What dawn of man, age of empires and total war feels like in one.
absolutely!
I've saved up around 100 euros only for manor lords, doesnt matter how expensive or what add ons you can buy I WILL HAVE IT
Don't expect for it to cost more than 40€ on release!
I was actually so surprised when I heard about the release date, but so freaking happy! Can't wait to play this game!
I am so excited for this game to come out!
Same ! So so hyped
Seams I have been waiting for ever for this now. Can not wait for its release.
Saaaameee and the process is super solid
I already watched the Video of Maurice, and love too hear your thoughts too :D
I just really like the idea of a relatively free village builder set in the medieval age!
Same I am so excited!!
I hope we can evolve our villages into castles and walls.
We will be able to but not at the initial release
@@bilioss that’s awesome, that will be the cherry on top. This has potential to be the best builder/battle sim ever. Stoked for the release.
The manor itself can be fortified into a castle with stone walls and towers etc (beyond just the wooden palisade that featured in the demo), but I don't believe it's possible to freely place walls wherever - they have to be connected to the manor house. I suppose it could be possible to encircle your town with walls though, so as long as the manor house completes the circuit, so-to-speak.
Need to buy a new gpu, cant wait for the release
i remember the demo was already impressive in terms of performance. Like not amazing but still better than many aa titles i played recently lol
Buying mine this week hopefully
Very nice 👍 This game is going to dominate.
the game is unique and nice, without a doubt, however I did see a trailer were there was cavalry, I was wondering if they will add knights/cavalry in full metal armor?
Uh that would be so dope
Cavalry is coming post EA release
Yes just wait updates
Really the closest this game is to is a true successor to Stronghold.
I love everything about this game, but can't help but wonder why any big franchise like total war hasn't already tried this? A game like this should have been made years ago. I can already see a better combat animation than that of Total War.
They've gotten complacent in there success, copy and paste for years they just change the map and a few animations. This game I hope wakes them up
I would argue for retail reasons. Manor lords are two, if not three, games in one.
And as Brady points out they know they can just put a new skin on and people will pay like it's new. Just look at ANNO or FIFA, or so many titles inbetween.
Will you be playing this game on the channel? I would love to see more! (And I miss the cosy foundation fridays)
10000% yes
There should be some "QUESTS" with this. I don't know much about it - but being a manor lord might encourage me to grow my place into something larger or join another lord. I don't know.
I like it
Am waiting for this on Xbox
🤩😍❤
Looks very nice But i hope buildings block arrows when units are behind it and not get shot from a distance while you thouth your units where hidden. Because now i see just arrows go trough houses!.
Oh and would be nice if some units can Hide in forests to create ambushes
Game will be in Development for years to come
The demo hit every checkmark I had for wants so anything new is pure bonus to me. I had that demo installed for 11 months and finally had to force myself to stop playing and uninstall it.
Can we built a city walls?
That’s planned. Not at EA release I think.
that would be awesome. They should also consider siege mechanics
That would be nice!
@@sannysenpai8041 Siege machines were usually useful against cities and walls, not during a battle in the fields :p
With the third person view of the Lord, I think they should have him walking around with two bodyguards, in the village, talking to the villagers, and you can even see him from the top down map view I think that would be a cool feature of the game. That’s just my opinion.
Is this for consoles as well?
not that I know
@@RudiRennkamel thanks for the reply.
BONER LORDS! RISE UP!
HERE WE GO, BOYS
is this the demo ? or the new release
the first part is the old demo, the second part are actual recordings from the dev that were showcased by gamestar. They are pretty new
Oh, right. I thought i've seen this game before, it was from you.
Something confuses me. The game is called Manor Lords, and we can even control our lord in a third person view as far as I understand. I imagined our village would start around the manor of our lord, with it being the center point. Yet, there is no such thing?
You build the manor as your village develops. At least that's what happened in the demo
@@HelioSmith That's slightly less immersive than it being there from the beginning, but that's a relief still. :) Thank you.
@@GleandraIt's crazy to have your immersion broken by the games title god damn. 😂
@@GleandraHow is that immersion breaking, are you under the impression there were random manors dotted around the HRE with no road connection, no farmlands surrounding them and 0 other civil infrastructure?
Out of all thing you have to concern about on this game, you chose to worry about the title. 😂😂😂😂
I dont know... For me, previous graphic style was better. More KingdomCome style...
Did they add any more content to the early game? I found it really lacking in the actual medieval life aspect. Your villages were just resource mules, there were no children in the game, no day/night cycle and nothing to do accept rush warfare. If not, then I think a LOT of people, who are treating this like medieval colony sim are going to be massively disappointed. It doesn't look like they've added any beautification assets either. I would say we should all temper our expectations for this one.
There a lot a lot more, can't say what exactly as it's not fully communicated. But from images etc there's a lot
No children (for obvious reasons) and day and night cycle doesn’t make much sense since it would stop the flow of gameplay (you would have to sit there and wait for your peasants to go to work again). It is included only as a cosmetic option. With the game having changing seasons and fast time progression day and night doesn’t make much sense anyways. But again, you can include it as a purely cosmetic feature. There was no combat in the demo so I’m not sure what you are talking about. The game was never supposed to be a medieval colony sim. It’s explicitly not a colony sim. It never tried or pretended to be. It’s a city builder + RTS launching into EA. The settlers would be a much better comparison than colony sims. Game will still be in development for years (at least two years IMO).
@@raskolnikov6443 if I remember correctly, there was day and night cycle which was available in the game last time I watched the gameplay, not to mention the switch between seasons, like snowy and then transition from that to sunny or windy. so, it's not always the same default weather or always sunny.
also, from what mdc said, I have done research and so far, found no such warfare or Combate available in the game yet. so, I don't understand where he got the idea that there is "rush warfare."
@@AaronOmar-co8bn Because I played the demo. Which had buildings greyed out and the upgrade chain for the manor clearly referencing the next tier. The game is designed around combat, the purpose of the early game is to fund soldier recruitment. It's not a Medieval colony sim.
@@mdc3227 so how did you get the "rush warfare" in game? I don't even think combat or military conflict is even added yet.
in your own words " except rush warfare "
so how does that make sense?.
I was not that impressed with the plants and bushes, (7:50) you thought the field looked cozy? Yet I only see small bushes (not hedges) popping in and out as if their miles away on the map. yet your right next to them, no texture on the path or under the grass, completely flat, no wild flowers, poppies or weeds growing up. The grass is only grass and nearly just 2 colored?
The AI walk through the fences, so forget about keeping anything out. The people up close have no detail at all. Laying out paths snap to straight lines to easily.
I could go on. Yet will wait a year before thinking about this game. It shows to me that they have still only been focused on their code and not the overall quality.
I do however like their animations, although the logs behind the bull has no pivot, was that too difficult to add? Their load snaps around behind them and those details is like having someone drag me away from the game. Maybe better playing "Farthest Frontier" or "Ancient Cities" until they have improved
their game a lot more.
I want to see morning mists rolling over the fields and the song of birds taking flight a less cluttered UI
that is more dynamic to your actions. Maybe a FP that is FP too.
Yet thx for your thoughts
I agree with you, if you have seen old fottage from the demo dont you agree that the nature looks alot better. I dont know why he decided to make it all to look more bland ish
'they'? its only one single developer fam.
You're mistaken about the pop-in bushes. That is intentional. If you notice, they only disappear when he is clicking to drag out a formation line. My assumption is that foliage disappears while drawing out formation so that you can more easily see the ground/your troops and not be covered by foliage.
@@jupiter4509he says he has only improved the graphics since that demo. No downgrades. The map is different than the one in the demo. Smaller and flatter terrain.
The graphics from the game footage in this video are unfortunately set to low according to Slavic (the guy who recorded the footage had overheating issues with his PC). But the foliage disappearing is intentional in order for you to more easily see and position your troops. It’s the most gorgeous city builder out there. Also according to Slavic currently the AI can’t go through fences. In reality a small fence like that wouldn’t be a big obstacle (a knight could just jump over it) but he probably has to keep gameplay in mind. The people up close are incredibly detailed. One of the best parts of the game. The games you named don’t come close graphically, especially the character models up close.
What the fuck did they do with the chaphics? In the demo it looked really good but now it looks bland and boring?
You’ll be positively surprised
I am 100% buying the game anyways. This shit is so well made!
graphics were on low
For the algorithm
