She IS the Queen. She sings with so much emotions. Makes me tear up every time I hear this song. ❤❤❤

You paused at an interesting point.
This was Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL.
They have a close-up on him during this part:
"Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo."
(We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.)
Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before this video was released.
As far as what Su was thinking, that's hard to know.
Yui was supposed to perform at this concert, but was unable to appear because of (still unspecified) health reasons.
The introduction just before this song pretty clearly refers to to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts.
DESPAIR 『絶望』
"The bright beam of light
That wiped all light from the world
Also ceased people's light of hope
The skies turned dark
And endless rain fell upon the people
Who had lost all of their light and hope
But endless rain doesn't exist
And the people hope of black skies to clear out
So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost
They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow
And they pray for light of hope to return to them."
No Rain No Rainbow sings about loss, and an endless rain. This was sung in the Hiroshima Green Arena. Su's hometown.
After the bomb struck, Hiroshima endured an endless rain, a black rain. The narration before this song tied it into the bomb, and I have always wondered if the endless rain in the song is a reference.
One of Su's grandparents lived through the bomb. I am not surprised she teared up.
The song is about losing someone.
It's always ordinary people who pay the price for the sins of the rulers and the generals.
@Necroglobule Hiroshima each year uses the moment the bomb was dropped as a reason to remember the horrors of the war and the bomb in particular, but more importantly to make sure it or something similar happens never again. Some of us Babymetal fans actually watch the live stream each year of Hiroshima and do the same. Suzuka has said in the past how important it is to do this for people.
*NO RAIN, NO RAINBOW* (Yamanai Ame / Endless Rain)
Why can't I sleep?
Why does the night end?
I don't want anything, even tomorrow,
the future without you.
Why was I smiling?
Why so though I was feeling lonely?
Nobody knows that I really just
wanted you to be by my side.
Even the despair becomes the light.
Though an endless rain continues to fall.
Even the despair becomes the light.
A sad rain throws a rainbow
far far away.
We shall never meet again,
but I want not to forget you forever.
If the dream continues, I wish I'll never wake up from it.
Why was I smiling?
Why so though I was feeling lonely?
Nobody knows that I really just
wanted to see you. That was all.
Even the despair becomes the light.
Though an endless rain continues to fall.
Even the despair becomes the light.
A sad rain throws a rainbow
even now.
An endless rain fills my heart
forever.

Great Reaction!!! as always Mr. Rock N Roll I hope your back is feeling better.

It's funny when people are surprised she can do this. This is her wheelhouse. She sang songs like this when she was 8. Not exactly like this but solo songs with minimal instrumentation.
How about a hats off to Koba and the team that writes Babymetal songs? They understand how to make a song.
The extreme talent of emotive singer: czcams.com/video/dsh01znxjR4/video.htmlm54s
Maybe the most emotive singer in the world ! One of her biggest talents. :-)
It's one of the ways Babymetal smash the language barrier.
Many would say: No Rain, No Rainbow is inspired by X-Japan Endless Rain.
And some say Endless Rain was inspired by Prince Purple Rain.
And some would say: Guns N Roses November Rain was inspired by Purple Rain and/or Endless Rain.
Big old boisterous teddy bear!!
It's especially sad knowing that this was the first concert Yui missed (and would never return) and the last concert that guitarist Mikio Fujioka would ever play, dying in an accident the next month!
Sue could not have known any of this was to happen, but it's almost as though she sensed it at foretold it in her singing!
Her voices was very moving
Thank you
Such a great song. So Emotional.
I appreciate your re-uploading this. I enjoyed your reaction before so I enjoyed it twice now. Su-Metal's voice comes straight to my heart not only in ballads like this but also in comical songs like "Oh! Majinai!". She has some special talent to deliver her emotion to listeners, like you said. Oh! Just so you know, I saw your reaction to Su / Moa's cameo appearance in "CMFT Must Be Stopped" that makes many people happy. Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。
Genuine reaction. Babymetal would be proud of you.
Babymetal Starlight
I know you shed a tear Mr Rock n Roll. Be well man.
Great to see you keep up with Babymetal! Keep up the great reactions! Praise the fox god!
Our Queen is back home .
“LEGEND S” Live at Hiroshima Green Arena 2017 / この楽曲を聴くたびに、36歳の若さで天に召された藤岡幹大(Mikio Fujioka)さんを思い出す。BMの楽曲に華を添えた素晴らしい人材で時折り見せる泣きの表情が忘れられない。最期のパフォーマンスとなったこの会場でのギタープレイに感動🌙R.I.P.Mikio✨🦊✨
You are hearing the voice that Kobametal heard when Suzuka Nakamoto joined Sakura Gakuin. The tigger to form the Heavy Metal club.
In an interview of Mori, the teacher for Sakura Gakuin, he said that he was among VIP's at a concert the VIP's said that Babymetal only works because of Su's voice. No argument from me.
I hope this pandemic over fast. So we can go to their concert'
Her voice special one, bro. It's very impressive how strong and powerful voice she have...
This reminds me so much of November Rain by Guns N Roses. The piano, the strings, the sweet melody, the epic guitar solos, the word RAIN in the title. Both such amazing songs!
This song right here gets to me though. I just wanna hug her!
R.I.P. Mikio
This show was the last live show with Mikio who died accidentally site seeing and the first show without Yui. The song is about lost love and death.
This entire show was staged and rehearsed including Yui-metal, then performed without Yui, and without reworking the staging. Not entirely hidden from their expressions, this was an unimaginably brave performance powering through the pain and uncertainty to suddenly be without Yui for the first time ever. The end of the last song as the two walk into the blinding light of the doorway to the future, with Yui's spot on the right empty, is so hard to watch.
@None Ya Well said, Kitsune. BABYMETAL found me around the same time as you, and your words hit hard. Just not true at all that new fans don't feel and care about the earlier days, and everyone involved. Sometimes I suspect myself reading in more that is real, but what you share reinforces this has been all too real a true and evolving story of life in this universe that they somehow magically share so directly.
"BABYMETAL is awesome." Yup.
ありがとう!
Great reaction, mans tears all around.
🤘🤘🤘
Hope ya feel better soon.
Glad to see you got this back, it was a great reaction
What gives me the chills here is see Mikio soloing for the last time in a Babymetal concert... then Su singing like this is just like a (now) sad soundtrack for that moment in time... always gets my eyes watery...
I maximised the CZcams player for this reaction. #respect
More babymetal yeah,,,most viewers in your channel is BABYMETAL react
I have told the executor of my will that I want this song played at my funeral. Su is just incredible.
I want Doki Doki Morning then after the breakdown I want them to make my corpse sit up and freak everyone out
@@gothorn2758 when they lie down and pretend to wake up and I want all the mourners to do the ding ding ding part
I thought Babymetal Death would be more appropriate (it's in the title), but has to be with the jumping audience and all. ;-)
They do say things: die like you lived.
One of her best
Angelic voice she have!
crazy timing on this one with the 75 year anniversary of the bombing- who wants to fill him in on the details?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this performance just days before the guitarist died as well?
@@aliengranpa I believe they said Mikio's accident is within three to four weeks of this, then passes away in early January, so this is his last performance on video. Also the first concert without YUI, which can explain Su's Emotions in the song. I have to believe there has to be some heavy emotional weight for her on this song playing in her hometown, which is Hiroshima. I feel like you can relate the lyrics of this song to the generations before them growing up with the ramifications of losing so many people in 1945. I could be reaching here but its hard not to correlate them.
Yes! She is amazing in this song, another song that shows more emotion is the stripped down version of Atkasuki, it’s her and a piano! Epic
Queen Su👏😂
Hey Mr. ! If I am not wrong, you haven't listened to Akatsuki yet. It's a song with heavy music and ballad like vocals, one of the crowd favorites. But there is also a secret version we call "unfinished" where Su sings along a piano with legendary vocals and crying at the end. It chills you iceberg like.
thank you great reaction,👍❗
for us, 😂😂😅 See you !!!! 😊
I love it→zetubou saemo hikari ni naru(Even the despair becomes the light)
I love this song .
goodVideo,good reaction.
All your tear are belong to us.
you can give anything you to su-metal to sing, and she will just own it like a boss!
Like....for real! She can sing pop music, rock/metal, indian style music, ballads....she even raps!!!!!! She is s Queen, no doubt about it
🦊🤘👸🏻❤
I don't really listen to this song that much but when I do, it always gets me. Man just listen to the emotion in the vocals and in the instruments, it's just beautiful. \m/
This video is very important for Babymetal.
In Japan, they celebrate their 20th birthday in a big way as the age of adulthood.
Born in Hiroshima, SU-METAL finally returned to their hometown on December 2, 2017 for their 20th anniversary concert.
The producers have gone to enormous expense and trouble to give away a substandard stage for just two days of shows (and that's not in a big city). Tickets cost 20,000 yen for adults and 2,000 yen for youth.A great way to get local youth to see a triumphant SU-METAL.
A few hours before the start of this important party, it was suddenly announced that YUIMETAL would be absent from the show. She hasn't been seen in public since.
And... this is also the last video of guitarist Mikio, who died in January 2018.
SU-METAL's feelings for her hometown of Hiroshima, where the bombing occurred, were very strong. The fact that the rain was black in this graphic in the song's introduction.
I think that's where most people first noticed this aspect of the song.
This is difficult for foreigners to understand in writing, but Japanese people know that it rained in black for a while after the bombing.
Why can't I sleep?
I don't want anything, why can't I sleep?
I don't want anything, even tomorrow,
The future without you.

Sorry for the long story.
Song is about the atomic bomb of Hiroshima also about losing someone one of her grandparents lived through it also after the bomb struck endless black rain happened
She can sing man!
My all time favorite guitar solo
I'm trying to learn it with a friend (online) and it's going better than I thought.
Fuck I miss Mikio dude. Was one of my top 3 all time favorites. This was the last time we got to see him with Babymetal. Such a legend. RIP Ko-gami. Also yeah Su is indeed the Queen
Of course it was the pain in your back that made you cry. That is your story and you are sticking to it :-) Knowing the lyrics to this song makes it even harder not to tear up. I don't bother and let my tears flow.
When I first heard this I didn't understand how it brought tears... I still don't but it just is.
She is THE Metal Queen without any doubts, but still you don't have to be ashamed of a little tear come out, that's the evidence of a incredible singer and also a great leader, she is special and has (hopefully) a long road in this trip. Next time, to be an equal with Yui and Moa, try listening to "Onedari Daiskusen".
OMG!! Thank you so much for re-uploading this one.
Okay... tears in 3, 2, 1...
I almost cried..
Just imagine if you watched it live right there.
Congratulations on re-uploading!
I would like a reaction to a third album.
Mikio!
I also hope this awesome Reaction Video is not blocked.
Glad it didn't get blocked this time up to this point, I've watched it once again.
You are one of few (very few) BM reaction youtubers that I frequently revisited the same reaction video that you've made, sometimes because of fun, sometimes enthusiastic, sometimes emotional, sometimes crazy...
Anyway, maybe upcoming it's time for another Su-Metal Solo Classics - AKATSUKI
Take care. Stay Home Stay Metal
Do you want to see Su singing a song from the iconic anime series Evangelion?? Check out Tamashii no Rufuran. Try not to cry.
Heres the english lyrics 👇
Why can't you sleep?
Why does the night end?
I don't need anything, not even tomorrow
A future without you
Why were you laughing?
Why was I lonely?
The truth that no one knows is just
I wanted you to be by my side
Even despair becomes light
Even if the unstoppable rain continues to fall
Even despair becomes light
The sad rain will cast a rainbow
Wherever
I'll never see you again though
I want to never forget
If the dream continues, don't wake up
Why were you laughing?
Why was I lonely?
The truth that no one knows is just
I miss you
That was it
Even despair becomes light
Even if the unstoppable rain continues to fall
Even despair becomes light
The sad rain will cast a rainbow
Even now
The non-stop rain fills my heart
forever and ever
Sad for so many reasons - the lyrics (heartbreaking), Su tearing up with real emotion as she puts her heart and soul into her performance, Yui had just left the band and, saddest of all, Mikio on lead guitar died 3 weeks after this was filmed. We all cry at this one. PS Your words at the end...it clearly moved you enough to make you think about it afterwards. But I think it's even sadder than you may know. She wanted the pain of him leaving her because she at least knew that after the pain comes the rainbow of memories of good times shared. But he just walks away and there is no final parting, no pain...and so no rainbow either. At least, that's my interpretation.
Dude, you really should check out "Akatsuki unfinished version". Hands down the most emotional performance by Babymetal. You have seen the original video but the unfinished version is completely different, night and day. Keep the Babymetal coming, they have a lot of material you haven't seen yet. Songs like Distortion and Kagerou that are bangers, Black Babymetal with Moa and Yui like Onedari Daisekusen and 4 No Uta, and even the song dedicated to all of us fans "The One". (The One also has an English version out there but the video is mixed Japanese and English)
I you liked this try Akatsuki (unfinished), just Su and a piano. It will make grown men tear up.
Love your energy, try
Catch Me If You Can, BabyMetal
Black Night Legend Doomsday, show live, Kami Band Intro, Rocks! Lots of Fun!
I don’t know what song gets to me more… this or Monochrome piano version
Reading comments in that original video. Apparently a famous band member /musician had passed away.
One of the band's guitarists, that you can see in this video, passed away almost exactly one month later
This one made me cry first time I heard it, no shame dude. Su is a beautiful creature and a beautiful soul!
Su's entrance at the beginning of this concert is EPIC!! Imagine Su on top of a moving stage made up of a few giant fox heads and is like 2 stories high, which is pulled by like 6 muscular fox-men using huge chains! They pull her to the center of the arena. See clips of it here czcams.com/video/4TkOty2MywQ/video.html
So the next step is BabyMetal Legend D Su Metal 'White Love'
Hey dude, from a Babymetal fan to another, have a Kami band sugestion to you :) Dunno if you read about it yet or if anyone told you, but one of the Kami band members passed away back in 2018, Mikio Fujioka. He was one of the guitarists that played often with them. There's this video of the Kami band (civilian clothes, no Kami band getup) playing a song in his memory wich is very touching (and good ofc, it's the Kami band afterall!). It's a music written by one of the other guitarists that played often with them, Takayoshi Ohmura (he's the one playing the solo in this video you just saw), and in this video he plays with Fujioka guitar as a homage.(Fujioka used to play this song with Ohmura when he gave solo shows, so used to be 2 guitars). You can clearly see the man breaking down as soon as he starts playing the guitar. Check it out if you want to:
Kami Band - The Hill of Wisteria (A Great Tribute to Mikio Fujioka) an emotional Takayoshi Ohmura

I've seen that several times, as I have the version with Mikio. It's beautiful but gutwrenching at the same time ugh
To complete this, Mikios last live, Kami Band together with Gacharic Spin:
czcams.com/video/wgTh6wZjtGE/video.html
Always when I listen to the song it tears me up it’s real upsetting to me I’ve lost a few people in the past I connect to the song to an extent nothing like su’s connection with the Hiroshima bomb but su metal is the queen of metal for sure
Still waiting for syncopation and distortion. You're about a third of the way through all of the songs for Babymetal.
You should do sth from the great Japanese Band "Man With A Mission" Especially "Change the World" their newest MV is really great! :D
Check out Akutsuki :-)
If you watch this video until the end after the lights go out on the band. As they are in the dark, the lights of Mikio's amp setup start disappearing and as the last note of the piano is hit.. the last light goes out.. RIP MIKIO
Second, the song endless rain by X Japan is a continuation. But also a collaboration of baby metal and x japan. A Must See and reaction.
@@TheLeomarti Baby Metal and X Japan did 3 songs in concert collaboration No rain no rainbows, atasuki and zettai song. They are must sees and reaction. I like your reactions and would like to see these. Also there are 2 more songs with X Japan that feature Moa and Yui.
@@davidhuser3637 I'm sorry, but no collaborations exist. I have however seen fan edits in the past of someone editing Babymetal and X-Japan on stage in the same video. They are like wishful thinking.
However: Headbanger, No rain, No Rainbow and Akutsuki all clearly have references in the song or performance to X-Japan and their music.
Queen Suzuka!!!

Great great reaction Mr Rock N Roll. Very talented group.
If you love this group then you are going to love Melody Cristea and the group LIliac (Lil-EEE-ack) - A voice that reminds me of Lzzy Hale, Janis Joplin, David Coverdale,..mannerism/performance of Ronnie James Dio whom she idolizes.
Also you need to check out Unlucky Morpheus Unending Sorceress.
you'll need 'The One'
You should listen to Moa and Yui’s own solo song called GJ when Moa and Yui sing without Sue they call themselves Black BabyMetal
For true old school hard rock, Liliac. Mars live at Cumming Georgia
Yes, this is Mikio's last performance with Babymetal a few weeks before his accident. Would of been nice if they would of had Mikio and Takayoshi (who are close friends) would of came together during the solos like they did with Takayoshi and Leda in an prior performance of this song. But of course no one knew what was gonna happen. Mikio's last performance was on December 26th. 2017. It was a birthday party concert for Takayoshi. It was with all Kami Band members, Takayoshi band singer Kuze and the band Gachric Spin. czcams.com/video/wgTh6wZjtGE/video.html RIP
It is going to dissappear again, no doubt.
