- We use 18-Day Shivansh Fertilizer to enrich our land at ALL of our farms in India.
Thousands of piles have been made by our team in villages throughout India, to teach small plot farmers to get reliable, organic crop yields. Farmers have seen the same abundant results on their own infertile crop land as we have.
To get an idea of what our crops yields are like, please follow us on social media.

***The video is long but it’s repetitive nature is meant to show how simple it is to learn.
Machines can do a lot of work but where are they going to get the money to buy these items if nobody has a job. The company has created jobs for those people and I can see from the video they are all very happy to be working on the farm rather than being unemployed with a Masters degree.
Fer sure dood. Squeezing cow shit bare handed is totally life affirming.
True 😊
The system we use in Canada is 3 bins together and moving the material from one to another bin. This fence material seems high, would it not be easier at 122 cm, this one looks to be 152 cm. Make it a little more user friendly, after all turning a pile is a bit of work for most folk. That compost is like gold to me 👍. Great job on educating people.
What kind of bins do you use? Plastic or metal? Did you drill holes on the side? I would love to know more about what you did.
@@SimplyDBee Similar to what you are doing. You want to get air into the center of the pile. Stand a 4 inch pvc pipe or what ever kind of material it's made from in the center. Make sure your pipe is perferated. Wet the pile slightly and cover it wit a tarp, you want to keep the rain off.
The way I do it now since moving to Borneo, is to make a trech and bury it. It decomposes in a shorter time frame. Also won't find any venomous snakes in my pile.🐍
Where are you located?
@@Borneodaya I'm in the Caribbean. I'm now going to start using some metal bins to try a different way. What I have done in the past was to make piles and leave it to rot. I see the general comments about the amount of work that went into this composting method in this video. I , too, am looking for an easier method. I think I just set up enough bins and leave them to rot as I use municipal grass clippings, rabbit manure and urine, cardboard, shredded paper and food waste, I have a decent flow of compost. What do you think?
I'll definitely try to get something in the middle as you stated to get air flow within the pile.
I love how they treat hay and grass with rake but manure with bare hands
Appreciate you observing and pointing it out :-)
I remember using a similar technique popularized by Sir Albert Howard. They called it the Indore method. I chipped up 60 bags of leaves and made beautiful compost in a short time. I think normally figured 2 weeks.
I like this technique because with the covering you keep the nutrients more contained. Mine had steam going off, and I lost nutrients that way. A very thorough video. Not sure of temp. I tried not going over 120°. I do remember sifting and mixing with my fork as they did. That was a dance all to itself.
Happy composting, everyone!!

Thank you for your appreciation of our work. Decomposition occurs most rapidly during the thermophilic stage of composting (40-65°C), which
lasts for several weeks depending on the size of the system and the composition of the ingredients. This stage is important for destroying heat sensitive pathogens, fly larvae and other pests, and weed
seeds. These compost pests, pathogens and weed seeds survive the thermophilic stage by moving to the periphery of the pile or becoming dormant. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that
to achieve a significant reduction of pathogens during composting, the compost should be maintained at minimum operating conditions of 40°C for five days, with temperatures exceeding 55°C for at least four hours of this period. Most species of microorganisms cannot survive at temperatures above 60-65°C, so compost managers turn or aerate their systems to bring the temperature down if they begin to get this hot.
I understand that rather than simply NPK it is the good microbes and fungi in this aerobic process that make soil come alive.
Thks for supporting poor farmers
Gracias por el video ahora lo tengo mas claro, lo haré en mi jardín pero en versión más pequeña y justo tengo la malla de cuadrado mas pequeño. Estoy ☺ gracias.
Superb Method. Hats off to these guys and this technique. Liked it very much and will try surely.
Very neat and systematic. The shredder helps a lot. I don't have a shredder but I keep using a rod to crush and mix up my leaves and vegetable waste. I add buttermilk and jaggery water to hasten up the process.
butter milk? I Saw malaysian prof used curd(home made Dahi)
I do love that chopping device. They are all electric here and I have no electricity on my allotment.

A good way to compost for better farming. Thank you for this video. Will try it in my village.. Maybe, I can help the villagers.
I wrote a instruction so I can check back to make the fertilizer myself. I'll print all information to have it even when I'm not able to watch the video, or the internet is not working. Thank you and best wishes from Portugal 🌻

Really appreciate your dedication. Please let us know if you need any information from our end. You can write to us at info@shivanshfarming.com
Simple and effective procedure.
Its not at all simple
This is too-much work. Worm composting is easy than this technique !!!! Appreciate the effort.
only green scraps can be worm composted.u would need a lot of worms to produce this much compost and u can't simply put all the stuff above the worm's bedding as it would generate a lot of heat which would kill the worms.
Great Work.. Alot of work to be sure
Wonderful job to c how compost is made step by step. Keep up the good heart of training others.
Thank you. We are doing our bit in bringing the farmers into the fold of chemical-free farming.
@@ShivanshFarming How many liter of water if the pants fill in it?
Very interesting ,educative and helpful video brother s.. Thank lots....
Thank you for your appreciation!
Great Video 👌

Very efective ways of making organic compost even though it takes labourius work,
Thank you. It takes 18 days to make Shivansh Khaad.
Very nice! 😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very informative! Thanks for sharing. Thats a lot of work.
Don't forget, use your hands to break up the cow shit,, don't forget to wash your hands before having your lunch
Great work afaik 18 days is the lowest time, that is possible due to their hard work. I think waiting for 10 more days can help the people who can't do that much turning the pile. btw: 18 days same guys with same cloths 🥴🥴🥴
Yes, we agree! 18 days is not a very long duration in terms of making all-natural compost/fertilizer.
Que maravilloso trabajo en hora buena con tanto cariño trabajan la tierra
Thank you so much for your compliments.
Wow! I'm so glad I found this video. I'm saving it. The best natural fertilizer in only 18 days.
it depends a bit on the climate where you do it, but yes the base principle works even in cold Germany.... I have builded that kind of 'reactors' with less turning, then it takes just longer
Happy to hear about it. Please let us know if you need any information regarding the process.
Salute farmers

Quality content coming out of India my boys! Also love that you all wore collared shirts and nice pants! Keep doing the work gents!
I also want to say, I only assumed India because of the name Shivansh Farming, my apologies if you are from another Hindu country
Thank you so much for your appreciation!
Yes, you guessed it right. This initiative is being carried out in India, with its outreach to various parts of the world, as many people are replicating it across the continents, making it truly global. Our founder is form America though.

Cette méthode est très performant mais nous devons avoir la bouse de vaches ! Nous avons fait différemment en y ajoutant de la chaux sans la bouse de vaches ! Bravo !
Gorgeous compost, black gold 🙏🌱❤️
Thank you for your kind words.
Salute from Australia
Appreciate your support!
Awesome fellows!
Thank you!
Bloody Awesome 👍
Thank you so much!
Good effort for kitchen/terrace gardens. This cannot be done at commercial scale unless you have an army of people or you use a JCB. To enrich the compost you can use gliricidia leaves, bone meal powder. Also I would not turn the compost too many times as it would disturb the microbial activity and too much of temperature ups and downs to the pile.
Additionally, waste decomposer ( National Centre of Organic Farming (NCOF) developed)bacteria solution could be used instead of plain water to speed up the breakdown process.
