpf was replaced just after I bought it I took it for other codes amd haven't had trouble since. Thanks for the help. I tried a parked regen and it comes up with abort 33. I'll try a driving one as soon as I can.

      You know, it sure does say Breaks and 10 times. So I push the Break 10 times. At the same time it says Throttle after pressing the breaks. And it's like, ok which one?
      Then something happened when I just pressed and held the break, it said to release it. So I did, then it indicated I should press the Throttle after that, so I released the break and held the throttle. Suddenly, it started to show temp data and also said to release the Throttle. And it started up.
      Perhaps it's 10 break presses, then a Break press and hold. Until it says release, then it's a Throttle hold until it says release at the same time it switches over to Temp measure and regen mode starts after releasing the Throttle as it said to.🎉

      It commands a Dpf regen to take place
      Useful for people who do a lot of city driving and have a “clogging” dpf

      @@ERAutomotive I havent done much highway driving(mayb 20min at a time) n my car (2012 Jetta TDI Manual trans) just went into limp mode. Car shudders n glow plug light blinks once wen I hit 4th gear. No other lights illuminated n the glow plug light only flashes once wen it shudders. After turning the car off n back on its fine until I once again hit about 4th gear n it again flashes once, shudders, limp mode. Im not getting the DPF light or check engine light.Of course I dont have a scanner anymore and the dealership is booked until the 1st. Hoping its not anything really big.

      @@ERAutomotive yes, I’m having trouble with making it go from off to on. Then the sequence it’s asks me to press the clutch in and step on brakes 10 times. Before I get to that point I’m asked to full throttle then get an error message. It’s probably user error. Although I look at the readings and my soot level is way low but still get a regen needed code. This car is kicking me up and down

      If soot level is low then shouldn’t need regen
      Also soot level is a prerequisite for the regen to occur i believe
